Search for lithid gapps. The talk app from there works. But its bundled with.many other apps so you can delete them from the zip.
EDIT: I'll update void-addons with talk and email that works.
Included in void addons pack in the general section thread.
try imo beta from market its really gr8...

I've never found Gtalk in android market either, but you can flash the Gapps provide in devoid.Franco's first page thread. If you want just Gtalk then delete all the others than flash with recovery. Always do a backup before flashing.
i installed cm7 yesterday on my htc inspire. and to my great dismay, i couldnt find the android market or google apps ANYWHERE on it. what the hell is this?? i dont get it!! can anyone explain this crap and is it still possible to install android market and google apps?
Google the following:
"wiki cyanogenmod gapps "

GAPPS(market, maps, gmail, gtalk) are not bundled with any CM. you gotta flash the appropriate version as separately from recovery.
GAPPS(Gtalk, Gmail, market, maps etc) are not bundled with CM7 due to copyright reasons.
Download GAPPS here and flash with recovery.

You must install the correct gapps (Google Apps) package alongside any Cyanogenmod ROM (and most other community-built ROMs). This includes the framework for associating your device to your Google account, Gmail, Market, etc.
You should be able to find the correct gapps package through ROM Manager or http://goo-inside.me/gapps

Please do your research before opening a new thread. It is a well known and commonly post fact that CM based roms don't include any Google apps.
Glad you got it sorted out though.

better flash all gapps remove unwanted apps using any root explorer :good:
or try this google play 4.1.6 latest
From the gapp zip remove files which you don't need... Play store needs 3 files...phonesky framework-services and login service...if you use 4.2 it will need one more file I think...

Thanks, "deccen90" apk didn't work and its look like there's no way to get this
You must install gapps so you have the Google services framework.
If you don't play won't work. You won't be able to add your Google account to the device.
Another thread for such question???
C'mon guys why don't you search n post in already available threads?

Hey guys,
I'm new to xda and this is my first post.
No I heard a lot of people having issues on ics themed custom roms about google play services won't install.
If you are looking for a youtube fix: download and install an older version of youtube to be able to sign in.
Google it!
If you are trying to get google play services by flashing newest gapps, I will tell you it will not work because google updates apps often.
If you really want google play services, you will have to flash back to stock.
Hope I helped!

none of this is true
you can use the latest version of youtube on any custom rom and be able to sign in and use google play services- all you have to do is flash gapps
please see my post for any stock based rooted deodxed custom roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46893983&postcount=131
once you have flashed gapps open the market (playstore) app and it will self update to latest version after a while
open/download the latest version of youtube and sign in - it will ask you to install services from play store - install it and it will install with no errors now that gapps is installed
I didn't know that.
I tried it out and it worked.
Thanks!
P.s. You can also make a backup of your data and apps.
