Hi all the X10 sifu's.
As above problem, I have assigned my contact ringtone, but once the contact person call me, the default ringtones(the one for general ringtones) ringing instead of the assigned contact ringtones?
What my problem here? Did I mess up with a system setting?
do you have caller id?

HI
Just wonder if anyone could tell me how to individualise the ringtones for different callers? Most mobile phones can do it now allowing the user to put a particular ringtone for a particular call number coming in and I suppose a complicated pda phone like the xda can do the same or am I wrong?
Cheers
V

Hi there, first of all im a noob and ive been only using this phone for a week or so. I am wondering, is there a function to set a message alert (SMS ringtone) specifically to certain contacts? Its frustrating to use global message alert for all the contacts. It would be nice if I can know who is messaging me by assigning them a specific ringtone. Please advice
anyone care to help?

thanks bro.. One more question.. When choosing a tone, how do I access the folder that has default msg tones?
Update: This software only plays wav files
Remember time used winmobile, I have a tweak to replace known telephone number in txt by its contact. For example when using miss call alert service, the operator might send notification txt such as "you have missed call from +xxx" if xxx in your phonebook, it will be replaced by "you have missed call from Mr. A (+xxx)" etc. That is convenient as you need not to remember / call that number to know who called you. Do we have this on android, particular Atrix 4G?

So I have all my contacts synchronized from Google contacts and when I receive messages the contact name is shown but when I receive calls the name is not shown, just the phone number. Any help on this issue?

Finished setting up my new V10 and I just noticed that all contacts have a main ringtone 'af_failure' which is barely audible. Worse is that I cannot edit the ringtone in each contact for some reason. Contacts are from Google and Exchange, ,and both are affected. Only work around I found is turning on Ringtone ID which selects a different ringtone that I cannot find how to change. The default ringtone in Settings> Sounds is VZW Airwaves (for now at least). Thanks
PS It's my first LG so...
My first LG also. I have no issue editing my contacts ring tone.
Fixed it. I simply had to go in the sounds choose a new ring tone, then select the one I wanted. All contacts now have the default. Kinda weird but as long as it works now
