Morning guys, while viewing the system specs of my handset in Quadrant, I noticed a magnetic field sensor. It's this the NFC component?!

Sorry mate. My Desire has a magnetic field sensor. It allows the phone to basically act as a metal detector, amongst many more useful usages.
Sorry mate but a quick run on google comes up with it being the " Asahi Kasei AK8975 3-axis magnetometer".
Also get the same sensor showing on an unbranded uk SGSII as well.
It's the compass!

I got this one and it works perfectly.

interesting, how big is this? I don't see dimensions on their site. I have an Azio that's the perfect size footprint-wise except i wish it was thinner.
It's not a nomad one, quite big & heavy (about 2kilograms) because designed for htpc home/sofa use but I also carry it along my laptop.
About 30cmx19cmx3cm. Quality all in one product.

What are the dimensions? And how practical is it to do word processing/programming on the go with this keyboard?
Thanks!

Hi, I'm using SGS2, and it has really bad touch sensitivity when charging.
I have pics to describe it.

Also, sometimes touch screen dies, and I can't even scroll the screen.
What can I do to improve touch screen sensitivity when charging?
p.s I'm using XWLPG firmware and Siyah Kernel

A faulty charger can do this. Try another cable and socket.

Oh, I think the socket is the problem.
I didn't know socket also effects the touch screen. Thanks

Is my digitizer fried? Should I go to Sprint? I don't have insurance and I was planning on replacing my phone by August
Thanks
Yes, unfortunately it's a fairly common problem.

It looks like its physically bend around the kickstand. I guess its time for a new phone
I got tired of my G Watch laying flat while charging, so I made this stand for my watch and my phone.
The phone is charged via Qi

Sweet setup!!! You did a great job
Awesome! I would do that too if I didn't have a metal closed loop band... I actually just made this stand for $6.99 from eBay. A Braketron Nanotek with a slit cut out for the band
Nice mod!
Never thought about a metal band option

Looks awsome. What about an additional mod with light so you can see it in the dark?
