Hi guys,
I've downloaded and installed an app from the market.
I don't like it, so I remove it.
I install a new ROM and then restore all my settings using my google account, and the app is re-installed as it is listed in the MY APPS section of Market.
My question is, how I can remove this app from this list in MY APPS to avoid the app getting auto-installed?
Cheers chaps

Click on Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications.
Than select the App you want to Un-Install and click on it than click uninstall.
Uninstalling the apps is not a problem

How do i update my installed apps? also is there a way to update them at once rather than one by one?
What apps? Apps you downloaded from market?
If so, open market.. go to downloads.. and it should tell you if there are updates for your apps or not.

I use appbrain to sync my apps, but will only offer you updates from the market. What apps do you mean, can you give an example?

How do I uninstall some of the apps that came with Mik's CM7 ROM, e.g. CarHome?

I don't think that method works because I tried uninstalling Rom Manager and it wouldn't let me. I think titanium backup can remove the apps, go try it out. I don't want to deal with that stuff so I just hide it in launcher pro settings..
use system application remover works best for me.
Some apps cant be removed, they are required for phone to run. You may remove the others with "manage applications" under settings.

Car Home is required for my phone to run?
Titanium Backup will surely do the work ,any application can be deleted ,but dont delete any system application that is needed by the system.
Use root uninstaller. Just be careful..

Hello people
I have just installed google maps and street view (these are system apps you know and cant be un-installed normally). So i used "Root Uninstaller Pro" to remove them. It did remove them, but now i had four strange apps in my app drawer. When i click them, it says not responding. I am also unable to remove them from "Root Uninstaller" since they are not listed there.
So can anyone please tell me how do i remove these apps?
The app names are-->
com.google.android.maps.Latitude
com.google.android.maps.Place
com.google.android.maps.Drive
com.google.android.maps.maps
Thanks for helper
You mean you have these four icons in your app drawer?

Do you have root?

Yes. They appear in app drawer.
Yes. My phone is rooted ofcourse, that was why i was able to use Root Uninstaller.
One thing, when i restarted my phone, those apps are removed from app drawer. Does that mean they are removed from system too?
Yes. I believe so.

If you have root you can check in system/app with a file manager I use root explorer. But if they're gone it's been uninstalled.

I have nearly the same problem, i disabled them but on every restart the y come back.
Simply use TitaniumBackup to freeze or uninstall the apps.
Thanks for help buddies. They are finally gone
Does your play-store have the ability to multi-select apps for deletion?
I've seen a bunch of forums here and there saying that if you hold down on the title of an app then you can select additional apps and delete them from your history of play-store (from all downloaded apps list).
I have tried this on mine but it won't do anything. Any clues?
Play Store version 3.10.9
Thanks in advance!

This feature is not for unistalling apps from your phone. It just deletes the history of downloaded apps which were unistalled

But for me it doesn't work. I have to delete 1 app at a time from my history which is really frustrating because once you 've deleted one application it sends you to the top of the list and you have to scroll down to find the next one.
Any ideas?
Regads.
Think it is a feature of ICS or above as x10 on GB don't work yet arc on ICS does work.

Have you tried cleaning the app data of download manager?
Or did you disable system apps?

Yeah I cleared the data from my download manager but whav do you mean by disable system apps?
i used to remove or disable every app which i considered useless for how i use my phone
so i eventually disabled "Downloads" because i thought i only download things but don't want the app to show up in my app drawer as "Downlaod Manager" takes care of downloading stuff
does downloading apps via play store work for you?

Yes I can download apps just not anything else.
I have had the same problem once myself
But I just can't figure out at the moment how I solved it
You could try things that usually fix some issues like
- Wiping cache and dalvik cache
- Trying a different browser
Do you have root? Or are you just a 'regular' user?
Are you using apps like android firewall? Or have you restricted some apps' permissions?
