I live in the Orlando FL area.
Today went to pre order the phone and they could not find it in their system, chatted on line with ATT rep, it was on line available but try as they might, the store guys couldn't find it....how odd.
Well I got a 50.00 discount on my phone bill as a result. They were very embarrasssed.
I understood their confusion but I am still shaking my head. Came home and didn't get it, still trying to work thru the whole experience.

I called to register my GN today that I bought from eBay and they said the IMEI in there system was for a Motorola phone, I had to give them my IMEI manually.

Not true about the online only, if you pre-order online or in a store it will ship to your house on the 17th, 2 days before launch.

I know it's like an hour drive (depending on traffic on I-4 of course) from Orlando, but I can tell you the Best Buy in Daytona Beach is taking pre-orders. I pre-ordered mine yesterday. Maybe try the Best Buy at The Mall at Millennia.

it only shows up in the upgrade flow btw... and instead of scanning sim and imei choose search for DF devices then type in sku. you can't get it on the main df screen like you could with iphones.

I tried doing this, but the submit button was grayed out. Customer care told me I can't preorder it since my contract expires on the 29th.
I will bring in the SKU number for the white one with me this time.
I am in the SF Bay Area, CA btw.

That because in I wanna say September if I remember correctly at&t switched all upgrades to same month upgrades for our customers... so if it is lets say Feb 22nd for your upgrade date, you can really do it anytime in that month of February. They also switched them from the old 21 month upgrade date to 20 months instead.

no problem... i went in to upgrade my line yesterday on my day off with my manager and it wasn't showing up so I was like I'm not leaving until this is preordered lol... I had him try it that way with the sku and it came right up and was good to go as I have seen that issue in the past with a different smartphone launch.

Think its contract only. Want to get one on PAYG or SIM FREE on 27th but I doubt they'll have them unlocked. I'm going early in the morning on wednesday, so I'll update on here if its availible on PAYG or Sim Free
EDIT: Here suggests it'll be availible PAYG for £499 on Wednesday
I emailed them and got a reply back saying there fones aren't unlocked?...
I know CPW's handsets are unlocked... I work for O2 and have heard there coming soon, not sure of deals as I work in customer services lol.

I really hope they have some sim-free in store on 27th, hopefully CPW wont have took my money out of bank if i can grab 1 from there early.
I asked about this and my local CPW and P4U both said they were unlocked, but that means they can take any network's sim card. It doesn't mean they don't come on a contract - that's referring to as "sim-free" and even that's a bit of a misnomer as it could have a PAYG sim.
I don't know if I'm being helpful or pedantic here. I mean the former, honest!

Actually they are shipping out on 28th according to the website.
29th is holiday, 30th and 1st is weekend, 2nd is holiday. So in any case people wont get their phones before 3rd in UK

I have ordered from them, do you think they can ship the handset on 28th so i can get it on 4th, as it is a international order & also what is the probability that handtec is getting the stock on 27th, coz is heard some people saying that they delay the phones & also all are talking @ phones4u but no one seems interested @ haandtec, I dont know why

well you are correct but maybe they mean they get on 27th and the phones are shipped to your address on the 28th (next day), or ovsly they just dont ship till 28th in which we are doomed lol

$170 at Walmart on contract seems pretty good if you don't have the Best Buy $50 deal. The "Accessory Kit" from Costco I'm sure is just garbage-y... pic is too low res to even see what's in it.
Keep in mind, activation is waived at Costco. $36.00 savings, so it's basically the same price as Walmart (+3 dollars)

That said, I just pre-ordered Stealth Black from Walmart as they are 1 of the 2 vendors doing it. Hoping something from ATT pops before the shipdate though, so I can scrap this order and get it from them as they have a far superior return policy.
Costco link doesn't work. When I add the phone to my cart, it works, but when I checkout, it says my cart is empty. Anyone else having this issue?

Just a heads up to those with grandfathered unlimited data, I tried to upgrade a year ago with Costco but they were unable to retain my plan so I didn't go through with it. Hopefully, they are able to now.

