Is this a case made for the Transformer or is it just "compatible" with it?
It is not available until the 24th. The kindle version is available now, correct?

I like the design of this cas,e since it's the first slim version with some slots inside for business cards & papers.
I am trying a Pleather portfolio version first, then may try this one if reviews turn out to be good.

cases with those corner straps plain suck.... not worth a purchase.

Concur, that is why I chose the other CC case. This one has the middle strap that just hangs there blocking part of the screen, it reminds me of a cheap binder. Don't know why they cost the same as the other. This case is poorly designed in terms of function.

The Best Leather Case Available for TouchHD!

I have been searching online retailers and local shops for a leather case for my Touch HD but to no avail, until I have found this in one of the mall in the Philippines while on holiday. I believe this is one of the best genuine leather case available for the HD regardless of the price. The best part of it is the price: Only USD15.00
The leather is not stiff but smooth and soft. The stitching is very well done. All phone controls and buttons are all accessible.
Check out the pix to have an idea how amazing this leather case is.
The pictures does not include the belt clip which also serves as headset/headphone cable organizer. Very, very neat!
looks good, do you know who manufactured it?

It's Capdase. They actually have cases for all other phones including, iphone, blackberries. I actually bought similar cases too for my Blackeberry bold and Nokia 5800.
I'm wondering whether this leather case could be made compatible with Krusell's Multidapt mounting system, so it could be used with their car and bike holder kits. Could you maybe give me the exact dimensions of the swivel thingy that I suppose gets screwed in the back of the case?
Here's the corresponding Krusell data:
outside-diameter (top 2mm): 12,5mm
outside-diameter (lower 2mm): ca 9,5mm
inside-diameter: 7mm
also, do you know what kind of screw is used?
here's a pic of the krusell belt kit (the swivel thingy I'm talking about is obviously the second from the left):
Whoooa! The last pic, where it shows th case being used as a stand raises it's value a lot
Where can we buy this product ??

I believe it will not be compatible. I am at work now, I will post additional pictures with belt clip on and the screw itself. I have had Krussel before but it is not as well designed as the belt clip that comes with this Capdase case.

I bought this in a mall in the Manila, Phils. I have search the web but it is not available. Maybe you could try search "Capdase" in Ebay. Even in Manila, it is not readily available in most shops, you really have to ask for it.

I will try to post additional pictures when I get off from work. But I can assure that it still fits my front pocket comfortable without looking happy to see everybody ....I never use the belt clip and screw so that's helped a lot in terms of pocketability.

I use a simple leather case to protect my HD. Bought on ebay where you also get a screen protector with it what is much better than the original one.

Hiya guys. Just received my phone today.
I have ordered one of these Beyza SlimLine Leather Pouch Case.
Has anyone had one of these before, and what was their view of it?
Looking for a slim (protective) case, whether it be silicone or leather, pouch or flip-case, so that I can carry the phone in my jeans pocket.

I'd support that. Got the Bugatti SlimCase two weeks ago, and I'm quite satisfied with it.
PROs:
- Sturdy, quality leather case, offers good protection for the HD.
- Fixed belt loop. (yes there is a belt loop on the back - hard to see on some pictures). No clip that can accidentally slip off your belt.
- Slim fit: The HD's a slim device, and this case doesn't add bulk to it. Sits tightly against the belt, so no bulge at your waist. Comfortable to wear even under a business suit.
- velcro fastening: No chance of the HD accidentally slipping out of the case.
- Good fit around device: The HD fits in just right, and it's not too tight (so no unnecessary pressure on the screen).
- EasyOut strip, really easy to operate: Undo the velcro and pull the strip in one movement - hey presto, the HD is lifted about 1/3 out of the case. Couldn't be easier.
CON:
- Putting the HD back into the case is a bit more fiddly: The EasyOut strip gets in the way, or gets twisted. Not easy to do with one hand.
Overall, a really good belt-able case, and a real bargain too.
(I got mine from Amazon for ~ 10 € incl. P&P!!!!)
N.
You got to watch out for some of those cases on Ebay. I bought one for my X1i when I had it and because it was kinda tight ( needed breaking in ) it wore the paint down on an edge near the control panel. It was felt lined but the outer shell felt more like synthetic leather.
Krussel case here because of the quality and the Multidapt system, my last five cases have been Krussel so I have all the belt clips, windshield brackets etc. already.

