Use multirecovery and flash your stock recovery. Then use androot to unroot phone.

I was thinking of rooting my p500 and wanted to know if there is a way to completely bring the phone back to stock so that the guys at LG dont know that I had rooted it earlier if I ever have to send it back for repair or something.
Can It be done by just flashing the nandroid backup from custom recovery and then unroot via z4root?
Please help guys i am a noob in android
Yes, KDZ Flasher, but I don't recommend using it. It does work, but there have been reports of people bricking their phones because of this.
And oh, it restores everything including the stock recovery.

You still have the custom recovery. They might find that out
So basically there aint no way I can remove the custom recovery other than the KDZ flasher?
And is this the only way to return the phone into stock condition?

Something like that.
Check this thread (HOWTO section):

When a phone is simply rooted with super one click, and it's unrooted later and if i do a factory reset via phone than the root won't be noticable anymore, right?
I mean if i didn't use custom recovery just root via super one click.
So basically the guys at LG/ the guys who repair my phone, won't be able to notice my phone was once rooted.
And when the phone was once rooted but they don't know it was they will still repair it, right?

it was rooted with z4root & tried installing custom recovery & tried flashing a new stock rom using KDZ ...
25/01 brought to assistance ... let's wait if warranty applies or i'll have to pay

Dude i did all the steps u mentioned ...However i have one more trick up my sleeve....
Before i installed "Custom Recovery" i created a backup copy of my LG's recovery ...SO in case i have to return my phone for warranty claim..I will restore my nandroid backup first and then erase that custom recovery and replace it with LG's recovery that i backed up and also i will unroot using Z4root...I wud prefer this than flashing using KDZ..
how to create a backup of the original LG's recovery?? sorry but i am a noobie.

It is possible- but why?
If you are thinking about "flashing it all back" to "original LG firmware" for "service reasons" then you must use kdz flasher anyway.
KDZ only bricks the phone if u flash the wrong KDZ.. be careful.. I've flashed 5 KDZ's so far with no problems
I'm a noob too and I read a lot for all this stuff here.
I have rooted my phone with SuperOneClick.
I want to install and the custom recovery.
But with KDZ and the flasing of original LG ROM does the custom recovery go away?

odin flassh = unrooted = warranty back
If you flashed stock via odin you lost root. Remember that you still have CWM if you flashed it. You need to flash stock recovery as well. To check if you have root you can download for example: android terminal emulator. type the command: su.
Another way is to check if you have the application called: superuser. If thats not the case you lost root.

nope, u need to reflash the whole stock rom to get the warranty. i'm pretty sure service centre will consider your warranty is voided if it sees other rom installed other than the stock one, even with stock recovery

This is true. You'll need stock everything and unrooted.

yes.. including stock box, stock warranty card, and stock buying receipt.
(read stock = original)
Update with Kies (The worst process ever). You'll get Stock and Warranty back. Including the Stock Recovery.
Hello,
I have the samsung Galaxy s3 unrooted with CWM installed in it. I want to remove the CWM for some warranty issues. Can you tell me any way to remove it without actually resetting the phone to factory settings? Is there any way to do it?
only way i know is to flash stock sammy rom which also overwrites the recovery therefore putting you back to stock sammy recovery and stock rom.but try to search thoroughly, who knows you might find a solution instead of just waiting for the answer here in forums.

Then you're completely out of luck. You need to flash a new recovery stock or otherwise.

I know I can flash back to stock, but I'd like to uninstall TWRP for warranty purposes. Anyone know how I can do that?

You don't "uninstall" a recovery, you simply flash a new one over the top of it. In this case, you would flash the stock recovery back. However, the most correct thing to do would be to .tot back to the original 10B_3 firmware and this will replace the recovery with stock in the process.
Thank you for the help.
