UOT - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to get uot themes working on stock deodexed blur? I've got the 2.1.1 FR sbf flashed and don't want to install any p-roms. I tried it once and uot does say it works on stock roms but I couldn't get it working.

U could adb pull the framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk, theme it, then push it back. This requires root though as would all methods of changing system files

Did you upload your framework-res.apk to UOT?

i dont think you even need to be de odexed to use the majority of features in theme kitchen as framework-res.apk doesnt have an .odex file (at least for me it didnt on stock 2.1.1 sbf) so you can just upload your apk, choose your mods, and then it gives you a zip to flash with cwm, make sure you check the amend scripting box as otherwise it wont flash

[Q] Does UOT Kitchen work on odex roms?

I want to create a battery mod for odexed froyo KA6 stock using the framework-res in the lockscreen mod for it. I already flashed the lockscreen mod, and want to retain the mod, so I am taking the framework-res from it and then inputting that to UOT kitchen. It says it only works for deodex roms, however, it went through fine. I have yet to flash it. Has anyone else used UOT kitchen before? Thnx

Cooking 345 on UOT

I have a deodexed 345 stock rom. And rooted.
When I use UOT and use the old scripting with streakmod and only doing a battery change I get a bootloop. I don't get any 9.png errors either.
I have cleaned dalvik cache and removed cache partition.
Still no luck. Any suggestions?
I can't do a fresh flash because that will add the odex files again and I will not be able to use UOT.
I use stock framework-res.apk, I just flash the cooked battery meter using clockwork and it works for me. Flashing it using streakmod does not do anything.
I gave up. I flashed steakdroid 1.9 over 345. So I can get the better performance and easy mods.
how you deoxide?

Try the themes and apps section
I would also check out http://uot.dakra.lt/ to change battety and icons.
But you need to have a deodexed rom
Search auto deodexer in the xda forums and search xultimate 2.2.2 to help you learn how to deodex your rom.
You then flash using streakmod recovery or clockworkmod recovery. You can find instructions in the development section.
i have flashed the battery meter i cooked and works great.
I DO NOT HAVE A DE ODEXED ROM.
So i guess it should work without deodexing

I saw this post before. But with the stock deodexed 345 I do not get any 9.png errors on UOT. If i ever go back to stock 345 I will need to use cwm recovery instead of streakmod.

I tried using cwm recovery with no luck either.
Do you have a deodexed 345?
And what version of cwm recovery are you using on the streak?

[Q] UOT Kitchen & CM7

I'm trying to change the status/top bar of a CM7 theme using UOT Kitchen. The first time I ever attempted this was last night. Followed the instructions step by step; everything was good. But when I flashed it, nothing changed.
My question is, when uploading files to UOT it says for GB Rom's upload the framework and system apk. For CM7 Roms just upload the theme apk i.e. Cyanbread. Seeing how CM7 is GB thats where I'm confused. Should I upload just the theme apk or the framework and system apks? Or should I upload them all?

I read somewhere else that UOT might not be updated yet for 2.3.5 Gingerbread like the latest AOSP roms are running.

I only theme out my framework-res.apk and my SystemUI.apk. The SystemUI.apk is the stock look that you get on Gingerbread without any modifications. If you unzip if with 7zip you'll see what I mean. I've never flashed it into a live/booted rom. I modify my files pngs mostly and let the kitchen do the hard work (the files I still don't understand), then replace the SystemUI.apk and the framework-res.apk into the CMupdate.zip file. There is probably a more preferable way to do it, but I don't switch themes a lot (and the theme chooser doesn't theme everything I need anyway)
I know this way will work as I've gotten my edits into these today/yesterday

[Q] transparent status bar

hi, how to get transparent status bar on miroslav sdsl 1.1? I try some fleshable zip from forum but not work.
if you have a deodexed rom then i think fastest and confirm working method is UOT kitchen (go google it) but it does have some bugs that only zdunes patcher can fix. but his patcher does not seem to work on our phone anymore. Oldest old school method is decompiling the apks and edit them
UOT kitchen does support odexed ROMs. Just extract and upload framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk Go to Status bar and check Enable transparency in status bar box. But UOT kitchen doesn't have tweak for 2nd pulled bar so it will look weird. Try it out and you will see how does it look.
Tnx, will try leater.

If you have odexed ROM (SDSL) zdune's patcher will not work, but UOT kitchen will, but UOT kitchen has weird looking tweak for transparent statusbar.

Sorry for the delay, been busy these days.
Got two versions meizu/miui settings (transparent statusbar+some tweaks) and transparent statusbar only.
If you encounter problems flash undo, then again patch.
Also transparency is only visible in themes that supports it (MIUI, Meizu and LunarUI and probably many others).
I deodexed SDSL v1.1 and got the transparent statut bar with Zdune's patch.
help me on SDSL roms
would this work for sdsl 2.0.??
Yes if you deodex rom.

Update.zip and/or framework not working

Can someone take a look at this zip and the framework-res.apk for me and see if there's something I am missing? I am trying to theme the Energy ICS Rom.
Zip
I used to use the UOT kitchen as the start on my themes, but it seems since the ICS update I cannot get that to work either, nothing but errors

Well that's good to know
However I still can't get my theme to work, even tried using another theme I know works with my Amaze as a basis, just replacing framework-res.apk in it, and it still wont boot up... I deliberately left my USB cable at home today because I am becoming too obsessed with this LOL
