I just received my Samsung GT-i9100 in the mail from the UK. I recently converted to Android after years of using IOS. One of the killer apps I was glad to see was also available for android was the HBO Go app. It installed just fine but the only thing I get is audio, no video. I have the latest stock firmware installed. Does anyone have any suggestions. My apologies if this has been addresses in another post but I could not find it. Thanks.
I'm having the same issue on my G2x. It was working with the stock rom but now it doesn't work with cm7..
Same here Galaxy S II. No video, Lightrning Rom 1.5
Help Please with same issue
I jsut got a Samsung Galaxy 2S (from onthegosolutions google it]) and it came to me ROOTED... I had 2 weeks ago a Samsung Infuse from att and the HBO Go app worked GREAT.. I got this phone on Friday and it doesnt work.. I get adio only and no video.. IS this because it is rooted.. IF so they said they woudl send me a brand new one not opened (not rooted) to replace this one.. Does this work on a non rooted Galaxy S2 (unlocked) thanks guys for your help. I am new to all this.. came from the iphone world..

I have the same problem on a stock import from amazon with no root
hbo go not working
Received my Galaxy S2 last thursday from Amazon. Confirmed that both HBO Go and Max Go audio only works without video. I tried this before root with stock rom and after on Lite'ning Rom v6.1. It maybe the codecs they are using on the apps?

In my opinion,and just mine
id send it back, i prefere to have things new, not tampered with, ready for me to tamper with , if you can send it back asap and get a brand new SGS2 then do so.
But thats my opinion
i agree with treva, if you have the option of sending it back and getting a brand new one in box then do so.
if you cant send it back for a new one you can always flash your current one back to a stock kernel/firmware and then from a software perspective it would like it was out of the box.
Rooting voids Samsung warranty . So depends if they check that and accept the return or not .

Why is this game saying it is incompatible with my Galaxy 10.1 and Acer A500 when I can blatantly see reviews for both devices under the marketplace listing!!!
Other people have the game installed, what is going on here?
Hey, when did this happen?? I was just about to buy it when I saw your post! I swear it it was compatible too earlier this today!!! Thanks for the heads up though too!!

This is weird, glad I bought it and downloaded it before this happened works great on tab
works on my tab too..
it works just fine here man.... i'd even go as far as saying that this game runs just as smooth, if not smoother then it did on my ps2!!!!! for real, this is one of the best games i have ever played on my tablet , in the sense of how fluid it plays with absolutly no lag what so ever..... also plays great on my google nexus and htc amaze
Maybe they changed it for some reason. If you still want to install it, you can clear your markets applicationdata, edit your /System/buid.prop and change your device to something like
ro.product.model = Nexus S
ro.product.manufacturer = samsung
or whatever phone is still compatible to download it

that's the weird thing, I did a little investigating and there haven't been any updates according to the Market website, it's still version 1.0
I dont have test this! There is a version for galaxy tab?
So whats going on? How do i download he game?
Found out
Go to the Rockstar website and find the game. Apparently the company didn't test the game for rooted and jailbroken devices. It won't work properly if your device is rooted, which sucks because they waited to add that little bit until myself and a lot of others bought it already and found out the next day that it now comes up as incompatible. They are willing to refund the money. Just follow the instructions they have.

Ha! There's nothing about rooted devices that stops it from running except the fear that it will get pirated...

Say I were to flash from a custom rom back to stock. Think it would work the same way?
Edit: flashed to stock rom and can download again. TB works like a charm

I'm on a stock ROM (freshly updated to 3.2) and Root Checker says there's not root access.
Still cant see/download/run GTA3.. (GT-P7500R)
WTF Rockstar?

