I have a problem with my GSM prvider here in Hungary.
I can't use my mobileTV at T-Mobile.
WebNwalk side always says "Not supported device",but it's supported here as a T-Mobile G2 Touch.
Service told me that my phone won't work, because T-mobile server see it like a "unsupported" HTC Hero.
So if I want to use my MobileTV,then I have to install the official T-Mobile ROM...or...as I think, if I can change the name of my phone, maybe I can use it with custom ROMs.
Anyone can help me in this situation?
If you know what is being checked, you can probably change a build.prop string to match the stock T-Mobile one.
Any ideas? A logcat might give a clue

Maybe it's also a good option to take the webnwalk app from the T-Mobile ROm, if it's also possible...

Maybe Yes,but I dunno,because I don't have it.
Just I read on T-Mobile site that I have to open webnwalk and then go to here or go to there...
But I can't open wap sites with the stock browser. (Villain ROM 12)
I have to use Opera Mini,but it handle wap sites with a little paranormal activity.
(It handels URLs separated by enter as one...so I can't open URLs, because it shows a message: "unsupported phone" so I can't even open test streams, movie trailers on the T-zones site)

I edited your post to pop it into a codebox, as I was struggling to read it
Hmmm. It looks like you are having Opera Mini crashing, though I can't be sure. Could you explain what you were doing when you took this log, to confirm what I'm seeing (much of it is routine rubbish you get all the time)
I think you need to change the browser UserAgent to view the t-mobile site on the stock browser. There's a guide somewhere on the forum.

I just started Opera Mini, went to the T-Zones site, opened MobilTV site, free video page (but when i click on it, marks the links as one...) and then it say's it unsupported phone, then i quit from Opera, then kill all the apps.
That's all I did.
I attached screenshots. (1st one with false link marking, 2nd with "unsupported..message)
Edit: Also tried changing UserAgent, I just won't show wap pages correctly. ( wap.t-zones.hu )

I just started Opera Mini, went to the T-Zones site, opened MobilTV site, free video page (but when i click on it, marks the links as one...) and then it say's it unsupported phone, then i quit from Opera, then kill all the apps.
That's all I did.
I attached screenshots. (1st one with false link marking, 2nd with "unsupported..message)
Edit: Also tried changing UserAgent, I just won't show wap pages correctly. ( wap.t-zones.hu )

OK. I think we need to change the User Agent in the stock browser for this to work. There's a post somewhere about this.
So I can't do anything?

Umm. There's a way to do this IIRC. You need to edit a /data/data file and change the user agent string to what T-Mobile's browser uses. I can't remember the file name, but it's mentioned somewhere on here.
You edit it and change the UA string itself, then it should allow you to use the android browser on the site.
is Google Earth Available for the Gtab, i know it wouldnt let me install it, but i dont see why it wouldnt work, other than the 3/4 view in Maps doesnt work either...

Then you should search market for Google Earth , just not from a gTablet. I sideloaded it from my Droid but upon startup it just hangs at the splash screen

Ok - So how do I side load it - searched my X for *earth*, and all i found was the .so and other /data/com.google.earth files. but without an APK, how do i install it?
Can someone post the version of Google Earth that works on the tablet. I downloaded version 1.2 but it causes the tablet to keep rebooting till I hold down the power button and force restart the tablet. I have an BT gps receiver that works perfectly with google maps. So can someone post a working apk for the device. I have an android phone but it is not showing up in the market. Thanks

/data is the partition where apk and its associated cache/data files go.
try moving some of the bigger apk's to sdcard.

I have Google Earth loaded but can't get it past the splash page.
I have My Fake Location running, have unchecked Use Wireless networks, unchecked Use GPS satellites, and checked Use mock locations. I've tried what I think is all the combinations of those settings but still no go. Does anyone know if there is a setting I am missing? Should I move it to the SD card maybe? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am on Vegan 5.1.

Can anyone post the My Fake Location apk? It doesn't show up in my market on my gTab and I haven't (and really can't) rooted my phone to get the apk to be able to side load it.

Shoot I had my hopes up that this would finally get Google Maps working...
Google Earth works for me -- both in Portrait and Landscape mode
Here's a recap of how mine is configured if it helps:
- Installed "Location Spoofer" from the Market and set my coordinates
- Location Spoofer has both "Move Randomly" and "Spoof GPS Location" turned OFF (unchecked)
- Running Google Earth v.1.2.1 (6.0.1.2051)
- In Google Earth settings, "Use Hardware Sensors" is turned off (unchecked)
I've tried both "My Fake Location" and "Location Spoofer" and just find that the later works better for me...
Hope that helps...
On this stock gTablet I don't have to run any kind of location spoofer and Earth runs fine with all the controls shown in the help file (sans GPS). The only thing I notice is the image gets blocky and distorts right before maximum zoom-in is reached. No big deal. I find it rather amazing that Earth even runs on a tablet.

What's wrong with yours? I have the same tablet. My WiFi crapped out a couple weeks ago and I've been having hell trying to find any prebuilt firmware, kernels, etc. I did find a few tidbits of info at sunxi-linux.org; the a23 frankenkernel and the SDK. I'm going to attempt to build a boot image if I can find the missing drivers. I have no programming experience so progress has been painfully slow.

I downloaded the firmware (a .zip file) but I have no idea how to flush it. I read that you have to use some "phoenix tool" for Allwinner A23 tablets.
