(suppose you backed up prior installing the update.zip)

It's an animation when you turn off the screen. It looks like whenever you turn off a CRT tv (the big ones, not sure if the newer flat screens do it too).
Was pleasantly surprised when I saw it after installing CM7
Ok, I'd done flashed JB3crt-animation.zip via recovery taken from above.
But nothing change or any special about it. Look the same to me?
Do you have a screen shot of it how it look like??

I just flashed it on clockwork mod and i tried it out and it isnt closing or showing the animation at all

enable it through cm options, set your brightness level not too low and you'll see it

You need to have animations ON under the display settings otherwise you won't see it.
Can I use this also for the htc desire?

It will not work since stock 2.3 and Cm10 aka 4.1.2 is too much different. In 2ndboot quarx nightlies it enabled by default.
is it the same as 2.3 'S?

Is the output applicable for any ROM ? Damn, only HTC Legend build 26 or 29 ROM.
For any other ROM we need to provide the site with the framework-res.apk file from our ROM (I am using Azure).
So? You upload your framework-res.apk and download updated one...

I was under the impression it was a case of extracting it with some ugly command line work (which is fine, though as I've just moved to OSX, terminal syntax is all new to me, as is Android dev in general)

Is there a reason whenever I flash this MOD onto my EVO it always has a roaming indicator on? I flashed the latest CM6 nightly and it didn't say that. I flashed the ROM, it did. I nandroid'd back, it went away. I flashed the .zip with the boot animation and it came back.
Anyone else having this issue or an idea how to get rid of it?

This is a full gingerbread theme from the Wildfire forums(ads. Sympnotic).
I have just signed the Zip another time because it did not work for me. It is made for CM6.1 and is just tested on SPQ-ROM 0.7.

Did not work for me on nFinityRom 1.14. Device didn't start up anymore after flashing.

With nFinityRom 1.14, that has 6.1.1, phone gets stuck on a boot loop.
With 1.13 that has CM6.1 it works fine.

I can't install it. I get an error:

Well, it works for me, which means that it is compatible. If it doesn't work for you - I guess you are doing something wrong. Make sure you are trying to apply the right theme version on a right ROM version (1.15). I guess it won't work on 1.13. The zip file from the first post of this topic won't work

Tried it the second time with clockworkmod recovery and it worked! I did everything the same as the first time so I don't know why it didn't work on the first try.

You must have flashed the wrong package at the first time, their names are so similar
I modded files for HTC TatFroyoSense v0.4 in the same way i modded WildpuzzleROM for Wildfire
It may or may not work, it may also work on other roms...
flash it like an rom, but dont wipe before.

Android 1.6 doesn't support live wallpapers at all.
I tried to add livewallapper and menu does pops up with selection, but no livewallpaper's load as the Tattoo has no EGL support for it.
for me it works in your rom there even is starfield included i flashed you rom and the the zip and had an live wallpaper in sense so why not?

No it will not wipe your apps and stuff and yes flash it as you would flash a rom in clockworkmod recovery I also have a version with crt effect without pixelated effect but that disables blur when accessing the power menu.

Hm, could you post ONLY the CRT mode, without the %battery? If the missing blur on the power menu is the only downside, I'd like to have it
