I've been looking for a solution that would offer an easier way to hold the TF with one hand and still allow full 360 rotation. I came across these two on Amazon and I was wondering if anyone here has tried them. Here's the quick pros & cons that I can see:

- "Officially" only supports ipad, ipad2, & Xoom. I did a comparison and while the TF is longer on one side, it's shorter on the other. So I jumped into my wayback machine (and google) to figure out the "hypotenuse" and it looks like the TF is ~20mm longer. From what *I* can see of the HeloStrap in the images it certainly looks like the elasticity could accommodate that extra 20mm.
- The part of the HeloStrap that your hand fits into doesn't look as comfortable as the Hand-e-holder. Actually, that was the only con mentioned for it on the Amazon reviews - that it could be a tad more comfortable. But it also wasn't bad enough for folks to warrant it any less than 4 stars.

I put in an order for the HeloStrap (black) because I like that I can pop it on and off easily - with or without my TF in the sleeve. I'll post back here when it shows up and let folks know how it works out.
I'd still like to hear from anyone else that's tried one of these - OR that has found another option that allows for the 360 rotation.

Ya thing so?? Why? The HeloStrap seems to hold fine on the iPads - and it will be a bit more snug on the TF.
Even on the other one, the adhesive seems pretty tight.
I'm not going to be doing any BMXing with it - I'm just looking for easier one-handed holding while couch surfing and swyping with the other..
Unfortunately neither one was Amazon Prime so it may take a several days to get here. Hopefully before the weekend though and I'll be sure to report back!
Never even knew anything like these existed. Of the two I like the HeloStrap more... really tempted to buy one, but I've wasted too much money lately so ill wait for a review.

What? You'd likely shatter your pad doing that no matter what.
I went a similar but slightly different route with the Padlette (padlette.com) which I bought off of Amazon. It's not as fancy as the other options, but it's pretty heavy duty and I have little to no fear about it breaking or slipping off. You can either hold it in one hand or you can slip you hand in behind.
In either case, an option worth looking at.
How comfortable is the padlette on your hand? Does it feel tight after an hour or two holding the Transformer? Is it equally comfortable in portrait and landscape? Also, how is the fit on the tablet?
Also, a question about the Helo, Do the straps at the corners mark/scratch the tablet trim or screen?
Excellent FIND...and I think I am tending towards ordering one too....
I will do more research as well and keep you'al updated...

I find it very comfortable. I was participating in an event this weekend that required that I hold the pad for roughly four hours and I did so with no problems. You can either grab it with your fingers (my preferred method) by hooking them around the straps, or you can simply slide your hand in behind.
Because it's at the same angle in either portrait or landscape it's equally easy to hold it in either configuration. I also like that it's removable without leaving any evidence that it was there. The only (minor) problem I've seen is that I have to have it oriented in SW to NE because in the NW to SE direction it covers up the volume rocker.

Sorry for the delay in following-up. I wanted to put a short video up, but my Sony Vegas just hasn't been cooperating with me.
I received the HeloStrap last Thursday and finally had a chance to play with it last night.
Overall, I think it's great. I definitely agree with the 4/5 stars rating on Amazon. The only con being that the hand part of the strap could have been more comfortable. It's not horrible by any means. You just notice it when you first start using it, but then quickly forget about it.
It still looks like the Hand-e-holder would win in the comfort category, BUT - I prefer the HeloStrap because of the lower price and the fact that I can slip it on or off easily vs having to semi-permanently stick the Hand-e-holder on. If I didn't have the Asus sleeve for my TF that probably wouldn't be as much of a factor.
BTW, the HeloStrap gives a nice snug fit on the Transformer with or without the sleeve. It's snug, but not so tight that it would be a concern (this is what I wanted to show in the video). It definitely feels very secure - I don't see the TF "falling out" of it or anything.
It certainly made the couch surfing MUCH more enjoyable last night which was my primary goal!
If I didn't have the sleeve I would be much more tempted to try out the Hand-e-holder, but the HeloStrap is the one that gives me the option of using it easily with the sleeve or without. Now i just need to see if my wife can come up with some idea for making the hand part a lil cushier!
I'll take another crack and getting a video together and will post that as soon as I can.
I finally got around to shooting a quick video of the HeloStrap on my TF. Hopefully this will give you an idea of how it fits - with and without the sleeve.

