1/ I do not understand what does "cannot remove her" mean really.
2/ Why would you flash your ROM again? ROM is not on SD card.
- Copy the stuff over to PC via USB
- Stick new card in
- Copy the stuff back

I can not take her out from mobile phone. It seems to be stucked

Well, being extremely clumsy is not really something we could solve here, sorry. Move the metal slider up, flip, remove the card. It cannot be stuck anywhere, that is just physically impossible.

Need some phone help

I have a rooted thunderbolt running bamf and i found the font settings in the toolkit and i thought wow this would be cool to change fonts, so i picked out one that i liked and it said has to reboot to apply so i clicked reboot and now my phone is stuck on the htc screen when you initially boot.. the only thing i did was pick a font..
.. i tried to get into bootloader but it wont let me pick any options to reboot it just goes to a update and wont let me pick any option..
i did have a backup in clockwork made but i dont know how to get into it since i cant even get the phone on
need some help guys..
Well if it is trying to update while in HBoot that means you have an existing PG015img.zip on your phone (probably a radio that you flashed awhile ago). This is a big mistake to have not deleted this file. Always delete a PG015img.zip after using it (or renaming it)
The only thing I can suggest is if you have a friend with another smartphone, put your SD card in their phone, and delete that file.
Or if you have a micro sd card reader for your computer, use that to delete the file.
With that file on your SD card, you won't be able to boot into your bootloader, because it will automatically flash a PG015img.zip

?? Don't put the radio back on there. Once you flash a radio, its done, its on your phone. The only time you should have a radio on your SD card is when you need to actually put a different one on your phone. You phone does not run off of radio on your SD card
I agree...the one time I forgot to delete the radio image off my SD after an update...I had my phone get caught in hboot trying to update again while at work. I had to borrow a friends micro SD reader to pull the file before I could resolve my issues. Would have been much easier if I had deleted it when I was done.

Yeah thats exactly what i had to do too, it freaked me out becuase i couldnt use any of the options in the menu and it kept just jumping to the updates
but its all good now.. kinda crazy how the phone bricked because of a font selection, i wont ever touch that option again though.
If you have a back up from clockworkmod try using adb... type adb reboot recovery in command prompt while your phone is connected to your computer, and once you get into clockworkmod recovery restore your back up. I had a problem with my lockscreen, I also didn't delete my radio, and this worked for me.

It didn't brick. It just froze.
If it bricks you will know it.
As for the radio, keep it on your SD. That way if you need to change it, its there. Just rename it.
For example: "MR2-PG05IMG.zip"

That's exactly what I do, and what I suggest in my q AND a thread. Also, after it's there on your root and renamed, CHECK the MD5!

Installing Custom ROM help

Noob here again
So I want to install Shoshock's ICS ROM. Just to be sure on the steps:
Place on SD card (how do I do this exactly?)
Wipe data via CWM (do I need to do this if I'm on stock rooted 2.3.6?)
Navigate to location on SD card and install

If you don't even know how to put the file onto your phone, I'd suggest you not to mess with your phone.
But if you must.... I'd suggest you read a ton more about it before going any further.
There are plenty of ways to put a file onto your phone.
You do this in recovery (read about this)
Same as above (read about this)
Read more, thanks.
Well, I know how to do this by just drag and drop, but I think I read somewhere that there's a specific way to move it onto the phone?
Do I need to wipe if I'm coming from stock rooted?

No there's no special way....
And what do you think?

Like the other guys said, you should definitely read more before you try doing this. Take a look at the first page of the ROM's thread. It tells you specifically that you have to wipe if you're coming from another ROM.
After you get the ROM .zip on your internal SD (there are several ways to do this), just install it via CWM like any other ROM.

Connect to device in download mode

Hello Guys,
i just tried to install ICS. I did everything right, the big problem was, i moved the CWM backup to my pc ... i don´t know why :-/
I formated my device and tried to install the ROM. The next problem is, it doesn´t install. Everytimes I start the install process, it shows up an error "Status 7" in CWM.
Now i´m not able to backup my device, can´t connect to it via USB and can´t install ICS.
Is there any chance to repair my GS2? Is there any tool that is able to connect to it´s USB storage in download mode? I mean, Odin is able to connect and write data, why no other tool?
Thank you alot!
GR
Are you able to boot still in cwm recovery?
If yes, then copy youre backup on a sd card and try to recover it.
Which version of ICS you wanted to flash?
Status 7 usually means you're trying to flash something meant for another device.
Yes i´m still able to boot in CWM.
The problem is... I don´t have a MicroSD. And i don´t have a card reader, too...
It was this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574718
(ICS 4.0.4)
Damn ... is there no other way? Isn´t it possible to connect in download mode? :-/
Thanks!

