I've previously used LGMDP to install clockworkmod and haven't had any problems. I upgraded to V20g using LG's update utility and that's been fine, though it's T_Mobile branded. I've tried to install the unbranded European V20e through LGMDP and that's where the problems started.
At the end of the V20e flash, I got errors when it tried the NV restore. Items 1 to 158 have a status of NV_FAIL_S. After that, the phone won't boot. It gets stuck on the Android boot animation.
I've tried NV Restore with previous backups that I know have been OK before, but it still fails the same way.
If I use LGMDP to flash T-Mobile V20g, then flash clockworkmod (still getting NV errors), I can run clockwordmod & restore my backup from before I started this. After that, the phone boots & seems normal. I've got a signal, anyway.
I'm still a bit worried that something isn't right, though. It still refuses to restore the NV. I've tried going back to V10g using LGMDP and it fails to restore the NVs and the phone won't boot.
So, has clockworkmod restored everything I need and is there any way to fix this so I can use LGMDP again?
I think I've resolved this now, so I'll post what I've done in case anyone finds this in a search.
I already had a V20g KDZ file for my provider, which I got by following the instructions here. I looked for an alternative flash app and found details of KDZ Updater here.
V20g flashed successfully with that software. After that, I've tried LGMDP again and can do an NV Restore with no errors now, so things look like they're back to normal.
I still can't flash V20e with this software, though, I still get stuck on the Android boot animation.
I had changed baseband 3-4 times. In last 3 attempts, I also got these errors. But my phone rebooted normally after these errors. I had fully working phones in all the cases. Don't know why there were errors?
Same thing here. Hundred something NV_FAIL_S errors but phone seems ok though.
You have to do factory reset after flashing new ROMs.
This may solve bootloop.

ive never heard of this one before. isnt it just wipe cache, dalvik cache, etc, in recovery?
I decided to try again with V20e but used the kdz file and KDZ Updater this time. Same thing happened, stuck on Android boot animation.
So I put clockwork on, wiped cache & dalvik, tried again, same problem. Reboot into clockwork, factory reset, reboot, same problem. Finally, I booted into clockwork, went to Advanced and Fix Permissions. After that it booted fine.
While installing clockwork through LGMDP I didn't get any errors. I've also tried an NV Restore with no problems. No idea what went wrong the first time.
Hi,
I tried to flas MiniCM7_Pro_V18.zip with clockwordmod and once I restarted, it said corrupted ROM.
Now when I restarted my phone it is stuck at SE logo page.
Please help
-Factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvink
Boot into recovery (click the 'back' button when booting). Reinstall the rom (try a previous or alternative version), repeat the process described above (backup + factory reset), and reboot twice, you are good to go, no worries.
I had clockwordmod installed, however while flashing the new ROM, that went off.
Now I am unable to go back into recovery by pressing back button, cannot do a factory reset, its just struck at SE loga
The ROM installed was a bad one...

Just a corrupted download, miniCM7 works fine.
To unbrick your phone, use SEUS. Reinstall your SE stock rom and start teh proccess again: root your phone, instal CWM again, download a new rom and flash it.
I hope that helped. I know there is a tut here in xda bout this proccess but I just coudn't find it.
Thanks nit3wolf
I am again a happy X10 mini pro user. Fantastic help.
Searched the flash tool, ftf for x10 min pro stock and done.
My first time helping anyone here, I'm happy I was usefull!
You're always welcome, bro.
Cheers!
Hi Friends,
Model Number - GT-P7510
I recently rooted and installed the CM9 ICS nightly rom using the noob video instructions (This included rooting with Odin, installing CMW recovery 4.0.0.4, then I flashed the ROM cm-9-20120624 Nightly and finally flashed GAPPS-ics).
I over clocked using the CM9 settings and everything worked perfectly for about a week, it was great. Then it just crashed while I was reading my email and began to bootloop. After reading for similar errors I rebooted to recovery and tried wiped the cache and dalvic cache, I wiped data and factory reset several times but nothing worked, always the same bootloop. I re flashed the same ROM and still nothing, after a while the boot screen would simply freeze instead of bootloop.
Then I connected to my PC, and did this to no avail. In fact it simply added to the problem by adding a yellow warning triangle while attempting to boot so I did the Oden thing again like the first time I rooted however I installed CMW version 5.5.0.4 instead thinking it might help but it hasn't.
One last point, when I attempt to wipe data/factory reset the tablet seems to freeze and attempt to reboot rather than say something like "success" as it would during a cache wipe. This maybe normal or it maybe the problem! who knows?
On that point, I would be very grateful if some of you could help get me to the point when my PC recognises the tablet so I can reflash a new ROM.
Thanks in advance,
Karl
I once got the same problem. The only thing that helped was to flash back the stock rom via Odin with the pit file. And don't forget to do a hard reset after flashing the rom. I'll just stick to the stock rom until the official update is getting released.

