I still don't understand how much I personally will have to pay for this phone.
I am one year into a two year contract that I signed up for when I purchased my Evo on June 4th last year. At the time I was already a Sprint customer but had been out of contract for over two years. I currently have a preorder at Best Buy for the Evo 3d. I have a 150 gold premium upgrade waiting for me to apply to this purchase.
That takes me down to 350 bucks. Is there some other discount I would qualify for that would take me down to 200? Would I qualify for the instant 100 rebate through Best Buy? Is that a separate rebate from the 150 Premium gold upgrade discount? If it is, do the discounts stack?

If you qualify for the full upgrade then you get the new customer price. So basically it will be $499-$150 which is $349 but there will be the rebate that will bring it down to $199.

Nice, I just paid 550 for the Nexus S and am so excited that the Evo 3D is only 500. Nexus S is going back soon but I can't say I am not going to miss it. I just feel that the Evo is more future proof as far as hardware goes

Ok I don't know if the price is going to be what it says or not. But you are reading that advertisement wrong.
First the website is 'inyofacerecords.com' which is the Black Eyed Peas label. Which is why it's listed there, right next to the ad for the Black Eyed Peas.
If you're going to attempt to debunk something, at least do it right.

Amazon has it (Green Lantern) listed as June 7th for the release. I don't know how that works, but maybe releasing a copy on a phone is different than the Bluray release date? Or maybe they worked a deal for an early release of the film on the phone or something (they did show that Prince of Persia movie before it was in theaters at the OG Evo release party).

Apparently they will not be receiving phones until the 26th. meaning you can expect shipments to go out on the 26th AT THE EARLIEST. The later in line you are, the higher the chances you may get delayed even more.
1-Day shipping means the 27th at the earliest, so no time to play with it on the weekend...
Since going with wirefly does save me $70, tax, plus friends and family store, I'll be anxiously waiting, but this does suck

1. go here: http://www.fatwallet.com/Wirefly-coupons/ for the click-through. it gives you $25 cash back for ordering any phone on wirefly.
2. to get friends and family price (which is $149.99) google wirefly friends and family.
3. if you have Bank of America, go here: https://additup.bankofamerica.com , and then access wirefly, and you get $50 in your BofA account.
But, all these options do not allow you to have your phone on the 24th.
I don't think you can take the word from 1 chat representative and say it's delayed. I called and asked and they said it would ship on the 24th. Now I'm regretting putting $50 down at Radioshack. I may get it from wirefly friends and family for $150 and then get $50 to spend at Radioshack on accessories and what not...

I also pre-ordered at radioshack, but I figure, if I pick up the phone for $150, i save taxes and basically got the gift card for free... if my 3D is delayed too far out (very possible since i just purchased this morning depending on their stock and looking at amazon's status), i'll just pick it up from radio shack. I'll talk to another wirefly rep in a bit and see if i get the same answer.

My local Best Buy will be receiving 30 phones on the 24th. I'm number 13 on the reserved list. Im sure other places will save you a buck or more but I've been holding onto a $100 BB gift card since Christmas for this very reason. 2 weeks can't come soon enough!!!

I went with The Shack. Wirefly has some ridiculous policy that if you swap phone numbers on the 3D they charge you like 300 dollars. My wife has a full upgrade, mine isnt up until July so I'm getting the 3D on her upgrade then giving her my Evo. She can't wait to get rid of her Pre, and I'll still be sitting on a full upgrade for the next best phone when July rolls around.

well, I preordered my evo 3d w/ a sprint store several weeks ago, but wont be getting it till Monday. I am number four on the list but they are only getting two tomorrow. grrrrrr.....
you guys got ne ideas on how I can still get one tomorrow? I know most of the preorders are soaked up already though...
Call or go buy all your local Best Buys, Radio Shacks, Walmarts, Targets, authorized retailers, Sprint tele-sales, etc.

