Thats just not posible, the hardware doesnt support it.
i had requested some devs to look into usb-host thing...
its kernel related and can be worked out but will need time...
hopefully you'll make it work!
That's the only thing which is better on my nokia c7
I saw somewhere that someone got usb host working with the x10, but you needed a powered usb hub for it to work, as the x10 doesn't power its usb port. I can't remember the thread though.

Hey all was wondering how to route this phone also I am extremely new at this android stuff since I just got this phone last week, but would love to know more about routing also I can't find my phone in the search is there a reason for that
Sent from my SCH-M828C using XDA App
The first learning part: its rooting in stead of routing... search for rooting in this forum and you'll see! The most used way to root your phone is using superoneclick. Search and find.
Wow appreciate it.

Download super one click..
Make sure USB debugging is on
Make sure G3 driver is installed on your PC
Connect phone via USB
Open super one click
Click on root
Wait for a bit
Phone would reboot
Done

Alternatively, I used Z4Root as I prefer on-device rooting - I know it works on UK Android 2.1 firmware, and the phone is listed as compatible on their forum thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953).

So Im about to order nexus7, but the storage capacity bothers me a bit. Would it be possible to use this cable for example: (it doesnt let me post a link but... search "SANOXY USB 2.0 Female to Micro USB Male OTG(On-The-Go) Cable Adapter" on AMAZON.com)
to plug my usb flash drive into nexus7 or any other android device with micro usb. Would it work? is there any file explorer that could detect that drive and work with it normaly?
I think it would be a perfect solution for that limited storage.

Yes it will work. Its called USB OTG. You will however need to be rooted and install an app from the market (can't remember what its called). There's a really good guide on it in the nexus 7 section.

Yeah not all devices support the feature that's why you have to root the nexus. If it didn't work at all what would be the reason for the USB to micro USB wire? Anyways I hear what your saying

According to your signature you're in the wrong forum.
This is for the international i9300/i9300T
Easy UMS does not work on the kernels for the US-version since they don't include a necessary module.

You could use Wifi-based apps such as Samba Fileshare. It's easier to use since you don't actually have to plug the phone in the computer.

Yep. It's probably not that hard to implement but not being a kernel hackers myself I honestly don't know (I always need at least 2-3 attempts to even compile a configured/patched kernel right for my freaking servers... I'm wondering when the data center techniciens are gonna get annoyed at my requests for a KVM/IP every other day on the test server *g*)

On GB or ICS/JB? On neither do I see issues.

Gb roms are very well built. We don't have them for ics / jb because they were never given to us.

Hey guys!
I'm starting a new thread because I been wondering if any Xda developers have found a solution for the new update jellybean 4.3. I been searching day and night to see if any one as successfully found a solution for this product problem. If anyone knows any method on unlocking the bootloader will be helpful. I seen Adam and he's XDA teams been working on some projects but I'm not sure if it's for the I605 ver. 4.3 note2.
you can pay 75 dollars to mobiletech for them to downgrade it for you. The remove the emmc chip and reflash it.... I might be testing a method soon but it seems kinda risky. You have to short a small resistor.
Can you elaborate on the resistor part?

roflcoptersoisoi- just an idea.... do you think it might work if you put your sd card in another phone and then hook that phone into your computer to connect it as a usb mass storage device? Maybe that would let you access the external sd card through the computer and use win32diskimager to write the image to the external sd card.

So win32diskimager would not recognize the sd card when you had the phone connected your computer? Darn. I was hoping that might work. Oh well, at least it was worth a try. Your bootloader is locked but there is a work around on xda where you can run your rom virtually and still keep stock rom just be careful about how you do this because you might brick your phone