rooCASE Slim-fit Case Review - Dock without having to remove your case

Just received the rooCASE Slim Fit from PC Micro via Amazon.com. Sorry, I can't yet post links, so the product title is: rooCASE Slim-Fit (Black) Folio Case Cover with Multi Adjustable Viewing Angles for Asus Eee Pad Transformer 10.1-Inch TF101 Android Tablet Wi-Fi.
I had been looking for a while for a case with clips that would leave the bottom edge open so that one could dock the tablet without taking it off, so I was excited to try it out. My initial feelings are very positive.
It's PU leather, so while not top grain, it's still pretty supple and smooth. The leather is also slightly padded, so the case is comfortable to hold. The reinforced edges are crisp and straight, so there's not a lot of give or bend. The interior is a soft, padded microfiber. The foam is pretty firm, so it seems like it might retain its shape fairly well.
Structurally, the tablet is held in by two clips on each side, one each holding the top corners (when in landscape) and the main clip about 2/5 of the way down each side. On the bottom corners, there are clips, but they're more like corner protectors as they're there to guide the tablet when the case is closed.
Setting the tablet in the first two grooves felt good. The furthest groove which puts the screen in the flattest position though doesn't hold very well. This is because the rounded back of the tablet near the edge doesn't let it sit all the way into the groove. This doesn't bother me though since I don't see myself wanting to use it that flat. It actually sits nicely on my lap in the middle groove, so it's nice to be able to prop up the tablet without having to rely upon the dock.
Speaking of which, swinging the bottom edge of the tablet away from the case allows it to easily connect to the dock. Before receiving the case, I wondered whether the clip that holds it closed would get in the way. In actuality, it props up the keyboard rather well -- the keyboard rests flat between being propped up on the clip and because of the way the dock hinge props up the rear of the keyboard. Alternatively, the case cover folds back out of the way easily as well, and kind of works to support the screen a little bit. This configuration is probably better suited for a desk vs. one's lap, but I'll have to experiment a little bit.
I'm interested to see how I like using it over time, but for right now, this case has potential. I was worried about the clips: whether they'd be too weak (they're not) and whether they'd prevent the case from folding flat (they don't). I like that they hold the tablet securely in place, without the need to have the bezel surrounded/covered by leather.
The overall look resembles a small notebook/portfolio and the branding is understated -- just an embossed rooCASE logo in the lower right.
It seems like the case will protect the tablet from accidental bumps and bruises, give it a sleek appearance and quench my thirst for a higher end case until Noreve or Piel Frama attempt to separate me from my money. We'll have to see how durable it winds up being -- right now, the surface seems to repel light scratches pretty well.
Overall, for $30 I'm pretty pleased. And it comes with a small capacitive stylus, that connects to the tablet via a small plastic plug that fits into the 3.5mm jack. Shipping was via USPS and took just two days from CA to the east coast.
Lots of pics to follow.
More pics.
Last two.
(I promise, Mods)
And to complete it all, here's the link: http://amzn.com/B0058DLAA8
Can't wait for mine to arrive!
Mine came in yesterday as well. I am extremely happy with it, I did not anticipate being able to dock it with the case on, so all the best. The bundled stylus from roocase is just the cherry on top!
damn thats nice
It's great news that there's finally a decent case that you don't have to remove in order to be able to dock with the keyboard. Hopefully more manufacturers start making cases in this design.
EDIT: Hmm I have a theory... if you buy one of those cases with velcro at the bottom, could you theoretically dock it without taking off the case by just unattaching the velcro? Can anyone confirm or deny?
Can you fold it up in the dock with the case on?

This is the first case I have seen that uses clips to hold the Transformer, instead of a leather or fabric frame of some sort. I was beginning to think there weren't any out there. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for the review, I was waiting to see if you could plug the dock with the case on..

The Acase one is eligible for Amazon Prime. It can be in my grubby paws tomorrow.
Just received one.
I originally bought the regular multi-angle roocase version. As soon as this slim-fat was announced, I unloaded that one and pre-order this one.
They delayed the shipment for 1 week but refunded my $5 shipping charge (nice). I like this slim-fat version a lot. It's the best case I've seen (I need some protection, but I really hate to cover-up the beauty of the Tab).
Received mine today. I echo everything that the OP noted. Very nice and exactly what I was looking for.
I just ordered the $18.95 Poetic one with free shipping. I can wait a few days and save $16
I have a cheapy $12 case now from ebay. Gets the job done, but with my ghetto cutting of the area around the light sensor and front camera, it looks just a wee bit unprofessional.
Thank you for the informative review. You may have just convinced me to buy a second case.
I already have this on order it shipped out yesterday so I'm hoping it arrives soon, and after your review and all the great pics. I hope it comes even faster now. Thanks for your time in making this, good info.