Not sure, but given that it's a full sleeve/case made to fit the ipad, I don't think it would work for the TF. The dimensions are too different.
The HeloStrap just needs to stretch diagonally from one corner to another - whereas that sleeve360 would have to fit all 4 corners.
Let us know if you give it a shot though!
That extra tension on the corners of my Transformer would amplify the screen bleed issue I'm having by 200%. Looks cool though.

Know what - I think you can stick this to the outer part of your folio and use it. So that the TF remains pristine.
Even better - with the Techtree stand, you can create your own 360 degree rotating hand holder.
I was at Fry's today and decided to look at cases. They had none for the Asus but they had one for the Toshiba 10.1 Tablet. I did not have the EEE with me but I went ahead and got it. List was $59.99 but they matched online price so I got it for about $42. Here it is:

It does say TOSHIBA on it but that is also a good thing - if it said ASUS there would be a much bigger chance that it would get stolen.....

i bought a case for the Toshiba too from best buy, $40...lil different from yours but made for the same tablet...i am happy with it...it works just fine...excellent build quality too...no camera access without sum modifying but overall just wat i needed...

I really like that! been looking for a case which uses bumpers to hold the tablet. How well does it actually fit (is it slightly loose, too tight that it bends the clips slightly or just right?) and are the lengths good?
Any chance you could post pictures because I would really love to get this if it fits good!
I also forgot to ask if the holes for docking the keyboard are unobstructed?

Looking at the specs, the Toshiba is 6mm taller (in landscape mode). Do the clips hold the TF securely? Thanks.
I just received it...very disappointing.
Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I ordered this from Amazon thinking it would be a good fit. It was somewhat close, but it does not hold the TF securely. I could easily see the tablet sliding all the way out and hitting the floor if you were not paying attention. In fact, when in portrait mode the tab slides out on most of the angles. There are some fairly big gaps.
I have uploaded some pictures, so hopefully they will illustrate some of the issues.
It is also poorly put together. The tab that snaps in place was loose. I barely pulled on it and it came out somewhat such that now it is off angle and no longer lines up naturally to secure the tab.
On the plus side, it would leave openings for accessing anything you needed to and also folds down flat so you could just use it in your hands.
Bottom line, I am sending it back.
Hope this helps others who where/are interested.

Feel bad for you man, never understood the attraction with the clip type cases, those things are made of plastic, one involuntary quick movement and this thing could send the Tf flying. The wrap around cases are much better at overall protection.
It's not a big deal. I know that I am picky and was fairly sure I would be sending it back. I didn't have enough experience with these to even know about the clip type cases, so I am glad that I now know to avoid them in the future. I mostly just wanted to let the few people that had bumped this post know that the product was maybe not so good and provide the pictures that had been requested.
I actually like the clip style. I just wish there were options similar to those that the iPad has, where the back is basically a plastic shell that clips. My wife has a Targus case for her iPad2 that does this. Personal preference, I guess. I wouldn't be against a non-clip case if it was very well implemented. I picked up the Solo case from Staples as a temporary measure until some more options are available. Works OK, but I really don't like the corner-cover means of securing the tablet.

For some reason all the B&N official Nook cases are way thicker and bulkier than they need to be. Also most third-party cases I looked at were faux-leather with huge messy stitching as if they were part of a Frankenstein cosplay competition.
Being super picky about these sorts of things, I put off buying a NSTR case while obsessively trying to find one that was:
1. Slim (All these giants cases defeat the purpose of a tiny portable ereader)
2. Play-through (I can leave it on while using, ie not just a slip-cover I can lose)
3. Protective (Not soft)
Well, I've been looking high and low, reading all the Nook forums with no luck until recently when I finally found this case: (I can't post links yet, so just search on Amazon for "Nook touch fitfolio"

I saw it at Target for $29.99, but bought it on Amazon for just over $21. It looks like the price fluctuates a bit (it's $24.83 right now).
I got the black one, I got my wife the teal one. It also comes in purple.
wow, the blue one is really ugly. :-D looks like a lunch box. The grey one is nice.
I am using a cover bought from B&N, it is a bit thicker and larger but at least it protects my nook well from pressure and falls. That cover above seems to slim, I don't belive your nook would survive if it falls e.g. on the corner. Mine did several times.
Can you lock the front side of the cover to the back side (while reading)?