My Tab's rooted too... the key to getting it to work if you have issues (won't start, no sound, etc) seems be to delete the resource files (Android/data/com.rockstar.gta3) and restart the app, forcing it to download it again. Works perfectly after that.
It's working on mine also, stock 3.2 HC rooted. Just installed & downloaded game data
It's back! It's returned to the My Apps list on my Tab and market.android.com also reports it's compatible again!
Rooted, P7510, Galaxy Task v10

Total recall for the s2 works on the note 2!
The story:
Just wanna put it out there for everyone if its not already known...
Ive been looking for a call recorder for my SGN2 and I tried all the free one off the market but non worked. My note is not rooted and is every bit the way samsung intended it. I googled "n7100 call recorder" and found a page that said the total recall that is specifically for the S2 works with the N2 so instelled from their page but this did not work. I went to google play and found it on there, uninstalled it from there and installed again from the play store this time (its now listed as for the S2 & S3 on the play store). This time its working, perfect call recording on a stock unrooted Note 2
Hooe this info helps
Its the 14 day trial ive installed and hopefully will continue working. The full version is £6 however but for me is worth it!
If you are using a deodexed ROM, there is a call recording mod posted (for LJ3), there is also a call recording mod posted for odexed ROMs in the Original Development section (about to be updated for LJ7).
They both work and are free

Yes ive read, but ive not rooted my phone yet and want to wait a little before I do, I value the warrenty for the moment lol. this call recorder works on non rooted note 2s
Currently theres nothing about a call recorder that works unless youve rooted your phone so thought id share
Sorry, I misread your post about your root status.
I'm sure you know this anyway, but you do know that you can root and return to original condition again for warranty purposes...
Enjoy the best of both worlds!
i used TotalRecall for Galaxy Note (after trying Dr.Ketan's mod several times and cannot get it working on lj7) and works like charm. The sound quality is excellent. It's expensive but it can automatically record and also have other features

Yeah i do know that yeah, but until theres a real reason for 'me' to root, then ill hold off.
I'm not rooted and use Call&Note Pro. Yes it was like $13!!!! Way over what I pay for apps. Since call recording is the function I need the most I bought it. Its almost perfect and I have total recall but haven't tried it. Used it on SG2 "rooted" but didn't even try it on Note 2 since I'm not rooted yet. Anyhow try call¬e pro out. Default settings should work. If it doesn't work cancel the order within 15 min and you wont be charged.

You dont need to be rooted with TR, thats why I thought id let people know. Pkus theres a 14 trial version you can use for free to confirm. Dont kniw about price difference, TR is £6 sterling. If your $s are US I think this a bit more £8/9 maybe
Edit: yeah its £8.14
Aquired a copy and works well, not as straight forwad to setup as TR but is more comprehensive, ideal if you want to bug somebodys phone lol
Ok so so far in this thread Total Recall and Call&Note Pro both work. I have both. I favor Call&Note Pro because you have the option of mp4, mp3, 3gp, wav and the GUI is very clean and not ugly. Both are expensive apps, but both work just fine with or WITHOUT root.

I believe thatoption is there because it doesn't work with bluetooth, so it disables recording when a bt headset is used so the recording isn't just one sided.

Hey, just a question. Already searched around for threads that were in any sense relevant to my question, so.
My friend ( a girl ) had a Galaxy Player 5.0 before she got a kickass Nexus 4. She used the 5.0 as a regular smart phone, I think without the data though; so text and calling. She told me to unscrew all the little screws and to stick my at&t sim in there. So, I was wondering.. is this real? She showed me it and I played around with it and it had the 2.3.6 apk's for the stock dialer and mms. which i'm sure she download off the web.
Does this actually work, or have I been convinced of something that is way too far fetched.
she has t mobile though, which is also GSM though I think.
EDIT: Also, if this is true, could I use a Galaxy Player 4.0 instead of the 5.0?
take from the web pictures of desassembly gplayer and show me where to stick it
Send from sg wifi5.0 with mine kernel

Hey all, I hope you can help me a bit. Since few weeks I've back to use mine old phone S4 Active. When I was using J5(2016) everything was running clear, but since I've switch to S4Active, I have a little problem with mine GearFit2- yes it paired sucessfull BUT, i can't install such apps like Endomondo or even new themes on mine GF2 ;/ Any ideas why? It was 100% fine with J5 but now this... . And no, I will not go back to J5- it's way slower than mine 5years old S4Active xD
Thanks in advance