Well, walmart let me pre-order today. Costco was one of the other few places that kept their Stealth Black orders open. It's possible that they were only allotted a certain amount, that or they fudged up. Regardless, I placed my order with walmart. Going to see how things turn out on the official release date, and if there is no traction on it, I'll be cancelling and waiting for ATT.
Are there any employees of any wireless carrier that can comment on the availability of the black version? Anyone seen a memo or shipment allotment for their particular employer? I was hoping to get a black one but might have to go with silver

Wait dude. If you honestly want silver, then do it. But if you are excited about black, and want that more, then go for it. Otherwise wait, you'll be happier.
I talked to a rep and this was their official stance on the Black version:
Mike S.: AT&T customers will be able to preorder the Silver HTC One on April 4, 2013.* The 32GB model will be $199.99 with a two-year commitment and the 64GB model will be $299.99 with a two-year commitment. The Silver model will be available in store on April 19th and availability on the Black model is still TBD. i just saw a link for the wal-mart pre-order and was wondering if you got information on the capacity of the one you ordered? i didnt see any mention of capacity in the wal-mart description. however, im assuming its 32GB since they have it for $169.99!

Just the 169 Stealth Black they offered. Haven't received an update email yet. I'll see what happens. Will give them til the 20th to update.

Most stores I've called say not announced... but one store said a few stores have started getting them. All I know is they are over -150 orders in and they are just waiting for them to start showing up. If you cut it close get the silver and just trade it before the 14 days. I am hopeful that it will be either tomorrow or early next week.
I have not heard from a single person who has got it...
I've seen it in store as a demo and was offered one today but ended up buying the silver. I'm in Atlanta for your reference.

probably but I'm sure you probably can try to argue that it was suppose to be out the 19th and you had to get the rebate just to see what they said. I just talked to AT&T and it may be better news she said that the preorders and now at -144 so either they started shipping some or people canceled the orders.
I guess I'll call some Best Buys today then... I bet they'd even price match Walmart's $150. I'll also try calling a few corporate stores again today, though I'm sure they're tired of people calling.

I was at best buys yesterday and almost purchased a silver one. They approved the price match with walmart without hesitation. Decided to hold off and wait for the black but it's getting really difficult.

I actually got my silver on the 18th, but no rebate, just the media link streamer. I'm not sure it is worth the extra $35.

Unless they actually checked the availability right in front of you there's reason to believe them. I've been misled several times already.
I don't follow market trends or tactics but if I had to make a guess. You will see the black show up on the S4 release date.
Additionally, I'm surprised BB matched Wal-Mart. The price match doesn't include wireless phones. At least that is what their policy states.

my BBY said they stopped that practice. And I was trying so hard to wait to see if my Radio Shack was getting it so i could do the $50 Play store card. but they have no info on it. So I called ATT chewed them out and got the silver one for $150 free overnight and no activation fee. Im currently siting by the door lol im so impatient couldn't wait any longer:laugh:

I think they are running out on at&t web site too so it might just take a couple days, yes it sucks but what can you do. Maybe we can hear good news from others who bought on best buy maybe theirs has shipped.

I ordered when it showed up as available for purchase (I was waiting). I called just now and they said it's showing as backordered, but that my ETA was 4/4 - 4/15.
If I can find it somewhere else, I'll cancel and re-order, but I'm not expecting anyone else to be faster. I wish I could get the Verizon one without their service and just unlock it (I'm extremely impatient..)
Edit: in the AT&T orders thread people are receiving theirs already or have it shipped. I went ahead and ordered from there as well. I will cancel whichever doesn't ship first.
The Verizon phones are already SIM unlocked outta the box. I believe allnof their phones are but only H+ compatible. No LTE

Not on my still shows the same I log in to my best buy account a few times a day hoping to see a ship confirmation but find nothing but disappointment. I thought about calling them again and complaining about it because I think the best buy web site still has the phone for purchase so why is that if they still have not shipped mine from 3-25-14 at 3pm est ???? Maybe they might discount my price or throw something in but they dont really seem to care when you call as they offer to cancel your order like I really want to do that and end up biting my tongue because I feel that they should not be selling the phones if they dont even have them...

