Looking forward to dumping my iPhone and upgrading to the SGII when it finally arrives at AT&T or T-Mobile. The calendar update to MobileMe was the end for me.
1. Can email work with more than one Exchange account?
2. Can incoming mail show up in one central Inbox or will it show up in multiple Inboxes?
3. Is Cut-Copy-Paste fully implemented in email and other apps?
I know these are NOOB type questions but before I plunk down the big $ these are the things that are critical for me.
Thanks for your help!

Hi all,
I've spent most of the day searching the net for an app that let's me register appointments, and offers the possibility to send sms confirmation "Dear customer, you have an appointment ... date... time", and to send a reminder like 24 hrs before D-Day "Please remember your appointment ... date ... time".
I found all kinds of goodies. Some to install on a Windows PC, some hosted online. But in all cases you need to purchase an SMS package.
On this forum I found f.ex. the miniSMS server. This showed me it is possible to make an app that can send SMS'es. Great, now I need a way to have a tool like a traditional calendar to enter appointments, and the option to send SMS as described. I think best would be an app that works on top of the default installed calendar. But then again, I don't know...
Advantage with running it from the PDA is that the PDA does not need to be connected to the PC in any way, so messages can be send at any time. And ofcourse, you don't need to purchase expensive subscriptions.
I do webdesign, but I am not a programmer, so I will need some assistance. All input is welcome. Many thanks in advance.

1 & 2: not 100% sure about the samsung mail app but there are email apps out there that can; like the android stock email app (freeware)
3: yes; android can copy paste; although it depends on the app if you can actually select text
I have been on lots of fourms. Att form is ok but you have to be careful of some of the advice same with other. This is the place to be.
One that note I like to hear from Blackberry coverts
blackberry still the best when it comes to email clients. Has anyone found a email program Paid or not that work as well as BB.
See if I can make myself clear. BB has all the emails from all your acounts. ( not just one but as many as you like) lets say gmail, hotmail, yahoo, comcast ect. They are all in on place. When you get mail they all show there in one icon. You cand send recieive and compose from this on place. you dont need to even go to your yahoo mail or your gmail. Its is all stored in one nice area along with saved file email deleted mail. not just for one type email client. And works with microsoft exchange.

Hey all.
Im trying to do something realy complicated and I havnt found a solution online yet.
What I have is my tweets from twitter being sent to my phone via my other twitter account, and I want to forward only those tweets to my friends via SMS.
I have a rough system going where i just manualy forward the tweet to a contact group with all the contacts in but Im looking for something automated.
The other problem is i reviece tweets from other users on my phone so I'd want a rule based system that only forwards tweet SMS's starting with @PTPupdates (My user name)
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance

If you could forward to GMail as email or to your Google Voice as SMS (using an app like PhoneLeash - tinyurl.com/phoneleashfree) maybe you can then setup some rules within GMail/GV?
Samsung Galaxy 2 has an AWFUL design in the contacts system.
If my friend Bill calls me and I go to save his new phone number into an existing contact, the phone lists ALL 1200 Google contacts "All Contacts" - it's awful design and stupid.
I've discussed this previously in a thread here (some people didn't initially understand my point)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1241425
Also when I go to send a new SMS from the Messaging tool on the stock Galaxy 2, when I type in a partial name it resolves email address's as well. Why on EARTH would I want to "SMS" an email address? It's such awful terrible, stupid design and I find it frustrating.
Does the CM9 builds for the SGII continue to do this or do they use a different contacts / messaging engine which doesn't have this poor design?
Anyone know the answer (or even understand what I'm getting at?)
Appreciate it.
Anyone? I need to decide to u/g or not
I think, the idea behind listing all accounts is:
1. You may add a new number to an already existing e-mail account, you have in your list.
2. The SMS app isn't seen as SMS only, but as an overall message app. So you can write a "message" either to a number or an e-mail.
Glad that I could help.

1:
I don't want to add a number to an existing EMAIL account I want to add it to a list of "My Contacts" NOT "All Contacts" - this is the way other Android devices work and it's utterly terrible design by Samsung.
2: The SMS app sucks then, can I replace it entirely? If so, any suggestions?
FWIW, to replace both stock sms and contacts I have tried Contapps and Deja Office.
Hope it helps
