[Q] Touch pad and pointer sensitivity adjustments? - Eee Pad Transformer Accessories

My touchpad is way to sesitive. I keep opening links accidentally when typing. Is there any way to adjust sensitivty?

I don't know if there is an easy way to do this, but when I'm about to do some serious typing I'm in the habit of just switching the trackpad off with the function key at the top of the keyboard. (But then again, I don't mind the trackpad's sensitivity as a pointer, just its ability to screw up my screen's focus while i'm typing)

I hope Asus fixes it. Perhaps a one second deactivation while typing? Any other ideas?

Just another glaring shortcoming in the not-ready-for-primetime Honeycomb I guess.
It's kind of funny. Nearly every day I find some new, frustrating way in which Android completely swings-and-misses.

Is there any way to get 180 degree rotation?

Hi, I'm using a T-Mobile G2 with VillainRom 5. Just wondering if there was some kind of setting or an app which would allow me 180degree rotation.
In one way this would be cool. Like in my car, it would be helpful not to look an idiot when you put it the wrong way round and go "duhhh, why isnt it rotating" when in a rush using copilot. On the other hand, it's a nightmare keeping it to landscape when using the thing in bed for digg or the browser, so I tend to hold it the opposite way to how it would go back to portrait.
I've been looking about for this for a while now and still haven't found anything. Anyone have any suggestions?

[Q] Glitchy Touchscreen?

Hi all
Not sure if its the correct place to put this but whatever.
My android device (Archos 70) has a glitchy touchscreen. I'll explain..
1:When i press down onto the screen for a while and lift it up, (long enough to trigger the long hold function or just performing a very slow swipe) it will not register any touchscreen input for maybe a second right after i lift my finger up.
2:Also, the touchscreen algorithm is odd in such a way the "touch location" lags a little behind my finger when i slide. not lag as in slow, but if i were to slide my finger upwards and stop, the "touch" will be below my finger. It definitely is the algorithm's fault...
3:Both are NOT because of badly written third party apps.
My android phone responds immediately but this device has a lag..
I cant take notes or use handwriting apps this way..
Help? Anyone? Any "drivers" or hacks???

If you look around XDA or ask someone, they could add tweaks to your build.prop to increase scrolling smoothness
If you have your bootloader unlocked and a custom kernel on then you can use init.d scripts which will drastically improve the performance of your device and scrolling should feel a lot better. Providing the kernel supports it....
Anyway you are better off contacting a Dev for your device over this as it voids your warranty and I don't know if this can be done on your device whatsoever

Screen sensitivity change after ICS?

Has anyone noticed a change in how the touchscreen behaves after installing ICS?
It seems to me that it is biased a little more towards interpreting a touch as swipe or scroll rather than select. For example clicking links in a webpage or tapping icons on the homescreen seem to require a much more deliberate effort to select/open. It's not awful, but I would like to be able to bias it back a little more to selecting rather than swiping.
Is there a setting for this anywhere or an app available that allows adjustment?
I would to know too.. I hate this..
But it's not just from latest ICS 4.0.3 International, the Beta version also suffer same thing.
Is HC not like this? (I upgraded to 4.0.3 Beta as soon as after bought Mediapad )
Yes, I noticed it also. When you turn on Settings - Developer options - Pointer location, it clearly shows how your clicks/dots becomes swipes/lines.
yes, you're right.. it sometime (most time ) cause texting experience not so fluid (letter not appear as it's detected as swipe not click).
got the same thing.. i've changed the launcher, so with the Apex launcher it's not that bad in the homescreens.. when i enabled the option to show "pointer location" i can see the "tap" as a line, or a "swipe" line :\
tried the same on my Galaxy S, and all the "taps" are only a small point.. it's much better than on the MediaPad.. i hope it's just a software issue and it can be solved..
maybe, we could try something like "screen booster" or "touchscreen booster" from the Market (Play)
Erratic screen while charging
The other thing I've noticed after ICS international is that the touchscreen is now erratic while charging and in a case. I believe this is a common problem with capacitive touchscreens, but hadn't noticed it until after flashing ICS. It is not an issue if I remove the pad from the case and hold it in my hand.
Anyone else seen this?
This sensitive touchscreen isn't Angry Birds friendly. Constantly shakes a little bit.
soooo.....is there any solutions?

Not unless huaweis coders tweak it or releases the source code.

[Q] software keyboard help

Hey guys,
Basically I just need a keyboard that is going to work effectively for me. I have tried a fee like swift key x for tablet but its auto correct is terrible IMO and I think it misses letters I am typing when my sped gets up. The go keyboard I also tried but its format doesn't like my thumbs or fingers. At the moment I am using the default android keyboard and it works great but slows down and freezes up while doing urls, Facebook and a little bit while typing this. It may be because i run in eco power mode most of the time, but even when i do try in balanced i tend to still notice it a bit. In Polaris it works great though. So what keyboard should I be getting? Paid or not.
Thanks,
Thumb Keyboard is working great for me.

[Q] Sticky/slow Typing

As the title suggests, typing is very difficult on my Rezound. It has been since I first got it. As I try and type, my key presses take a long time to register. This happens to me regardless of rom or keyboard. Does anyone else have this problem and know of a fix? Thanks.
Hmmm... I have heard of this, but mostly on custom ROMs using Swype, the fix was to enable Force GPU rendering in the Settings-Developer options section. If it is enabled already, try disabling it.
Other than that, does everything else that uses the touchscreen work fine? Have you done a factory reset?
I have always used the SwiftKey keyboard to type. At the moment I am using the Adrenaline 2.0 Rom and in Landscape mode there is significantly more lag vs portrait mode. I'm flashing an Rage 1.6 atm. Hopefully that will change it.
Or maybe I just text way too fast.. lol
Thanks for the response. I'm not a big fan of Swype. I am currently using SwiftKey but I have tried many different keyboards. I never type in landscape but I just tried typing in landscape and am getting the same issues with "sticky" keys. I've tried enabling gpu rendering for a week, and then disabling it for a week and have the issue regardless.