I unfortunately do not have that kind of patience. Case ordered and overnighted. My TF will finally have a case that doesn't hide it.
Mine arrived today too. OP is spot on - this is a great case; clean lines, excellent fit and looks sharp.
There is no slot at the bottom to connect to the charger, so to charge it, I have to lay it face up w/ the cover open.

[Case][Review]: Quick review for TPU Case from TPU-Cases Matte Black

Hi all, I know there aren't too many ATT specific cases out there yet, but I did want to do a quick review of the one that I ordered from TPU-cases (I got mine off ebay, but they have a regular site as well).
The one specifically I got was the Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case.
Overall, the case quality is solid -- compared to other TPU cases I've had in the past. It's solid enough to provide basic protection, but not too flexible (like silicon) that you have to worry about it stretching and losing its shape over time.
I opted for the matte black version, but I believe that there are other types to whatever fits your fancy. (I think the matte was/is so popular, it may be out of stock).
The other nice thing is that they throw in a free screen protector. It's a decent clear one (not anti-glare), which is my preference. It's not on par of the quality of let's say a Realook or a SGP, but for free, who's going to complain?
So on to the case review...
1. I've attached a few photos to show the overall fit of the case. It fits well, and doesn't add much thickness to the case at all (which is a huge plus for me).
2. There is a little bit of a "lip" on the front, so it you do place your phone face down on a table, it leaves enough gap to protect the screen (as opposed to laying completely flat).
3. There is a decent size cut out for the power button, but the volume rockers are actually covered. However, no functionality loss on the power buttons -- in fact I think they may actually make it easier to use.
4. There is a cutout for where a lanyard hole should be -- (aka the international version), but no biggie here.
5. On the bottom, standard cutouts for the microusb port and the primary mic.
6. For the back, nice cutouts for the camera and the speaker on the lower right.
Now for the million $$$ question -- is the top aligned correctly for the secondary noise cancellation mic???
Fortunately the answer is YES! I believe this case was originally made for the international version (evidence from the lanyard hole), but the designer -- either in a stroke of pure genius and foresight (or just plain laziness) made the top cutout for the mic large enough where it does not cover the off-center version of our mic. So it looks like it could accommodate either the international or ATT version of the SGSII. I've tried to get a close up of the top so that you can see what I am talking about.
Overall -- for a shade under $9 USD for a nice looking/fitting case and a screen protector - I would say it's a great deal.
As I mentioned earlier, unfortunately it looks like the matte version is out of stock, but the other versions should be just as good.
Site: http://goo.gl/U4KHI (main site) or you can check ebay under the seller "TPU-cases" -- http://goo.gl/kNzh1 (ebay store)
UPDATE: I didn't realize they also have an Amazon storefront, so it's available from several sources: http://goo.gl/ltQnW
I have the same exact case for my international sgs2. It's pretty good, though some micro usb cables don't work with it.
Edit: got mine from their amazon storefront.

Exact same case. Bought from Amazon for 10 bucks, prime shipping. Costly for tpu, but it had cuts for top mic as well. Fits perfectly.

I bought this along with the gloss black. I am using the gloss black as I think that it looks better (my opinion) as this matt one looks a little worn out of the box. This is only my opinion.
I was just checking out these cases on amazon and i wonder, is this the closest thing to the flexible TPU case that bodyglove made for the Captivate? It sounds like you may have had the same case for your previous phone, how does it compare?
For those who are wondering, this is the old case http://www.amazon.com/Body-Glove-Mirage-Samsung-Captivate/dp/B0040M7H96. If bodyglove made the same exact thing that fit the GS2 i would buy it in a heartbeat!
If these cases are the closest thing available i might just have to get one to see for myself. How do you like the case now that you've had it for a little while?