1. I've looked at each and every official B&N cases in detail and found all of them, frankly, to be really lacking in several areas. The Speck case has a much more secure attachment system as well a good shock absorption due to the material and the shape of the case. Also, as I mentioned, it is much more form fitting than any of the B&N cases.
2. Yes, you can lock the front cover to the back while reading.
I should have mine next week!
Based on your recommendation I ordered one, and I should have it next week. I will let you know how it works out.
Edit: I just exchanged my NSTR at B&N a couple of days ago as it had a cluster of stuck pixels. I had no problems, but the employee said that it could have been caused by something being pushed down on that screen at that point. This is why I decided to get a case, as I don't want it to happen again!

Edit: I reviewed the description & it DOES say the bungee is "two-way", so I am assuming it is designed to work that way - it just seemed a bit of a tight stretch. No biggie for me, as I don't think I would be attaching it any - folded back works fine.
Just received mine today. It really has a nice feel, and I think it will protect it well. Thanks for the recommendation!
P.S. The cover DOES fold back upon itself, but I wouldn't say exactly say it "locks" (rather, I would not want to, as it would overstretch the "bungee").

So the folded cover is not "fixed" in the folded position? Could you upload more photos?
Mine nook cover is magnetic and therefore folded front & back cover keeps together, moreover when bonded with magnetic clip.
I have bought aluminium case for my NST. It has 3 positions for reading. The NST clips inside so it wont fall out. It has a black padding inside and it seems to be thinner then all those folding leather ones. The disadvantage of this cover is -> when you open the cover and flip it at the back, so it flat ... it's kind of awkward to read it like that, because of the round shape. It just feels
Since this is one of my first posts in this forum, I can't put the LINK for the cover. but if you would go in UK Ebay and type in search : aluminium nook ... you should see it. it cost 12.99GBP.
But now with the "keayboard hack" ... I'm thinking about finding a way how to modify the cover for 10" tablets with keyboard so it can hold the NST. That's what kepps my mind busy at the moment.
I agree completely with the Speck case. I too do not see the need for B&N making such large covers for such a small device. The Speck cover is just barely bigger than the nook and is comfortable to hold with the cover folded back and secured. The nook snaps in and out of the cover very easily. If you fold the cover back and secure it, it stays level and has enough grip to not slide if you prop it against something to read. I would prefer a magnet or snap closure, but after several uses the bungee gets easier to fasten. Very satisfied with this cover.
I found the Specs cases at my local Target. Prices varied from $29.99 for the standard colored (blue, purple, green) cover to $34.99 for a black 'leather' version. They did not show up at the online Target.com site. Very nice. I may have to get one.
I have ordered Industriell Cover in Carbon with Lyra Light and Anti-Glare Film when bought my Nook. And right after my order came to me in B&N store appeared Silicone Covers and Stella Light. I`d rather bought them...
What I don`t like in my cover is the way Nook is mounted into it. Why not to fix the book with four of these latches. Another thing is the size, tried to find anything that adds less to the sizes of the Nook itself.
Also in this theme I saw Speck cover, if I knew of it earlier I`d mostly bought it. But now I don`t need two covers so... I use what I use...

I have the same case, and it's not that easy to hold. And trying to press the buttons on the left just makes the entire thing flip. Also, what changed between the Lyra Light and the Stella Light?
Have no problems holding it.
Don`t like how left buttons are pushed myself that`s on what I said about latches.
Stella looks just prettier then Lyra. Also Lyra just unbends when Nook is being shaked(while reading in bus or other transport)

I think that's the one I got: I would normally never buy a case made by the device manufacturer, but I picked this one up at Best Buy for (I think) $15: it's two stiff boards, just wider than the Nook Touch itself, with a hinge at the top, with a magnetic clasp that can also be used to hold the front and back cover together as a stand when they're folded backward. The whole thing is light, compact, and protective--and not any harder to read in the case than out of it (plus, if you need a reading light, it's easier to clip it to the cover than to the Nook itself). You can even charge the device without opening the cover, though you do have to move the clasp aside.
This case must be discontinued, though, because now I can't find it on either the B&N or the Best Buy site.
I didn't like any cases available for the nst. Till I made one. What do you guys think?

