Can only do if you have a custom ROM
Settings -> CyanogenMod -> Performance -> CPU -> tick Undervolt Box, Restart

FAILED i have
anyway does it will then drain less battery than the stock one?

for more battery life on stock rom
you have to undervolt with a module (here in our devi forum's)
and the latest battery drain fix (is in our devi forum's,too)
for a noob my advice is:
use the how confing editor (devi forum^^)
because you have to mod your how confing
and you need ABD or a filemanager to copy you modules to the right folder
after that you have about 40% more battery life^^
if anyone want, i can make a zip file to flash throw xrecovery

You have froyocomb, not honeycomb. It's a difference. Froyo = smartphones; Honeycomb = tablets

And im awaiting ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich)... Hmm, wonder if ICS have been released yet.....

Hi,
Thanks for the collection of updates. I for one, have also experienced the rebooting bugs.
I think the undervolting of the phone makes it reboot. I have especially experienced the rebooting when the phone tries to reconnect to wifi after being idle for some time. Maybe it draws too much current for the idle condition to supply enough power, and therefore reboots the phone?
Regards,
mfas

use abhi's or v2 .zip and let me know if it works for you.
will do some more experiments and update if required
Thank you for this compilation, just a few questions though, I want to clarify something..
1. Just want to ask if what I did was right: renamed zip file to update.zip and installed via xrec, correct?
2. How can I test all modules if it worked?
Thanks and regards,

1. UV- battery life increases
2. MDDI lag... its hardly noticable
3. MT- download multi touch visualizer from market and test it
4. OC- install set cpu and check the max n min freq...
Thanks satchith, I'll test it on the ff days..
Though when I tried Quadrant Advanced, back then my average was between 900-1000, now its 1100-1200..

how to get the UV mod for Wolf's rom to improve battery

Hi,
Can anyone tell how to get the UV mod for wolf's rom so as to improve the battery ?
I actually want to move back to the original rom but I want to give UV a try and then I will see if it works fine or not.
Will it be possible to remove the UV mod afterwards?
Here is what I did, I was on WB 4.0.3 with the custom kernel, I flashed the Back to Stock kernel fix:
http://www.mediafire.com/?zisvece37mbicec
and then the Undervolt patch:
http://www.mediafire.com/?amq979la9fvie7b
Seems to be working really well, great battery life!
Hope this helps, Just make sure you bakup first!
Hi,
the latest WB rom with custom kernel already has UV included.
Ralf
It may have been included, but the battery life sucked! I find it is much better with Stock kernel and the Undervolt patch

I am on wolf 4.0.3 and the battery life is terrible... only lasts 5-6 hours for me if in use..
I am now thinking to repair the phone and go to the original software ... anyone know where to get the xloud and bravia addon for stock 2.3.3 ??
Did you go back to the Stock kernel and apply the undervolt patch? It is worth trying!

you all can add this by yourself to your stock rooted 2.1 rom.
but you wont have any multitouch with your e10i : only a pinch2zoom way
read x8 forum for OC,UV and pinch2zoom
and please, do not post this kind of request in dev forums ... (general and Q&A are made for that )
the original 2.1 update 1 is more stable and performance...
but i cant create a rom.. im not a expert

are you using xrecovery or CWM ?
you just need to add the needed modules to make nearly all you want to work
just follow what the dev said for installation of each module

direct link to the file
note that OC module contains UV module
pinchzoom :

nearly no lags for 2D :

keyboard bugs are really smalls with some practice you just don't notice them
and using a gingerbread rom with a custom kernel is the best way to prove that SE left us, but that we (xda devs, testers, users, ...) bypassed all this and make something they never imagined to happen
you may find some stock rom collection in the forum if you really want to flash it back
and some xrecovery zips (not cwm sorry) with features ready to be flashed
==> somewhere in threads of ... march and may i think

Also stock rom is really, really slow. Just today i tried Linpack test and in stock I got around 2.5~ 3 MFlops score but on MiniCM 2.0.6 I am getting 7.7 = >150% performance boost!
nah, on daily use the stock rom is the best

does it have some kind of side effect when we clock the phone until 1.6 Ghz??
i've flashed this kernel...it is good that the game run smoother with it...
but then i feel like this is like too fast until the animation seems to be a bit weird...
didn't check yet for the battery drain...
i've used the sirkay kernel and it saved me a lot of battery time...

it depends. sometime your phone will start warm bcos your engine running beyond its normal speed. all machine have their own capabilities.
for me, normally will set speed between 1.2ghz to 1.4ghz. but i prefer 1.2ghz, dont wana force it to much
btw, its not my kernel. i added some script into ramdisk and compiled with other(s) kernel. thats all
unlocked bootloader is a must right?

let it drain till it turns itself off
charge to 100%, preferably with the wall-charger
boot into recovery and wipe batterystats from the advanced menu
something like that
Or you can use Battery Calibrate apk, that is on market.
It is better to use wiping battery stats for 3 - 5 times of full charges/discharges.

why not go with custom roms since you (will) have custom kernel? i think there is no kernel with made for stock that you can use oc. ive seen apk who can do governor but not oc.