If I can find it somewhere else, I'll cancel and re-order, but I'm not expecting anyone else to be faster. I wish I could get the Verizon one without their service and just unlock it (I'm extremely impatient..)
Edit: in the AT&T orders thread people are receiving theirs already or have it shipped. I went ahead and ordered from there as well. I will cancel whichever doesn't ship first.

The verizon ones have lte frequencies that I do believe only work for verizon, at least not for at&t, Tmobile or Sprint. I think they work internationally possibly though. The thing about verizon phones is though that verizon wont let htc dev unlock your bootloader, so for the verizon model you wont get root until someone figures out s-off for the htc m8 which I think it may not be long before someone does it sounds like the devs are close to cracking it, once they do you can root the verizon model also. Another reason to hate big red other then them being a holes about everything especially not competing with prices of other networks, hopefully it will be their downfall and they will get taken over by a company with business sense and not a company that wants to squeeze evey penny out of you that they can and think they deserve it...
I definitely recommend ordering from att. It shipped and made it to my city the next day (was marked to deliver on a week day and it was Saturday so I have to wait till Monday. ) so if you want to try it could be faster.
I ordered the Gunmetal Gray from Best Buy on Tuesday when I ordered it said sips in 3-5 days. I just called BB and they told me that it was back ordered, they said if it does not come back in stock by April 8th then they would automatically cancel my order. He did say that they are expecting it to come back in stock by April 8. It would be nice if I didn't have to call them to find out that it was back ordered.

When I got my order confirmation on the 29th it said: "Estimated arrival date: April 3 - April 15"

Yes I read announced 2/20 for pre-order and hits the market on 3/8. I signed up to reserve a pre-order spot for me and my husband cause of the $550 trade in. I hope they give away the new galaxy buds too. I called Best Buy to see if they knew what their deals were going to be yet and he said they won't know till the announcement date and when it's time to pre-order. I can't see Best Buy giving $550 trade in though.

You think they will give them away too or they've already announced it? I'm guessing will know on the 20th that is when we will pre-order for a guaranteed 3/8 delivery.

I don't know what to do now lots of people over on slick deals are saying Samsung has screwed them over and tired to say their phone was messed up once they got it and not giving the full amount you think your getting. Now I see Best Buy is doing $550 too so I am not sure who to order from now. And yes I am so glad the buds are free with it. Now to pick a color.

I see where the phone will be available on March 8 at my Bestbuy while Samsung has given me a shipping date of March 15. I looked on Bestbuy's website to think about trading there instead but saw this, "Trade-in valid in store only. Minimum savings is $50. Savings excludes unlocked phones. Terms and conditions apply". Since BB is only accepting locked phones that leaves me out.

No my Best Buy and I asked them over and over in store and on the phone before I went in their is 2 deals a 650 and a 550. I am trading in my unlocked S9plus and buying an unlo9cked S10plus. When the phone comes in go to pick it up turn in my S9plus and get 550 off my S10plus. I was told this by 2 people in store and when I called I asked the guy 3 times and he said has to be done in store and I said well I am coming in let me repeat my self to make sure you understand what I want to do and I want to make sure your telling me correctly and I got his name. I have pre-order reserve date.
I preordered S10+ today will get it on March 1 with Buds.

I hope so on your part. I've already started the trade-in with Samsung but was out earlier and wanted to look at the phone at Best Buy. I asked the Samsung salesman in the store and he told me they were restricted to carrier locked phones only for the trade-in program. There was another sales person standing there and she didn't correct him. At least you got a name and if they then refuse you can just cancel the sale altogether.

I went to my local authorised Samsung shop and paid 20% deposit. Despite online preorders coming to customers only on March 6 shop personnel assured me that on March 1 I can visit shop and get my phone.
The shop already had display units so I guess they have some stock.
