Hi All,
Something that stops me using these ROMS is the stock camera app.
I find that the camera does not produce as good results as Samsung camera application.
I have tried Viginette and wasn't too impressed.
Does anyone know if we will see Samsung cam app ported to these roms or is there a better alternative to use?

I don't think there will be a Samsung camera app port in those ROMs, because (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the Samsung camera app uses some Touchwiz stuff.
You could take a look here though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28173707#post28173707
It's a new project, AOSP camera with improvements. Tip: the guy takes requests
Samsung camera or equivalent on AOKP or CM9
Hi all,
Thanks a lot for this camera. I'm using the Omega AOKP V7 rom (CM10.1) on my S3, and although it has the same camera in it as this one, some bugs are now fixed. With the one in the omega rom I had a few (small) problems. The front camera got stuck after one photo, and although you selected SD card as storage, the internal (emulated) sd card was used anyway. All fixed with this version.
I have been checking some samsung threads and found out that the nice music player of s3 is now ported to work with galaxy note and galaxy s2. the player give some new features like square(playing according to mood).
just wondering if it can be ported to work on non-samsung phones like our razr. would really be great.
anyone interested?

Hi everyone maybe this is another dumb question but here it is:
I know through all my phones stock apps doesn't work with AOSP roms but if I'm asking this question it's because I've downloaded a MIUI and I was surprised to see the Samsung camera app and video player in it! So is it possible to make those apps work with CM10?
I know Samsung smart features are deeply integrated in the Touchwizz framework but obviously MIUI managed to make the camera and video player app work with there ROM.
Again even after my explanation my question is still dumb I'm sorry but I'd like an answer!

Hey
If it's the wrong section, sorry.
Okay, my question is, is somebody ready to port the TouchWiz 3.0 Launcher from the Galaxy S i900 to the Galaxy S2? I know that sounds stupid, but i like the simplicity of this Launcher. Believe me i tried everything to port it myself but i can't find any good tutorials how to port it. It was no problem for me to port iOS Apps to older iPhones. I even had Minecraft P.E Working on my iPhone 3G,.
I have all the framework/lib/app files from the SGS1..
Thanks

Samsung apps does not work on AOSP ROMs. You will have to use alternatives.

Do not tell, because why? And maybe there is some sort of video player animated preview app-like video list?
There are ups and downs to different types of roms.
TouchWiz: Laggy(yds), features u will miss when gg to aosp etc, camera, the apps by samsung
Aosp etc: Poor camera quality, the stock music player app is not good, however very fast and snappy, no lag at all.

on the lg p990 forum we had the same problems with cyano.
Someone ported part of the lg framework on AOSP and we were able to use the official lg's camera (extracted from ICS) on cm10, instead of the crappy aosp one.
No way we can do something similar with i9300?
sorry, but it's not about the pros cyanide, about samsung apps, frameworks and TouchWiz also have ports, so why not to port these two applications?
