Hey guys,
I hope you can help me.
Today I flashed the boot.img and wifi.ko of FreeKernel mod 3.50 and got a lot of WLODs and restarts. Before I was on mod 3.47 which was super stable.
Then I put the boot.img and wifi.ko from mod3.47 back, now it doesn't WLOD anymore but reboots quite often.
How can I fix it? Can't restore my xRec backup of "system" with FreeXperia Recovery and don't want to reflash.
What to do?
Thanks
Fixed it by restoring the system partition from an older backup and installing kernel mod3.47 again.
Hopefully my X10 is stable again.
Thread can be closed.
It didn't fix it.
Why isn't it stable anymore?
I used the kernel for 1 week without problems and now it doesn't work stable anymore.
Did I mess up my X10/CPU with overclocking it to 1.113GHz?
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Now I used a system backup from a 100% stable configuration without any custom kernel and restored "system", but it still reboots sometimes.
Has my X10 the motherboard problem?
Worked almost 8 months perfectly.

Hi all...
I just got my first Android phone... is an X10i...
I have version 2.1-update1 on it, and i tried 2 custom roms (2.2) with the install from SDcard.
After installing first rom (Froyo_2.2.1_xperia_TripNRaVeR-v1.0.zip) the result you can see it here: 220.ro/documentare/MOV01113/AVtgAccdjh/
After this, i instaled the 2nd rom (FreeX10-beta4.zip + gapps_FreeX10.zip); the result was: it work perfectly but after 30 seconds it was rebooting. it never stops.. the phone start again, and after 30 seconds , again reboot... and so on.
I must mention that the phone is SIM locked, and to work in my network i must unlock it... can this be a problem? if not can any one help me to fix this?
Or can anyone tell me where to find a custom rom that can be flashed with x10flasher? because when i install the rom from SDcard, is loading normally untill 50%, but when it reach 50%, he instantly go to 100%
Some info about my phone:
model: x10i
firmware: 2.1-update1
baseband: 2.1.54
kernel: 2.6.29
Can anyone tell me what is the problem and advice me what to do?
Thanks in advance.

For now you can only flash stock 2.1 roms using the flashtool, everything else you have to use xrecovery.
As far as your phone being sim locked, I really don't think that's related to any of the issues you've mentioned.
Here's what I suggest:
- use the flashtool to flash it back to stock 2.1
- root
- install xrecovery
- try Wolfbreak's custom 2.2 rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945264
the instructions on the first post are kinda confusing but let me know if you have any other questions. Make sure to use the thanks button if any of this helps.
To install custom ROMs, your phone needs to be rooted and then install the ROMs via xrecovery.
Also for Trip's Froyo or Gingerbread ROM, it is preferable to on bb49..

thanks to both for fast answer...

@Lockon Stratos
this rom is working good, is only rom that installs properly and work without reboot, but SDcard is not working, and when i applyed the hotfix, it enter into a reboot loop
@regencyhood
i tried MIUI... same problem... reboot loop
***********************************
i tried again all roms that i have downloaded until now from here, but unsuccessfully
I do not understand why, but ROMs are not installed correctly (i have root and xrecovery installed, i made factory restore, wipe cache, format cache, wipe dalvik cache).
so i think i will stay on 2.1
I was very enthusiastic when i got it, but i see that is not such a great phone with no official update for 2.2, and is low on internal memory (only 465MB data memory and 280MB RAM).

Reason for Reboot on MIUI is because you are on baseband 54 (i.e 2.1.54)....
Recommended baseband is 49, either you flash and change your bb or you can apply a patch... all the necessary help regarding bb is given in the link in my above post...
hope i was helpful
So which one do you want to use trip's froyo or Z's froyo? I hate to say this but I have a feeling it's something you're doing in between installs that could be causing the problem. I say pick one that you want to use/test, flash back to stock 2.1 using je flashtool, root, install xrecovery then flash just one of the custom froyo roms using xrecovery.

Patch BB 54 or rollback BB 52

Yes, it will work.
Regarding the camera I am using "TripNMiUI FINAL 1.0.63" ROM, and the camera is working a-OK. (Pic and Vid included)
Zoom results in FC for me in the stock and MIUI camera app, because of which I use Vignette....

