Announce Call THEN Ring? - HTC Aria Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I apologize if this is anywhere else on here. I tried to search as best I could but nothing I found worked.
I know some Android phones have the 'Caller ID then Ring' setting for calls.
Is there any app/hack similar that can be used for the Aria? My issue is I want it to announce the caller FIRST, then proceed with the ringtone.
Thanks.

Streak Dialer

Question. On my friend's myTouch 4g, I noticed that when someone calls you, you have an option to send a text to that person.
I don't remember if it was only if you were already on another call or if it was for every call that came in.
Is that a function of tmobile network or is that something I can add to my Streak? It was one of the features that prompted me to try out the Andriod platform.
Searched for dialers but haven't found anything specific to this question.
Thanks.
Incoming Call Plus has that feature and is working well on DJS 1.7.0.

Phone calls - Number Pad Usage

I did a search and couldn't find anything. I don't frequent these boards either so if anyone has reported this problem, please direct me to the right post...
I am using Community Rom 1.3 with the Nitro Honeycomb 4.3 theme.
I am having a problem to where when I call a phone number that uses touch tones to select options. Example: Press 1 for English...etc. Pressing the number on the number pad does not do anything. I've tried normal and speaker mode.
Anyone else experiencing this problem or know of a fix?
Thank you!!
I know it worked when I had my old cell phone but I haven't used my Fascinate that way yet. I checked the Settings - Call Settings and found a setting for DTMF tones. Maybe it would help to set it to the Long option? Good luck!
Hey, I just Googled and found this:

Using the same setup, my keypad works just fine. The keys don't make any noise (I have touchtones turned off), but was able to make my selections without issue

Changing the DTMF to "Long" worked great! I should have thought of that. I really appreciate the reply.

[Q] Any way to improve voice dialing?

I can't seem to be able to get voice dialing to work with any consistency. Is this a known issue? And it's not because of an accent, either..
I'd like to be able to place calls through my Bluetooth speakerphone, but 9 out of 10 times, it calls the wrong number, and I have to scramble to hang up. I've pretty much given up on it, but wanted to check to see if I've missed something.
Thanks.

I use Vlingo
It's incredibly accurate and great for "In the car" tasks. Make sure to select car mode in the app and you can call/text/music/nav hands free.
I don't have enough posts to list the market link, so just search it.
Thanks very much for the suggestion. I've installed it and will test out today.

[Q] minor problem after answering calls

So here it is: I receive a call. The phone acts like it should. If I answer very quick I hear a robot from the future telling me to kill all the monkeyz from the mars(I know they are up there) or it just may be the other persons voice but with a robotic/fuzzy/50% downloaded video file/noisy/electric touch; the other persons hears me exactly the same. If I let it ring for 4-5 seconds everything is ok. I can live with this but I have to ask: does anyone else have this problem?
I've encountered it on 2.3.3,2.3.4, ICS and other custom roms.

[Q] Samsung mega ringing problems

My samsung mega doesn't ring only some time. If it doesn't ring the call will go to voice mail. If the caller hangs up before it goes to voice mail I never know I was called because it doesn't show a missed call in call log. I have read all I can find here and other places. However my problem isn't exactly same as I find. All sound is on and volume is up. I also know this since it does ring some time...
Now on the dialer pad on the # key there is a icon looks kinda like a speaker with a line through it. I can't remove it, what is it. Even though it is there the phone will still ring sometime.
From what I read I might have a software problem. Can I put the KIT-KAT on and perhaps solve the problem
Any help appreciated.
I posted this on the incorrect form a couple days with no answers. Probably because post was wrong forum.
