Do you have root? Superuser installed? Did you not allow root explorer in superuser? If you do an adb shell do you get a # or $

I know for sure i am rooted, i grant superuser permissions but when I hit r/w it doesn't change anything
EDIT reinstall of root explorer fixed it, im dumb haha

Is there a list of commands somewhere for the terminal emulator? Please and thanks.

No.
But to see some of the available:
Code:
busybox #prints available busybox commands
ls /bin #prints all files in /bin
ls /usr/bin #prints all files in /usr/bin
ls /sbin
ls /usr/sbin
OK, how would I change the su perms for an application?

sorry but I don't understand.
Is it:
You use su to become root.
You may use chmod to change permissions on a file
You use the superuser app to change witch apps that automatically approves or denies superuser access.

I use file explorer and I have tried to move an apk. File to my system and it gets denied. I'm able to uninstall apps from my system but unable to move a file to my system.
Yes, I am rooted.
Thanks for the help!

Google is your friend. Grant whatever file explorer you're working with super user permissions.
root explorer maybe. use "MOUNT R/W" and u be able to move apps.

Hey,
I can't copy things from my Ext SD to my internal. Root explorer says the system is copyrighted but i rooted my phone?
Xperia SOla stock rom Rooted .54 ?
I already tried to it again with SU but it doesn't work neither... :crying:
Open superuser and update the binaries if it asks.
How did you root? I assume after you did superuser did appear in the app drawer?

Okay, it doesn't ask for anything when I'm opening it. I try to re-install it...
I rooted with B4nary's Root with Restore. Before a half year it worked fine with that but then I had to reflash everything
EDIT: Okay, now SuperUser doesn't ask for anything....
Get es file explorer from the play store

Hello, I am trying to install viper4android and I cannot place the APK into the system apps folder, I just get operation failed. I have tried ES and Solid explorer. Only other way I can think of is a zip install from recovery, how would I make that?

Using es file explorer hit the menu button, root explorer, then mount as r/w.

Thanks, I figured out how to do it in Solid Explorer just as you replied!
How can I mount my system to be R/W so that I can modify the files inside? I am trying to apply the hotspot mod so that I can use hotspot freely (I am still on the unlimited plan). Also looking to apply adaway, which I cannot without system R/W
I have tried apps in the play store and unlocking it through adb shell, maybe I'm just not trying the right options?

Strange, I thought root mode in ES was removed. Found it again though, thanks.

After you enable it in ES you have to click on the Root Explorer words then your option to mount R/W will pop up...
