Dude how did u do that!!
BTW
ext2 = extended filesystem version 2
+ = fast
-= not easy data recovery because it has no journaling
ext3=extended filesystem version 3=extended filesystem version 2 + journaling( this means filesystem keeps a log of all operations done on it..if something goes all it does is read the journal and the last operation)
+= safer,data doesnt corrupt easily,easy recovery
-=relatively slow compared to ext2
ext4= extended filesystem version 2 =super awesome ..Complete rewrite
+= has all the goodies u can think of !!!
-= none to say(i love reiserfs though ..its a pity that dev is in jail for killing his wife !!!)
SO stop asking same questions !!! flash AMONRA 2.2.1 and format with ext4...God !! same questions over and over again ...

Android uses this yaffs2 for internal memory except when internal memory is huge(as in costly phones)

Really? i mean i know its the best for 2.2....but its seems so sluggish on a 2.2.1....
If ext4 is sluggish for you then... I guess dont use it?
I'm not sure the ROM version has anything to do with the file system. Android is Linux based and ext4 is the most widely used Linux file system. For example, when I update Ubuntu it doesn't make changes to the file system or work any differently then it did with the previous version.
Hmm interesting. I guess i really dont know how different 2.2 and 2.2.1 truly is.

Done. Twice. Problem Still persists, although the partitioning was done by cwm 5.0.2.6, so imma try on the official one again
Yup, I have problems too with a2sd. My ext4 partition on SD corrupt and because ext4 inherited ext2 so fsck take a long time to recover.
I wish somebody add more fs support like jffs or another journaling fs that suitable to android.

You can use titanium backup to backup all your apps.
A2SDGUI stats are most of the time wrong so you don't have to bother.
then where i want to save the backup file? in sd card?
when i want setup pertition using rom manager warning massage come out
"wipe all data on your sdcard"
yes that will be save in sdcard then make a backup in your pc..you need titanium backup apk later..
doesn't you filesystem in ext4 yet?
i dont know what status of my sdcard yet....
did you mean this backup save all my picture and my mp3?
can i back up using samsung kies?

nope titanium bakup will backup your applications amd data..
your using CM7 by BehradGH? so it already has ext4 filesystem..

i wan to create swap to support my Ram....
you know how to do that?
so what are the highlighted items in your A2SDGUI first tab?
Are your applications already running in sd-ext?
1st : "apps are on sd!"
2nd : "Dalvik cache on internal memory"
i tried to move this to sd but system said not enought memory

Yes it is possible.
U said u wanted to kno how to partition sd? So here it is.
First, connect ur fone to pc(not kies) & copy ur pics, apk's, videos, mp3's ete...etc...
Den download Mini partition tool on your pc. Install it.
After u finished copying ur stuff on d pc, format ur sd card. Nw open mini partition tool & make partitions in ur sd.
1st partition should b fat32, 2nd Ext4. Both primary. Apply changes.
Finished.

The CPU is not exactly a very powerful one. Swapping will slow down overall performance just so you can enjoy an artificially inflated RAM. Not worth it.

hmmm i thought that system partition of SGP was too small for two systems to coexist.
It's virtually impossible.
also, this thread would fit in Q&A section or general discussion.
Couldn't you use your external SD Card assuming that you've got one big enough?
The external sdcard isn't the /system partition.
The ROMs each have a seperate /system and /data partition (at least on my O2X) so both of them combined might be too big for the partition.
Take a look here. Its the O2X thread on Dual Booting. I recommend reading it so you can understand the basics.

Thanks, I never new you could dual boot ROMs without an app like Boot Manager.
I have read somewhere and also experienced that performance of the phone decreases when we use link2sd... Is there a similar alternative cz I have loadss of apps and internal storage is not enough!
But the sudden lags even on apps stored on internal memory are dissapointing...
Thanks!

that should be in Q&A forum
and no there isn't ,Link2SD is the best i have experienced ,with overclocking there's no lag
dont use link2sd just use IN2EXT4+ here:

no apps needed. Just a kernel that supports ext4
Link2SD is more versatile and fast!

Link2SD is more versatile and is fast, Link2SD has a good graphical interface and works with ext2, ext3 and ext4 partitions formats, also, you have the choice not to move an app if your want and so on. It only makes slow when copying files to the SD Card there's no way around this as SD cards are normally slower that internal memory, you could buy a class 10 card or bigger for better performance.

no issues at all. Just flash it AFTER FLASHING ROM and set permissions of script to 755. Dont forget to wipe sd-ext after flashing the script
You can use Titanium Backup on ur rooted phone and can easily move apps to SD. No issues for me so far.