Be waiting at the store before it opens in the morning, so you're the first one through the door when it opens. They operate on a first-come basis ... they can't prevent you from picking up your phone if you're the first one who shows up with proof of pre-ordering.
My guess is that HTC learned their lesson from the OG Evo... you should almost undoubtedly be able to walk into any other authorized retailer tomorrow and pick one up unless you live in the middle of nowhere.
All of the stores I have contacted about accessories in my area have told me they will have more than enough stock of the phones to satisfy pre-orders and walk-ins.

if you did the giftcard deal from sprint, you can use the giftcard at any corporate sprint store, maybe worth camping out at a larger one and see if you luck out and they have some and you can still apply it towards that?

not true, when the PRE came out, we had a list, and we HAD to hold the phone for I believe...24 or 48 hours for the person's in priority of the list (corporate sprint atleast)
good news is tho that some people actually didn't come and pick theres up, bad news is it still took a couple days to release them.
good news is my manager was a **** and he started selling the hold overs that night rofl.

lol... yeah i think that's the deal at my sprint store. but thanks to the ideas posted by you guys.....
i called my local radio shack, the manager said be there 15 mins before open and he will hook me up. guaranteed. He said I have to cancel the sprint preorder though (feel guilty doing this because I really like the store I preordered it from)...
next question though, can I not trade in my evo 4g at radio shack and still go bring it to a sprint store for the $150 credit?
you can trade in your phone to a corporate store at any time and get the money for it, you don't need to be purchasing anything at the time.

but just to reiterate... a sprint "corporate" store is just an officially branded Sprint store, right? like, are there non-corporate official Sprint stores? (not including the mall kiosks and the like)

That's why I ordered mine from a Sprint Corporate Store.
Starting to get annoyed at my local store. It is a partner store, so they said they were opening at 10. My brother ordered his and they told him 8. Today a buddy preordered and they said they will be open "by 10".
I guess I will drive past it and see if it is open at 8, if not I will go back a few hours later. In the meantime I can pick up some bagels for my wonderfully understanding wife
I preordered from a corporate store but they've yet to call me about picking up my pre-order tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I was one of, if not the first, for that store to pre-order. I hope they haven't forgotten about my pre-order.

I just made a $50 pre-order in Sacramento. Looked like they had 5-6 units on their locked shelf, one of which he scanned for my order.
Not aware of any other stores that will have them for pick-up tomorrow.
Feels like these will be hard to obtain for these early days.

What part of Northern California. I'm in Redding and our Best Buy will have them. I pre-ordered mine, but I called to make sure it would be there tomorrow and the guy told me they had 8 in stock in addition to the pre orders.
I live in the Orlando FL area.
Today went to pre order the phone and they could not find it in their system, chatted on line with ATT rep, it was on line available but try as they might, the store guys couldn't find it....how odd.
Well I got a 50.00 discount on my phone bill as a result. They were very embarrasssed.
I understood their confusion but I am still shaking my head. Came home and didn't get it, still trying to work thru the whole experience.

Have them look it up by sku when they direct fulfill your phone upgrade or new line. It doesn't show up in the master list for some reason but it is searchable by the sku number.

Not true about the online only, if you pre-order online or in a store it will ship to your house on the 17th, 2 days before launch.

I know it's like an hour drive (depending on traffic on I-4 of course) from Orlando, but I can tell you the Best Buy in Daytona Beach is taking pre-orders. I pre-ordered mine yesterday. Maybe try the Best Buy at The Mall at Millennia.

it only shows up in the upgrade flow btw... and instead of scanning sim and imei choose search for DF devices then type in sku. you can't get it on the main df screen like you could with iphones.

I tried doing this, but the submit button was grayed out. Customer care told me I can't preorder it since my contract expires on the 29th.
I will bring in the SKU number for the white one with me this time.
I am in the SF Bay Area, CA btw.

That because in I wanna say September if I remember correctly at&t switched all upgrades to same month upgrades for our customers... so if it is lets say Feb 22nd for your upgrade date, you can really do it anytime in that month of February. They also switched them from the old 21 month upgrade date to 20 months instead.

no problem... i went in to upgrade my line yesterday on my day off with my manager and it wasn't showing up so I was like I'm not leaving until this is preordered lol... I had him try it that way with the sku and it came right up and was good to go as I have seen that issue in the past with a different smartphone launch.
