Open up the app drawer, hit menu and edit. Then you can change the dock icons.

I am using launcher pro and it is great I have figured out how to change the Dock itself but not the icons in the dock. Such as the contacts or the phone or the app drawer icon. Does anyone know how to do this and if so would be so kind as to enlighten me? Thanks in advance!
Long press on the icon in the dock and it will give you an option to change them. You can choose LP icons or a custom icon from your Gallery. Hope this helps.

This helped tons. Thanks!!!
Do you guys know if theres anyway to change the 4 apps at the bottom of the TouchWiz launcher??
I really like the launcher but it annoys me that I can't put my prefered messaging app (Handcent SMS) at the bottom of the screen instead of the stock messaging app.

Open your app drawer, tap the key to the left of home, it's name escapes me, to enter edit mode. You can then drag/drop icons to the dock.
How can I replace the bottom icons (phone, contact, applications, messaging) with another app.
I want to use a different sms app and want to replace the default icon with the new app icon.
before I just had to press and change icon with desired one. Now that method does not work.
Please advice
Thanks

Hi,
I'm trying to replace the Go SMS Icon on the default Samsung lockscreen, I use Go SMS for default sms and I'm running Nova launcher so have changed the go sms icon to ics icon. But on my lockscreen the go sms icon cannot be changed, is there away?? I have tried a few ICS lockscreen but none work to how I want, either double lock screen or look awful!
Can someone shed some light on best way.
Thanks

AFAIK, the icon cannot be changed on the default lockscreen. Only the application. The only way I can see to change the icon would be to edit the Go SMS Pro apk and change the icon file to the one you want. This however will need to be done again after every reboot.
Another way would be to create your own small application with the Icon you want, and have that just directly open Go SMS Pro.

Thank you for the reply... Hmm that's a shame as I do like the default lockscreen just the Go SMS Pro app looks awful on there!
I'm not sure how to create my own icon, was hoping that I could copy the stock messaging icon and replace the Go SMS one in root...
Oh well will just stick with Holo launcher now!
Thanks.

i think you can decompile the apk, change the icon sign it and install it and it will have the icon you replaced by default. but its not such an easy process.

Hmm think I might skip that, probably end up causing more damage than its worth!
Thanks though..

If you install widget locker, you can customize the lock screen using any combination of icons-to-apps that you want.

my thought exactly. or any replacement lockscreen that supports it.
Is there any mod that allows to drag app menu button in touchwiz? From the right side to center like in cm10 stock launcher.

I don't think that you can change that in tochwiz. Why not try Nova launcher or Apex Launcher?
well.. no you can't move the Application Menu
That's may sounds strange, but I do like touchwiz. I thought there is a way to change the position of menu button by the editing some system files. Anyway, thanks for replies.