Let's start with the basics. What model phone do you have? (label under battery) Because that link is for an i777 ROM, and this thread is currently in the i9100 forums.
Then try to borrow a MicroSD Card and a card reader from someone.
I think it's the easiest way.
I´m currently waiting for my MicroSD, i bought yesterday.
Before i´ll download a original firmware, i try to backup.
My model is the i9100, unbranded. Damn... it´s mentioned nowhere, is it?
Do you know any ICS (as stable as possible) for i9100?
Thank you guys

What's "mentioned nowhere"? That the ROM you installed is for the i777? Sure it is. By sheer fact that the ROM is actually in the i777 forums, and NOT in the i9100 forums.
EDIT: whoops, accidentally thanked your first post.
Arr, the only place i didn´t look...
indifferent, i´ll try to backup and then look for a 9100-Rom.
Hello again.
I just got my SD card. I packed the backup in "ClockworkMod\", but i think this is the wrong folder.
Also i tried to use this ICS Version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1530179
Short time after installation start, there comes a message "getprop("ro.product.device") == "galaxys2" || ... (various other name-variants of galaxy s2. And last but not least "(Status 7)" ...
What´s the problem? It´s a GSII Version of ICS... why comes this message?
Thanks

Since you tried to install an i777 ROM, your build.prop may have the model specified for that phone instead now, instead of for the i9100. Check that.
If I'm right, you can either fix that yourself if you have root, or re-flash a stock i9100 firmware first.
Damn :-/ Yes my phone is rooted. But what helps me this? My phone is bricked at the moment. The only access is the external SD...
Can i also fix it by appling a backup? Where do i have to place the backup so CWM detects it?

Can you reboot to recovery, plug it into your computer via usb, and start an adb shell? If so, you can try pulling build.prop to your computer, editing it, and pushing it back.

Yes, this may also work. You can put it in your external SD under clockworkmod/backup, but you'll have to mount your external SD when in recovery mode before it will be visible.
I put the folder "2012-04-01.20.34.24" into "\Clockwordmod\backup\2012...".
In Recovery Mode i don´t have to mount the sd card. Its already mounted.
But always i select "Restore" it shows "No files found." :-/

A workaround worth a try do a nandroid backup then locate the CWM backup folder and copy your old backup in that .
jje
Or, mount usb storage in recovery, and that will give you access to your internal sd. Then you can copy the back up to /clockworkmod/backup, and it will see it.
How should this work? http://code.google.com/p/android-roms/wiki/NANDROID_Backup "Alt + B"? Since when has a handy such keys...? Or misunderstood I this?
I just updated CWM to 4.0.0.15. But it doesn´t find the backup :-/ (yes i mounted the external sd, if this was "exmc" ...)

Extract a stock ROM of your device, and replace the void.fstab on your device with the one in the zip.

[SOLVED] [Q] Possible Soft Bricked Note

Hello all, I am looking for a little advice. I'll give as much backstory as possible:
I used the cyanogenmod one click installer, everything went well. Since the one click installer put twrp on I went and put clockworkmod on since im more familure with it. Everything fine restarted and phone worked however after I installed (attempted to install facebook messeger) the device rebooted and would not come back on. Sat for 5 mins vibrating over and over and over. Its not completely dead I am able to get to recovery and to download mode and believe I just had a bad download/install. Since i have Clockworkmod on here, I am thinking I could just install the most up to date stable rom available but I have a question:
How do I put the rom zip files on phone if phone wont come on.
Any advice towards this would be appreciated.
First off, where did you find a cyanogenmod one click installer? Possibly that was not meant for the I717.
Don't you have an external micro sd card? Place the card in your computer and copy the ROM zip to it. Put it back in your phone and use it to flash.

Sure thank you for the reply, from beta . download . cyanogenmod . org /install apparently it detects your phones version and does everything for you really, no option to pick your model/version # it auto detects. sorry for spaces it wouldnt let me post link complete.
And I did not know I could put the zips on external SD I had though only internal SD is option for where to put roms
