Yes. To let you know, your data will be deleted when you flash the generic firmware with flashtool. That will debrand the phone

cyanogen mod on the x10?
is it possible to run cyanogen mod on the x10 or whats another good 2.3 rom for the x10.

I'm confused what to do with this tool
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App

This is for putting on the 2.1 firmware to debrand the phone. do that much in the how to then when the phone is debrand, we can talk about 2.3.

Read the how to a few times til it makes sense

This is difficult... I never had to go through this much trouble with my htc evo..what exactly am I supposed to be doing. I'm a noob at this.. I keep getting errors
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App

Ok, first want firmware did you pick to flash? Pick that much and I will tell you where out goes in the flashtool folders.
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App

I thought it was difficult, until I flashed my phone, same model from at&t. Extremely easy! Follow YouTube video tutorials, you shouldn't have a problem. What I described is what I did, and it WORKS! Not perfect, but much better than it was as a branded at&t phone. Plus, Gingerbread should be released soon!
Make sure before you flash, mobile is FULLY CHARGED! Otherwise, you shouldn't have a problem. If you do, you can use SEUS or PC Companion.

so you put the ftf file in the firmware folder right?
So you know how to put the phone in flashmode?
Did you install the phone with the computer. It asks to install something if you haven't yet when you hook the phone up to usb.
Or the firmware was a bad download

Have you run SEUS or PC Companion hooked up to your x10 at least once before? That should install the drivers.
Also, I heard this works for XP SP3... Try starting your computer in safe mode and installing the usb drivers manually by going into the "usb drivers" folder where you saved the Flash Tool on your computer and double clicking on the exe file.
OMG dude you are the best work flawlessly in safe mode you are a lifesaver I was literally ripping my hair out at this,I will defs give you +1 for this

SEUS it and then try again.
Root, unlock, flash new kernel and then the new ROM.
Re download the ftf probably corrupt in some way.
if you used the new CM 7.1 then the kernel that comes with it is broken. Wait for the kernal to be fixed.

No history
I got it from one girl and i dont think that she tryed to unlock it, facebook is nasa for her, so i dont know any history of phone!
Proper .FTF file, Flashtool and try reinstalling fully stock firmware.
it looks we have a big problem in here, the main problem is the user doesn't know what's the phone's condition in the first place
The secondary problem is the user doesn't talk about it
Sorry ones again
First i'm sorry "yujin_11" got feeling i dont want to cooperate.
Second, i tryed flashtool and did not help me! there is log of it!
Third, can you please tell me what is "Proper .FTF file" and how to use it?

Sure you switched touchscreen and LCD properly, connecting all wires/connections correctly, not damaging any parts?
Well yes!
I think yes, but wouldn't led work if i rooined new touch? Or wouldnt it vibrate? I'm just confused cause all things are like it's dead but flashing tools are acting like it's working!
Same Problem
I have a same problem with my Ray.
I used EmoTR MIUI http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671250
and it was still working good and stable. I went to the toilet and cameback for a while and my screen is no light. I took the battery off and on. After that, no led, no screen, no power like him. When i press home button, it vibrated too hard.
I also try relock bootloader and update with sony updating service but it is still not working.
Help me, please

After having re-upgraded the stockfirmwares, and i tried to touch the screen. Fortunately, i realised that the phones is now working with haptic feedback but the screen light and LED got problems with nothing display. Is this a hardware problem or a software one?
Hardware!
It must be somthing on mainboard between flash chip and bootloader or processor chip, i did not find solution! Hopefuly JET!

AW: [Q] help my x10 stuck
connect in flashmode means you shall plug it while pressing back button.
uhm did you try to boot it up?
was there an app called "superuser"? if yes, all is good, if you stuck at sonyericsson logo, you just download seus (sony ericsson update service, google for it) and start it up and search x10, then follow instructions. Then you do rootin the easy way: download flashtool bý bin4ry, the one in all tool for our x10, and install it. plug your device with usbdebugging on and click root, follow instructions and then you will be rooted.

If you want to root, use superoneclick v2.3.3 google it. Make sure u got the 2.3.3 version of soc. Lots easier.

he send me a pm and i explained seperately so this should be cleared now... im just wondering why he doesnt answer like thank you and so on.
I used superoneclick and had massive problems with flashing afterwards. It was the first time, since then i always did it with flashtool. seems to me to be better. and in fact it isnt more than a click with flashtool so it is definitely not easier with soc.