Questions go in the Q&A section
I think the best way is still to do factory reset, go back to the stock ROM first and try custom HC ROM until the official ICS is released.
Hi,
I have x10 mini pro (u20). I installed successfully minicm10 and it works fine. I am trying to downgrade it back to mincm7.I tried to two different processes (with seus and with flashtools) but both fail:
1. With repair/update with seus.
I follow the instructions. When my phone is in flash mode, seus starts to download but then I get a message saying: "there is no software available for the phone". "sony update engine doe's have software available for the phone".
2. I tried to just to flash nAa kernel 14 or stock kerne but then the phone is hang when the logo apears (nAa or 'sony ericsson') and I connot enter to CWM recovery.
I search for a solution here in the Forum, I read many instructions, but I did not find a solution for this problem. I hope someone here can provide me with the solution. At the moment my phone works well with minicm10.
Thanks in advance
Did you do the uninstall wipes before flashing nAa-14? Format /system /data and /cache in JB recovery before flashing nAa-14

Hi sason70,
I had a similar problem with my x10 mini pro. When I tried going back to MiniCM7, I tried using Flashtool for nAa 14 kernel. It completed fine, but on reboot, it hung on nAa logo. I tried with nAa 13, nAa 12 kernels, but still got stuck with the logo.
Then I tried a different approach. I re-flashed nAa jb kernel again.
On reboot, I got back to JB (so I knew how to get back to at least a working phone).
On next reboot, I pressed Back hardware button and entered recovery.
Here I did Factory reset, cleared Dalvik cache (didn't know if it was required), formatted /system, /data.
Next I applied the MiniCM7 zip file and the gapps for it from SD card.
I wanted to poweroff, but there is only a reboot option. So I removed the battery after selecting reboot (and when the screen went blank).
Next, I used Flashtool to put nAa 14 kernel.
On reboot this time, it went to first welcome screen.
Of course, I went back and restored a pre-JB backup and got my phone working as before (call log and all).
I hope that helps.

Thank you for the replies. I appreciate it.
I made a factory reset, wipe all data and cache. I flashed nAa 14 and I was able to go the CWM. But I still have problem to install Minicm7: The installation starts fine, but when it reaches to wipings/system stage, the process stops to advance when it is around 80%.
What I am doing wrong now?

You need to re-partition the internal storage again to their original sizes.
Boot into CWM - Mounts and Storage and do:
Format /system
Format /data
Format /cache
They got resized with JB and nAa-14 will restore their original sizes again so you can flash MiniCM7
:victory:
Thank you very much.
Now everything is in order (I hope...)
how about the x10 mini? the battery isn't removable...
how to go to the flashmode?

Plug your phone to a computer, strat flashing. It will ask you to get into flashmode. Then, with cable still plugged, do a hard reset by holding shutdown and home (middle) buttons at once. After some time, LED will turn on green and it's in flashmode. If it gets out of flashmode fast, then just do an extra hard reset when it just got into flashmode, i succeeded to repair my e10i this way.

Thanks dude. that worked like a charm. now got wifi error issues... i guess its just a kernel problem. should work it out soon.
Thanks again.
so one fine day, stupid me went to install miui without doing a factory reset. then i realised the mistake, did it, and reflashed. the rom seemed laggy, so i decided to return to my previous installation of donuthd (i did flash doomkernel again)
i had an nandroid backup, so i restored, and everything worked fine except that there was no reception and "com.android.phone" keeps "failing". then i decide to try a fresh install, so i entered cwm, wiped everything, and flashed rom only to have the installation abort due to some incompatibility issue with cwm and the x10. i realised i had to have xrecovery, so i installed it again (even though i was sure i had it already) but it continued to boot into cwm, and i could only boot into xrec with my sd card removed, which is stupid because i cant flash anything then.
now, for some reason, after repeated restore attempts, my x10 is now stuck at the bootup screen (doomkernel) and refuses to go further. i accidentally deleted my nandroid restores (-.-, i know) so i cant restore anything, and i cant reflash the rom because cwm wont work.
in this case, do i reflash a stock ftf file? or...?

try doomlords bootmanager v2. It has both xrec and cwm.
Press the menu button(left side) on the blue led colour and select xrecvory and install stock based roms.
if it doesnt work flash stock firmware via flashtool. Links can be found in my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749426

Try to flash some xRecovery kernel only (e.g. stock one) or flash just for now some of the fxp-based ROM's (via CWM)
