Hi, I'm using SGS2, and it has really bad touch sensitivity when charging.
I have pics to describe it.

Also, sometimes touch screen dies, and I can't even scroll the screen.
What can I do to improve touch screen sensitivity when charging?
p.s I'm using XWLPG firmware and Siyah Kernel

A faulty charger can do this. Try another cable and socket.

Oh, I think the socket is the problem.
I didn't know socket also effects the touch screen. Thanks

Morning guys, while viewing the system specs of my handset in Quadrant, I noticed a magnetic field sensor. It's this the NFC component?!

Sorry mate. My Desire has a magnetic field sensor. It allows the phone to basically act as a metal detector, amongst many more useful usages.
Sorry mate but a quick run on google comes up with it being the " Asahi Kasei AK8975 3-axis magnetometer".
Also get the same sensor showing on an unbranded uk SGSII as well.
It's the compass!
Hello,
while the back button is exactly on its icon, but menu button isn't. most of the time I'm touching the right side of the menu button so it does not respond. is this a feature? I'm holding the phone with my left hand. My English is so poor sorry if you don't understand properly. Like this:

Thats a hardware problem, i would take it back. Mine isnt like that and i doubt it being a software issue.

How many more problems can my sgs2 have.. Looks like I'm gonna live with it since my device does not covered by international warranty.
The touchscreen works, but this is what everything looks like now.

Is it a goner? Salvageable? Time for a Nexus 7? Any insight would be much appreciated.
I think its time to move on, unless you have warranty which u obviously don't since you wanna salvage it ._.

This is what happens when your touchpad LCD is on LSD!

Checkout the iFixit app or website, it explains in detail how to repair it .
Open 'er up. At the least, you'll have a fun project for the weekend. If everything goes to hell, wait for the Kindle HDs to be reviewed and go from there.
Loose connection
Most likely the connection between the motherboard and the LCD has loosened. Take out the ribbon and put it back in.
Hey everyone,
Has anyone replaced the micro hdmi port on the prime? Any part numbers for another hdmi jack would be great.

I don't use mine that much but I have noticed that it can't take much stress before losing picture or audio. I'm just really careful when using it. Is yours completely dead?
As you can see in this x-ray picture of a Prime the HDMI port looks to be part of the mainboard. You got to have the proper equipment to de-solder/solder at this level.

And yes, those are STEREO Speakers in the bottom right corner. :good:
I can handle the soldering just wish I knew which type of Mico hdmi it is. Many different designs.

Could be wrong though.
I've never seen this before. One minute I was eating lunch and I came out and pulled my phone out of my pocket to see this

Is my digitizer fried? Should I go to Sprint? I don't have insurance and I was planning on replacing my phone by August
Thanks
Yes, unfortunately it's a fairly common problem.
