Playerpro < Poweramp - Vibrant Themes and Apps

I have to say "playerpro" from the market is incredibly incredible especially with the DSPPack enable. I find it to better then Poweramp. It's has all the features you like about Poweramp X2. With voodoo sound its purely magical.

LOL thats funny

^ that.
and Playerpro has a super ugly UI compared to the easy Poweramp.
+Player pro is like 6 bucks lol

I'd have to say I respectfully disagree but it's great there is now competition in the market! I do agree the 2 apps are very close.

Powerpro UI is "super" lovely. I always have preferred it over Poweramp. The price is worth it. Last time I checked Poweramp isn't free other.

We all know why Poweramp got popular, it was the first music player with EQ(10 band graphic equalizer. ) later more music players come out with that feature but still didn't have the sound quality/15 default presets.
But know powerplayer has it, i don't really know when it came out but I'm guessing it's has to be recent. But yeah now Poweramp has competition.

I've used both Playerpro and Poweramp and prefer Playerpro now that it has the EQ. Playerpro also has skins so it can look much better.

Topic title fail!

does Playerpro "hide" the files from System Scan like PowerAmp does? this really speeds things up during reboot.

What about gapless/crossfade playback and headset controls?

I love the UI & ease of PlayerPro, I have not tried PowerAmp though and probably never will because the UI looks unattractive. To each his own though.

Power Amp is 100x better for functionality. UI wise thats a personal taste.
The only thing I miss about my HD7 was the Zune music player, this app rules.

Yeah this only has basic features (playlist support, shuffle, repeat) which you would expect from a music player.
If you want functionality i'd stick with power amp
but personally i think this is the best looking music player i've used and prefer it solely on its looks

ive been messing with these since alpha 2. its pretty solid and getting better. reminds me alot of the feel i had using my zuneHD, but no shuffle repeat options on the now playing. still its actually kinda nice, i bounce back and forth between this and player pro.
edit: found the shuffle repeat options, have to long press the album art. cant wait til finished release.
I like the feel of this and I guess I could use dsp manager for an eq instead of poweramp..

Has anyone gotten Volume+ volume booster to work or are you using another app that does work?

I purchased Volume+ and it works as advertised on my Galaxy S II but on the Note is almost always force closes. usually I relaunch it and then there's a 50/50 chance it will work.
I downloaded it from their web..I got the beta working fine..

No that's not quite what we are talking about that just gives you a new interface for the volume. I'm talking about raising it abover the factory settings

^^^ Thanks for the clarification.
Since the only thing I need louder volume on is my ring tones or notifications, I simple boost the volume with an editor to the point where it begins distorting, then back it off slightly. So far I have had no issue getting my ringtones and notifications loud enough. Nothing like hearing Perry The Platypus as the notification and everyone at work asks "WTF was that!?", yet my almost 3year old twins yell "PERRY!" from across the house.
If you listen to music alot or use it the speakerphone around alot of noice, I suppose this could be an issue, but I don't so I havnt felt the need to make it louder yet.

I also like ubermusic and ³(cubed).
Will give Mort player a try, see which one I like best.
So far Poweramp is the best for me, equalizer and all, you can read online lyrics with musicXmatch!
Poweramp + musicXmatch + beats+cloud's script + DSP manager = a powerful sound player!
For me the Best musica player is a apk in cm9

Just found this list [LIST-2]Music Players For Android!! , I would say as there are quite a few, test a couple out and see what works best for you.
power amp for me I have it both on my one s and xperia s on the xperia s it si fantastic one the one s where do i start..... it makes the xperia s sound like a joke especially when you can add beats audio to it, i do not recommend having power amp on the loudest level on these new htc one series phones not unless you want to lose your hearing.
As a stock player on a phone the one s and one x are the best i have ever heard, so good i dont even need to use power amp.
The default one
Hi !
I think the normal musicplayer is the best one.

CyangenMod's Music Player "Apollo" is out for Android Devices on ICS.

Also, if you guys would like a composed list of ICS optimized apps, check out my thread here.
Apollo (Cyanogen's Music Player)
Apollo is very polished and clean although for the time being is Ice Cream Sandwich Only (Coming to 2.3 devices soon and to the market)
It is theme-able lets you share what your listening to and links your to DSP Manager (Equalizer bundled with CyanogenMod)

very nice stuff; works great and looks great with the newest CM9 release!
I tried the beta out a few weeks ago and it was using obscene amounts of CPU. I really liked the enhancements he made to the stock player though, so I'll check it out again to see if it can unseat PlayerPro as my daily driver.

Yeah. I've resorted to using tasker with a task timer for that functionality on my music apps. Even works on Pandora. And I just add the timer widget to my home screen and tap it and can set any time for it. Pretty handy.

I actually love this compare to other music players I seen. I love how it looks and how it operates. I just wish it has folder browsing, I usually find my music by folder rather than album and artist. I know I'm weird
I should just actually just suck it up and go with the standard rather than folder browser. Yes I love it this much. Thanks for sharing