Hi guys. I got my X10 yesterday, but i got a few problems with it.
I used Miui but the battery drain was a bit to hard. So i switched to Wolfbreak-009. I want to install the undervolted DoomKernel-03-X too but if i do that the system stucks in the white Sony-Logo and reboots the whole time.
I have flashed like this:
Stock 2.1
Baseband-67
Wolfbreak-009
CustomKernelEnabler
bootloader_bypass_files_v04
Doom-03X
Doom-03XWifi
I think i have chouse the wrong order or anythink else?
after wolfbreak rom install free kernel 3.60 and forget all other you mentioned...
reboot phone....
phone off... enter xrecovery and flash with doom kernel
I will test it.
Thanks
So i tryed it. Flashing fresh Wolfrom-009->FreeKernel3.60->Reboot->Poweroff->DoomKernel0.3X->WLOD...
So this dosen't work ...
The undervolted 0.3X works perfekt on my last MIUI.
Well I installed this version and 13 As with the wifi does not work, goes on but just does not work online.
Would greatly appreciate any help, and what they tried eh posted but still the same: S. Thanks in advance
Sorry for my English, a translator.
It happened to me too in v13. I updated to the v14 version and fixed it. Don't forget install the Wlan.zip (4.42 MB) (New Wlan Modules) with CWM Recovery!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116
Hopefully, that fixes the problem, but don't get too excited
Tried reinstalling, wiping, new wlan modules hotfix etc etc, but the rom refuses to work properly with the wifi. I was able to use the web-browser by telling it which IP to go to, instead of www adresses, but still, the market function and other internet functions won't work.
If I were you, lojoko, I would go for GinTonic, earlier release of MiniCM7 rom or some other rom and wait for MiniCM7 to get fixed again. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon. Love that rom!
Had a really good hunt around for wifi fix. It seems some people get the "Error" when switching on wifi and then it sticks. Had to revert to GinTonic 2.0
i'm having the same issues with v19.
i switched to minicm7 because gingerdx was giving me the same trouble. i'm helpless. In fact i'm thinking about switching back to minicm6(froyo)... Gingerbread is not working for me.

hi,
had the same issue with v19 wifi not working.
then i found out that it worked when the rom v19 was fresh installed, but stopped working after restoring missed apps and all system data with TITANUM backup (backup made on V17)
hope this brings you further with your wifi problem.

I'm using fresh SE install from SEUS and wiping everything before installing MiniCM Pro v19. Still having the issues. I don't use any restoration option.
I was previously using MIUI latest ROM and NightElf kernel for stock (my mistake). Due to instability and lag I wanted to move to CM9. So today I downloaded mt11i BB72, NightElf kernel for fxp and latest (126) fxp ROM. First I installed the BB using flashtool, then installed the kernel using fastboot and at last installed the ROM via CWM. But after that I am unable to boot into OS. I can boot into recovery, but not into OS. The phone just reboots.
As recovery still loads, I think the device is not yet lost. Will anyone help me out please?
Flash the original .431 ftf using flashtool, then install new kernel and after that flash the CM9 rom.
It was, just that I was searching a shorter route. But it seems that the long way is to go. I am not even sure if Sony has released 4.0.4 with new baseband for my handset in India.
Another thing: did you wiped cache and dalvik cache? If no,wipe them and make a factory reset from cwm.

And about your problem in OP, if by "NightElf kernel for fxp" you mean on this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468043 you are using kernel for GB.
yes I have done all the wiping and resetting. I remembered that I had not mentioned those in the post after I had hit the post button.
Madfysh yes I was using that one. So, is that the error that is causing this bootloop? Can you provide link of a proper kernel for me?
This one?
OK solved
I installed the proper kernel and now device boots into OS. Thank you Madfysh for pointing out the error.
CM9 is so smooth!
Update: And now wifi does not work!
They just keep telling me to flash kernel in instructions [- new wifi init (if you dont flash kernel and wipe wifi will not work properly)], but sorry to be a noob: which kernel?
Found kernel: inside ROM zip. LoL. Madfysh you knew that?
Much ado about nothing. I kept weaving a tale of wrong kernels when the proper one was always there hiding inside the zip.
The problem started 4 days back when I switched on bluetooth to share a file and phone started restarting itself. I formatted the phone and reinstalled the rom and it started to work as usual with bluetooth too. But today this problem surfaced again and this time I don't want to format my phone. Any help would be truly appreciated.
ROM: Purness V5
Kernel: Kernel Panic 1.25
No other frills.

You will need to wipe all data again or flash the official ics .587 again from flashtool or try to delete or your paired list, will definitly fix your bug ( it worked for me and for many guys over the gsmarena community), or try to find any patch or script to fix it, sorry I can't help you with other suggestions those are the best, do you know that you can backup all your apps data by using carbon from the play store ( made by clockwork dev), it is amazing
SOLVED
Using MESA 3.5 as 3.8 is giving wifi problems.