Actually I did have the BodyGlove case for my Captivate since it was one of the first decent cases to come out. I am not sure if you had this issue or not, but I have some scratches at the top of my phone (small ones though), but I do believe it was caused by the BodyGlove case (perhaps a little too rough on the inside).
But as for the overall material of the case -- yes, the BodyGlove case is also TPU, which is the same material. The only difference is the BodyGlove was solid black with some texturized ridges, and this case is matte black (but they also come in semi-transparent -- just comes down to your choice in visual aesthetics).
If you liked the material of the BodyGlove, then I think you'd be happy with this one as well.
i have this same case, its nice
Ditto, great case for the money. Switched to a mesh cover though as I find it's a bit sleeker, but keeping this as backup.
Love this case...

Pricey as well. Would like the b&n covers with the snap on holder instead of the flap holder. Anybody find one at a discount?
I have the "Leather writer's cover" from B&N for my NT. It's really nice. The thing I like about the official covers are that the mounts are solid and non-intrusive. I can carry it around like a book. It looks (& feels) as nice in person as it does in the B&N photos.
The third party covers don't have those solid mounts, they have either cheap straps for the corners or have leather that cover all of the bezels.
Btw, I had a "Canvas writer's cover" before, for my Nook color. It wasn't bad, didn't feel as good as the leather, and was slightly heavier. Kinda felt like rubber coated canvas, whereas the leather cover just feels like normal leather.
Currently imlooking for something like the lautner case on BN. With the magnetic clasp

Actually oldsv6, can you tell me if the speaker is blocked or if there is like a gap so the sound isn't muffled. Also how tight is the grip of the case? I want put a skin over my nook and hopefully it will still fit in the case. Thanks.
It was not on Targets website but store by me had all three colors. This is no opening for the speakers, however, there is a space near the usb and it acts like a port for sound. The sound level is only stlighly decreased if any.
I think I will have to go with one of the BN official cases sigh.

YMMV, but Best Buy in store is selling a Black M-Edge Go! Jacket model for $15 on clearance . I picked up one today. A couple of caveats though...
First, there is no hole in the back so the speakers are covered. If you are using the headphones that's not much of a problem since all other ports are available.
Second the fit is VERY tight, so getting the unit in and out easily is a problem. Once in it's super nice and snug, but I tend to like to remove the tablets from their cases when using most of the time. I am actually going to perform surgery on my case and remove the part along the top so I can slide my tablet in and out easily. The rubber back on the tablet and velvety insides should hold everything in fine by friction. At the price I think it's not a bad gamble to modify it...

I tried two M-Edge cases for Nook Color/Tablet, but they both covered the speaker, so the audio was muffled. They also covered the mic hole at the top edge, so if you want to use the mic, you have to take the device out of the case. However I do like their constructs - compact, slim and solid.

AARRGUS, please post it when you find out how to drill/punch holes on the back cover to allow the audio come out. I like the case but it covers the speaker and the mic (at the top).
So I just received the Lautner case and Ill give it a quick review
the faux leather isnt as nice as i was expecting for a 35 dollar cover, but its clean, the clips are sturdy and the magnet is nice.
B
found one on ebay that acts as a stand for portrait mode, pretty cheap around 10 dollars or so.
its called Premium PU leather Stand case Pouch Cover For Nook Tablet E-reader, sold by everydaysource, can i get some feedback on this product from you guys? thanks!
I purchased the Brunel cover in Iron from BN (I can't post links as of yet).
I like it a lot. The clips are very sturdy and the magnet keeps it closed. It can be propped up for viewing in landscape mode. The pocket on the inside of the cover flap is also handy. You do need to take it out of the cover in order to access the sd card. Audio sounds fine/clear while in the cover.
I haven't scuffed the leather yet, it's been tossed in and out of my purse for the past few days (got the NookTab this past Tuesday).

I picked up the notebooks in a 3 pack with a thick paper cover and they slip in with a bit of trimming to one cover. I can't remember exactly what their called but you'll see them if you go into a BN store and check out the Moleskine rack. It's good for doodling or taking down notes.
I had the canvas cover before this and when I used it at a coffee shop, it picked up the cookie grease/oil from the table top and stained permanently. The leather option is much better.
slim case
I need a real slim case. One of the things I love about the Book is how I can slip into a pants pocket. The bulky cases at BN make this impossible. Anybody find a slim case with front flap?
I got the Tasume cover from B&N...its rather pricey at $50, but it's nice. It tri-folds over the screen for good protection, and the flaps fold origami-syle to prop the tablet up in either portrait or landscape.

