When ever i try to install arc rom or Bitsnacker.Honeycombarc.
It says:

I don't know what thats means.
I have fixed that problem,but i like to know that i have install one rom like Eclair Bitsnacker.com v2.6,How can i install arc rom do i have to flash my x10 again or i can just install it via xrecovery.
Google amend to edify converter, remember seeing it somewhere in android.modaco.com
Xrecovery 1.0 does not support amend scripting which was used to pack the Roms
Either use the converter or use the previous xrecovery

Hey, sry for intruding to this thread, but i got same problem. I installed xrecovery 1.0 on my freex10b4 and i cant install my favoured theme or anything now through xrecovery.
Is there any way to downgrade xrecovery back to 0.3 without breaking my system and how should i do this? Any help is really welcomed.
And i tried to convert my theme zip file with MoDaCo converter, doesnt give me error message, but doesnt apply theme too.

I have been having some issues with my phone since I updated the rom from one of the FROYO ones to the honeycomb beta rom. Anyways I was not smart and I made ZERO backups what so ever on my phone.. I am getting a message saying this every time I try to update the rom or kernel.
Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages. Installation aborted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Oh and also, when I move .zip files from computer to phone, why is it that the recovery cant find the .zip file or simply isnt showing the file (this isnt the case with all .zips, just a few)...
Hi, I'm Newb here.
I tried and search before posting, I just don't get it.
XRecovery gives error E:can't open "***.zip" (bad) That kind of thing
happens with every zip then it make the zip archive corrupt.
are you sure? with every zip file? Try redownloading the zip files

Are you using xrecovery 1.0.0? Many zips still use the old "amend" style scripting, but xrecovery 1.0.0 only supports the new "edify" scripting style. Xrecovery 0.3 and below support "amend" so you could try your zips with 0.3 and hope for the best
Failing that, it might be a corrupt zip, try redownloading it.

if you have 2.3.3 rom , use xRecovery 0.3 GB Ready
When im at Xrecovery and got rom files in my sdcard and trying to install it, yes I know how to install roms. But now it says error, whats wrong with my phone now?

bb is .67 and its official SE rom 2.1.. and phone is rooted, busybox installed and xrecovery installed too. Backuppin and restoring works.
Works now. Unistalled 1.00 xrecovery and installed 0.3 xrecovery and now works zips.
Why there in xrecovery topic isn't download link for 0.3? I found download link with a google..
Well I guess you are using xrecovery 1.0, try revert back to 0.3.

I am on the HK GB Firmware, Rooted & unlocked...
When I try to flash a file on my Atrix through recovery, I get the following message...

It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the Clockwork Mod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.

Does any one here have any tips as to how I can fix this issue? I'd like to install some stuff via recovery, but this is stopping me.

you have to use .zips that use the EDIFY update script protocol. there are some converters out there, but ultimately it's up to whoever wrote the update script in the ZIPs you're using.

Any ideas how to fix this?
If you made a backup of your root folder on another ROM, rename the current Update.zip to Update.bak. Then copy Update.zip from your backup to your root folder. Then try again.
Quick question, are you on CM7 or miui? Because if so, you need to Odin back to jfd.
If you're on a Samsung based gb rom, you can Odin a 2.2 voodoo kernel, and then flash your team toxic rom. But right now, you H*HAVE* to fins a way of your current gb rom.
