[Q] How do i turn on USB debugging in E10i - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hello. I have an Xperia X10 mini
My phone has gone in a boot-loop. When i turn it on it gets stuck at the SE logo and reboots and loops.
I had xRecovery, but cant go into recovery by pressing the back button.
I need to flash it. I tried SEUS. Didnt work. gets stuck at the last bit of downloading. I tried ROOT_F3v3_custom. Didnt work. tried global world 2.1 didnt work. I tried Flashtool_0.2.9.1. but is says turn on usb debugging.
How the hell do i turn on usb debugging if I cant turn it on?????
Please HELP

No you don't just lissen up ,,,pull your battery plug in charger put battery back in so. Press power button leave till it charges ,,now pull power cable ,,,,back to xrecovery ...or the long way seus

[Q] A little advice from the pro's please,

I'm hoping someone picks this up and can advise me on the best way to go with my x10mini. I'm fairly new to android and have been considering rooting my device for sometime now, the only thing that's stopped me is this, which is the best/safest method to go about it? I first found the Superoneclick method and figured I could manage that, then found another method which eludes me at the moment, now I've found this, from here
talkandroid.com
and here
Android SDK
"You will need ADB from Android SDK and USB drivers for X10 mini (part of Sony Ericsson PC Companion).
Enable USB debugging on the phone in Settings>Applications>Development and connect the phone to PC via USB.
Add the Power management widget to your active widgets on the phone, so you can quickly trun off and on the wi-fi function."
Pretty sure I could manage this too but before I root my device could someone please tell me what I risk in doing this and the percentage chance of the risk occurring? Absolutely love the Android ethos, it has inspired me to seek out Android info and self teach app development, I need to root my device but don't want to make it never work again. I believe I can trust these downloads, they look safe, but advice from a seasoned Android rooter would be greatly appreciated.
I used SuperOneClick method found in this forum. its a breeze and never fail me
yeah, i figured that could be the way to go, still bit concerned about writing my phone off tho. S'pose I'll just have to take the plunge.
if you brick it use seus then star again its easy

SuperOneClick does the job...the best.
Thanks for the feed back, good to know that people on here are willing to help no matter the level of knowledge someone has, this has given me the confidence to get things done now. Thanks again, I'll be back if I'm having problems.

I guess you're talking about the Xperia Mini? And not the X10Mini?
The Experia Mini is a 2011 device with touchbuttons for options and back, the X10Mini is a 2010 device with hardware-buttons for that functionality, so I think you're in the wrong forum.

This was Peter Parker's smartphone in the Amazing Spider-Man. Just an interesting bit of trivia.