Silicone Case for Transformer Prime

Found a good one here, hopefully will generate enough interest to make it happen.

I'm so surprised no one is making these. It was a must have for my TF101. Now that I have the TF201, It feels naked and vulnerable.
I hope this gets made by someone soon. Like I said, it feels naked without the rubber skin protection.

Expect it for the new Transformer Pads, not going to see many more accessories for the old discontinued Prime.

Stop spreading misinformation, the Prime is not discontinued.
The new Transformer tablets consist of a budget model designed to replace the original Transformer (and with reduced specs & features to match) and a more expensive "premium" tablet with a higher res display and a price to match. The Prime will continue to be the "mainstream" model for at least the next year.
The main reason there are so few accessories for the Prime, is that people don't know if it will sell well so they don't bother pre-making accessories like they do for the iPad. If you follow the release of the Xoom of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 you will see that in the first few months 3rd party accessories for those specific tablets were also very sparse.

The Transleeve was garbage. It has an 80% failure rate, as in: it fell apart in people's hands during normal usage. Also it has the unfortunately tendency to physically damage every Tablet it was used with.
Hopefully Asus will release an updated version that fixes these problems.
However that doesn't mean that the Transformer Prime tablet has been discontinued. There is no evidence and until you provide me a link to Asus explicitly stating that the tablet is disco'ed stop spreading misinformation.
Incidentally, the TP300 and TP700 both use identical mounting ports to the TF Prime, so any future versions of screen protectors like the Transleeve should be backwards compatible with the Prime since all tablets have the same size screen. Perhaps they discontinued the Transleeve because they have a better accessory set to be released with these new additions to the Transformer Pad line.
This is what I want.
A little thinner mind you, but a silicone case is my desire.
Sighz, I used to have a very nice case for my samsung galaxy s2. Silicone inside, hard case outside. It was totally AWESOME! See this ->
ebay.com.sg/itm/Black-Orange-Silicone-Combo-Case-Cover-Samsung-Galaxy-S2-I9100-/190612983403?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item2c616b4e6b
It looks cool and doesn't scratch your phone at all!
Some are hard cover inside, and silicone outside - i had them for my iphone but it scratched my iphone! See this -> ebay.com.sg/itm/Hard-Case-w-Soft-Skin-Rubber-Silicone-Cover-iPhone-3G-3GS-Black-Orange-/140680538736?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20c136aa70
Thus I'm hesitant about getting a gumdrop case for my prime, because the hardcase is on the inside while the silicone is outside.
CAN SOMEONE MAKE THE FIRST ONE FOR THE TRANSFORMER PRIME??!! DON'T MIND PAYING MORE FOR IT! HAHAHA
I too want a TPU case for my Prime and am disappointed one has not been released yet. I have seen the androidtablet thread gauging interest in a silicone case, and I might buy one of these for use in rugged conditions, but it appears they would be thick and I want a thin one for daily use and much prefer tpu to thick rubbery silicone.
I currently have the next best thing to a tpu case and that is the roocase dual view leather case. It is two pieces - one is a sleeve that protects the back, sides, and bezel like a silicone or tpu case would. The other part is a folding case that attaches to the sleeve with velcro and will allow it to stand in portrait or landscape and at various angles. I don't use that part much, though, since I prefer cheap, sturdy universal tablet stands (about $6 on ebay) and have them at work and home, so don't need to carry the external part of the roocase.
With the roocase sleeve and a screen protector, the thing is well protected and I can throw it in my (large) lunchbox or a pocket (in a scottevest vest or jacket - yes I am a _real_ nerd and own these) and not worry about dropping or scratching it. The leather of the roocase sleeve is thicker than a tpu or thin silicone case would be, although it looks like it is smaller than a thick silicone case such as the guy on androidtablets is proposing.
It is a pita that the leather of the roocase sleeve protrudes more than it needs to and makes the power button hard to reach. Plus it makes the Prime almost an inch larger in both height and width and almost doubles the thickness. So, yes, I really want a tpu case like everyone else but the roocase sleeve is the only substitute there is for now.
Gumdrop case
You guys should google gumdrop case tf201, they are starting production and will start shipping April 16.
The Gumdrop is cool but way to much case for me