Good work, very cool. Did you use a book, or some sort of journal? I have been wanting to do something like this, but do not have any books that I am willing to cut up.

It was a blank journal that was 5.75x7in. It was tight fit but I managed.
I searched far and wide for a case for my STR and I thought about getting a Speck FitFolio until I saw one in person in Target. Seemed too flimsy. Anyway, after a long search I found Oberon covers. Solid drum dyed tooled leather, about 3/16" thick. Not cardboard covered by a thin strip of 'leather'. They come in many designs and colors and cost about $15 more than a high priced B&N cover, which is OK, because I think it will last a lifetime.
I do not work for, nor am I affiliated with Oberon Designs. I'm just a very satisfied customer.

with complete frsutration in no keyboard case looking to ever be made for my purchase of the top tablet at the time the Galaxy Pro i have ended my search and somewhat happy.
my first purchase after exhausting months of hoping and searching led me purchase the M-Edge Stealth which upon setting up was the most impressive 3rd party universal i had ever seen. i see no reason to go into all the details that had me loving this case because very quickly i discovered it had 1 flaw that completely killed it. one of the greatest features was t he magnet safe strap and the base was magnet as well and sadly this caused the Pro to go to sleep every time i would touch it. if you push it up in the holsters it was fine but touching it or moving it and it would slide down just a hair and that hair caused the magnets to put it to sleep. i spent some time since it was such a great case trying to make it work but with much sadness i had to return it.
my next purchase and what i am staying with is the Kensington Keyfolio Pro 2 and at this pricxe i can live with the few things i would change.
quick review:
- keyboard types nice and almost all the keys for Home , Settings, Volume, Web, Music, work and go to the app i desired. it also seems to autoconnect after casing it up and opening it back up again so functionaly it is very nice
- case sadly is not a nice leather feel like the M-Edge and although not bad it feels kinda like it might carck eventually like cheap fake leather can do but only time will tell
- it is in no way as thin as the M-Edge and much bulkier than he 11" laptop i would carry but not ridiculous to me
- it has large and small corners with velcro to allow to place it wherever on the back plate that holds it which is different put nice and allows some positioning to what you like. i will say though that i was going with the small angles anyway but the large were on it and one ripped as i tried to take it off and so i know now how to handle them.
- the Logitech or Zagg of my dreams would not have allowed me to take the keyboard out and place it where i like and i see the value in this now as well
- there is no camera hole on the back put it does state that you can cut it out and they thought of this but since i dont use the back camera for anything i dont mind
anyway hope this helps out another 10.1 like me that has been frustrated with no top of the line model available.

Moko has a keyboard case on Amazon. I bought their book cover case and it is very nice.

yeah i looked at one of those but what i dont like about it:
- the kickstand - this limits position placement where the Kensington allows from straight up with keyboard in case to almost flat and stays in any position between them
- the full edge holster - i like to see the tablet with minimum corners or preferably which only comes with ones made specifically for the tablet that it snaps into place with almost no edge
- the keyboard is large with the big palm area and it does not have all the Android specific keys to launch everything which allows me to rarely touch my screen
i am not saying it isnt nice but it wasnt what i was looking for and i doubt there is an option out there i didnt research. thanks for the info though and maybe its something others might like
Samsung has neglected the Tab Pro 10.1
Its these disappointing products that brought me to just buy a stand alone keyboard option. After almost a year of traveling around the country with my Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, throwing it in my backpack between classes, and carrying it around to camping trips and etc. I've decided that its a little too late to purchase a case or keyboard folio at this point.
Samsung really did their customers wrong by not producing a suitable keyboard/case for the galaxy tab pro 10.1. At the very list they could have worked with 3rd parties to produce these options.
For the last few weeks I have been using my Padfone X quite often. It has become a conversation piece. Most people get stunned when they see a phone that transforms into a tablet. Not too sure why the market is not flooded with devices equal to or similar to this but its a shame that ATT no longer offers this model. I have no regrets for this purchase.
I was put on recently about a huge blowout sale ATT had on the Incipio Folio cases now going for $10 on the ATT store. These folio cases normally ran for $70, and yet most of us cannot conjure purchasing a neoprene cover for such a price that does really nothing to protect the device and the phone other than give it a "more professional look".
The folio case has been going on strong so far, jumping right into it here are the pros and cons:

-The phone folio case has to be placed on with a special passive adhesive over the original padfone back cover, should you wish to remove it, you'll have to buy another one to place on if you do.
-Orientation is a bit difficult in panorama mode when wanting to keep the station upright, flap does not flip back 180 degrees, only 45 degrees. Its almost like youre forced to keep the padfone upright, despite the cameras placement which is not exactly upright friendly.
I am not gonna complain much because of two factors, its a folio case and I got it for $10 and it was the cheapest licensed folio available. Not too many accessories for the Padfone X, but if youre looking for a cheaper alternative to the ASUS branded folio, this is the way to go
I took a Dremel to mine and got the back cover to work with the keyboard. Obviously, this means the screen cover flap had to go. It's good enough to keep fingerprints off of the station when in laptop mode and still protects it from surface scratches. I went ahead and ordered a second $10 Incipio set to swap the station into in case I feel like leaving the keyboard at home.

I was put on recently about a huge blowout sale ATT had on the Incipio Folio cases now going for $10 on the ATT store. These folio cases normally ran for $70, and yet most of us cannot conjure purchasing a neoprene cover for such a price that does really nothing to protect the device and the phone other than give it a "more professional look".
The folio case has been going on strong so far, jumping right into it here are the pros and cons:

There's photos on the AT&T website, quite representative.
Also I don't think the tablet can detect when the folio flap is closed even for the official ASUS case, there's just no sensor (magnetic or proximity) in the tablet body.
I just received mine yesterday, also for $10 shipped. I agree 100% with all the observations.
So, I ended up with the official ASUS PadFone X Folio Bundle and thought I'd do a compare and contrast.
First off, I don't know why I didn't think of it before but it is obvious now that the ASUS Folio for the phone is an add-on (versus a back cover replacement) due to the added cost of adding NFC and PMA antennas/receivers, which are attached to the inside of the back cover.
Continuing on with the phone folio, the ASUS Folio replaces the original back cover. Interestingly enough, it must be specific to the PadFone X because it retains the AT&T logo. The front flap has an ASUS logo and a cutout for the earpiece, so that a phone call can continue with the cover closed.
In regards to the PadFone X Station folio, the ASUS Folio has cutouts on the front flap for the front-facing speakers. In addition, the sides are fully covered where the Incipio leaves the sides exposed. The ASUS folio covers the volume and power buttons but does not require any additional pressure, unlike the Incipio cover. On the back, the ASUS Folio also protrudes a little because it covers the bottom of the dock where the phone connects, while the ASUS leaves that exposed. This makes the Incipio a little more sturdy when you fold the front flap back all the way to act as a stand. Finally, the ASUS Folio's front flap has three sections, while the Incipio is just one sturdy piece.
The last difference is the primary reason why I am sticking to the original ASUS Folios.

Unless the cover is metallic, it will work. Metal will disrupt the charging capabilities and can sometimes hurt wireless chargers. Pretty sure this is not a metal case.
EDIT:
Now I understand your question - the incipio brand is a replacement back cover too - which means it probably doesn't have the metal leads or powermat receiver built-in.

It's not a replacement, just an additional stick-on. Should work. Only worry is the increased distance from the charger.
I just tested the official wireless charger's distance, and it works while about half an inch away - I guess as long as the wireless pad you're using is a Powermat standard then it should be NO PROBLEM. I didn't test to see the limit of the wireless charger, but I know that the Qi standard is less powerful. Powermat devices like the Asus Padfone X/S can still charge with Qi but it's been my experience that Qi chargers only work about 1/4th of an inch away or less - and they charge much more slowly.
Just don't get metal in between the charging pad and the phone and you're okay.
