just one observation ,weather is perfect ( showing my current weather conditions ) but i see the news is... U . S overall ,
it does not reflect summary of interntional and local news snippets
eg..like my htc desire hd .( similar ..).weather and news ,does ?
any suggestions ?

i use the news and weather app on my desire hd for the function of a certain alarm to give me,hourly voice weather announcements. ( this is a stock app that comes on htc desire hd .)the news has a mix of international news and one subsection eg. SOUTH AFICA ..with all local news , as wel as a mix in the sport section )
on the galaxy tab 10.1 v there is no " news and weather app" for this alarm to function.
(i tried some genie widgets ( floating around )but it did not work !
your signed improved news and weather works perfect ( thank you )
i get a weather fix etc.
the alarm is now also functioning ,but unfortunate no subsection for local ..eg. SOUTH AFRICA ? it would be " cool " if i had a mix of international and local news.
Any suggestions appreciated !

just curious, why remove Email? everything else makes sense and I really want to try this ROM but I need Email. And I imagine most others do too. I could be wrong though. it wouldn't' be the first time.
anyway, very interested in trying. is there a workaround I could exploit to install only Email after I install your ROM?

Here's my ROM based on Mondilv's NATALY.
This is my final release as I dont think there will be any further updates on COM2 (21916).
Release 4.3.1 is to rectify the WMP skin and Facebook Online Album.
Why Special Edition? I released it to coincide with 10 October 2010; so it's 101010. But why am I releasing this before 10/10? Well, I cant wait to let you play with it over the week end
Features:
- RSS Hub on homescreen If you install CHT, the RSS Hub will be disabled from the homescreen. Landscape view not supported in most views due to the RSS Hub. You can still set your shortcut key for landscape view.
- Quick links on homescreen (4x4)
- Programs Tab 3x10 I would advise not to move around the Programs tab as it will freeze the device.
- People Tab with link to Facebook "Updates and Events"
- Messaging with "Secure box"
- Internet Tab tips: (Opera is not installed) If you want to have the quick links with their respective pages displayed graphically, ensure you add the links BEFORE installing Opera (mobile or Mini).
- The Agenda in Calendar tab will show multi-days appointments
- Stock tab I have included exchange rates instead.
- In Photos & Videos Tab you can view Facebook albums of your contacts
- Marketplace
- Facebook Tab (removed since its development is on-going still)
- Twitter Tab
- Swype - 2 versions released; 1 with and the other without Swype
- Footprints Tab. Footprints is hard-coded for the Leo camera. For Topaz you have to get gps photo and then save to Footprints tab separately.
- PP & fsreplxfilt.dll disabled
There are some glitches on the Settings screen which I cant remove. It's the last item "AGPS..." which leads to nowhere when clicked. Sorry for this. Also, the Operator name is not displayed on the home screen but on the Phone dialer screen instead. I use Dynamic Operator Name to display the charges.

1. Google for homescreen, theme or clock and I am sure you will find more choices.
2. Settings>Personal>Buttons>change your desired shortcut key.
camera has 3 MPX ( can you do something about it? or give me a cab that resolves this problem
Only issue found so far is 3MP res. for the camera, where has 5MP gone.
That said otherwise its fast and very stable, battery life is the best I've had bar none, on a full charge this morning, its currently showing 80% !!!, all ROMs to date are down to 40% or less.

Wooppsss! Let me investigate and revert. Anyway, I am reluctant to downgrade the camera package to previous version as this version supports Facebook friends album view.
I too noticed the battery lasts longer than usual.
Sorry for the camera issue. Please bear with me and thank you for reporting.
EDIT: Tested BSBTweaks, but didnt work.

okay, am a noob so be gentle if i go wrong or violate any rule
in this post, i would mention some apps to get as close to WP7 interface as possible.
none of the applications attached in this post is made by me. each of them are collected from internet. if i violate any rule, feel free to warn me.
1) WP Lock - the windows phone lock imitates the WP7 style on Android it's fairly light (63 kb only)...also has missed call and message count like WP7 lock
2) Interface - i use Launcher 7 as it not only supports 2X1 horizontal tiles, but also 1X2 vertical tiles and widgets which is pretty awesome METRO UI is also good (it has a better WP7 statusbar than Launcher 7) both these launchers support "LIVE" tiles of Contacts (displaying pics of your contacts), counts missed calls, unread SMS/MMS, unread Mail count, etc.
3) PEOPLE HUB & DIALER - The App attached here ("people hub") imitates the "contacts" interface of WP7..the WP7 dialer is also featured here..looks pretty good
4)PhotoSafariPro - the WP7 style Gallery for android...the only downside is it dosen't allow multi touch...but there is a nice "film" interface
5) Music - there are many imitating the WP7 music player but the 1 which suits the QVGA resolution of our X10 mini is UBER MUSIC
6) Keyboard - the WP7 keyboard....this keyboard is also available in blue colour if you want, just surf up google
7) FACEBOOK - the FB has got the awesome "live tile" (like) look

nw f da PhotoSafari Problem, i used it wid my mini and it actually fitted the screen perfectly, even u can go to market and see for device compatibility yourself....and for contacts, i had da notorious "parsing" error, so i never actually got a chance to test the same.
and i am already searching for the WP7 mms/sms style for quite sometime now...will keep you updated if i find something ......anyway, thanks for taking your precious time and testing these apps, thanks
i found mms.apk, contact.apk, phone.apk allmost everything styled in WP7 for android but it is made for Galaxy S I9000 so if someone know how to comile it to our phone will be great

Hi,
Great to hear you're a fan Until Themer integrates a lockscreen, you can always use WidgetLocker.
The wallpapers used in the themes are found in the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/prefs/ folder.
If you visit the MyColorScreen YouTube channel, you'll also find loads of WidgetLocker lockscreen tutorials.

yes easily just root the phone by the methods shown in xda and it will be unlocked easily

Would you like yo share how was your experience? What you liked and what you didn't? Any feature recommendations? It's my first app. With only 2 months of experience in coding. So, I'm a bit nervous how it performs for users and how do they like it! I'm glad that it loads the weather faster than Microsoft weather app though! Esp on lower end devices. I must say I am quite satisfied with my app. I never got to test my app with other apps (I have MSN weather and Acuuweather just to test my app against), as it was a very hot summer where I live and every app would show similar temperature reading sans the difference of 1-2 degrees. Sky would be clear with a few coulds at the most! But yesterday was something else. I and one my friend had plans to go over to my another friend's home yesterday evening. And as usual, my app gave me a toast notification, saying it would rain in the evening. So, I checked both the apps, MSN weather and Accuweather too and surprisingly they showed clear sky and at the most it would go cloudy. But my app was showing, light rain/ moderate rain/ thunderstorm throughout the night. I chose to believe in my own app, and took umbrella, raincoat with me. And boy, it rained.. Followed by a thunderstorm. So much that we had to spend the whole night there at friend's home! Had I not believed, I would have catched cold or fever today!
