Sadly, it does not work. like all the other VOIP apps i have tried.

Actually I just realized it only works over WiFi, and objects to log in over the GSM network! This must be some ****ty thing in the phone software, as it worked fine with G1 on a custom ROM :/

Which version of the Skype app are you using?
In curious as well as to which version you're using. The one stateside in the market has messed up audio.. transmitted from the atrix it almost pure static...
Maybe you can upload the .apk you're using?

I presume this is all about audio-only calls, right?
It seems that developing specific video call apps for the Atrix isn't a priority...

Interesting because the market version works but the microphone levels are so distorted that the other side is not able to hear me.

The first (for rooted phones). This is a non market version. I dloed from the site and have loaded on via installing from the sd card via es file explorer.
Hacked version also has the same problem of static sound on mine, regardless of noise supression settings

this is not my port its hazmatics posted on his twitter but i flashed on my mytouch 4g with cm7.0.2 and its working perfect haven tried video chating yet as i dont have anyone to try it with flash at ur own risk and i am not responsible for anything that happens to ur phone

Bah! WiFi only. I can't do that at work because they don't give us the wifi password. I bet someone enables this to work over data sooner or later. it being friday, and me being a drunk- i probably won't try it today. lol

thanks to G1-evolve for helping out with testing.
seems like it works flawlessly over wifi, even better IMO compared to tango/qik/fring. interface could use a little work though, but stability > style. lets hope the devs take this and enable this to be used over 3g/4g.
this came out much faster than expected. =D
did a test call from my phone to my gf's computer. the video of her to my phone was HORRIBLY delayed (like 15 seconds, ,maybe more. didn't count) and she could not see a video of me at all. instead she saw my google profile picture.

+1. I'm on cm7nb58 and faux's 2.5.2 LV-CFS kernel.
Hopefully someone will be able to figure this out. Can't wait to do some Phone-to-PC video chatting.

It works for everyone except T-Mobile cough. Nexus s has the same problems on T-Mobile.

I tested this with a friend on his iPhone 4. It worked but it was pretty buggy, half the time the app wouldn't get out of landscape, and it would tell me the other party didn't support video even though it connected properly.
Cant get video chat to work for me.
Downloaded app but no video option? Assuming it doesn't work is there an app that talks to Skype?
Works for me though I downloaded a 'hacked' version, one that works with the E3D.
Uploading apk now. Will update post when done.

Tested working, thanks. After Fring removed the Skype plugin this is the only alternative for Phone->PC video chatting.

uhh I can't find that app? in the market.
If you search for Andromedia The first app that comes up is Video Editor. Andromedia is the creator. After you install it, it becomes Andromedia.
