AW: [Q] help my x10 stuck
connect in flashmode means you shall plug it while pressing back button.
uhm did you try to boot it up?
was there an app called "superuser"? if yes, all is good, if you stuck at sonyericsson logo, you just download seus (sony ericsson update service, google for it) and start it up and search x10, then follow instructions. Then you do rootin the easy way: download flashtool bý bin4ry, the one in all tool for our x10, and install it. plug your device with usbdebugging on and click root, follow instructions and then you will be rooted.

he send me a pm and i explained seperately so this should be cleared now... im just wondering why he doesnt answer like thank you and so on.
I used superoneclick and had massive problems with flashing afterwards. It was the first time, since then i always did it with flashtool. seems to me to be better. and in fact it isnt more than a click with flashtool so it is definitely not easier with soc.

Have you run SEUS or PC Companion hooked up to your x10 at least once before? That should install the drivers.
Also, I heard this works for XP SP3... Try starting your computer in safe mode and installing the usb drivers manually by going into the "usb drivers" folder where you saved the Flash Tool on your computer and double clicking on the exe file.
OMG dude you are the best work flawlessly in safe mode you are a lifesaver I was literally ripping my hair out at this,I will defs give you +1 for this

Yes. To let you know, your data will be deleted when you flash the generic firmware with flashtool. That will debrand the phone

is it possible to run cyanogen mod on the x10 or whats another good 2.3 rom for the x10.

This is for putting on the 2.1 firmware to debrand the phone. do that much in the how to then when the phone is debrand, we can talk about 2.3.

I thought it was difficult, until I flashed my phone, same model from at&t. Extremely easy! Follow YouTube video tutorials, you shouldn't have a problem. What I described is what I did, and it WORKS! Not perfect, but much better than it was as a branded at&t phone. Plus, Gingerbread should be released soon!
Make sure before you flash, mobile is FULLY CHARGED! Otherwise, you shouldn't have a problem. If you do, you can use SEUS or PC Companion.

so you put the ftf file in the firmware folder right?
So you know how to put the phone in flashmode?
Did you install the phone with the computer. It asks to install something if you haven't yet when you hook the phone up to usb.
Or the firmware was a bad download

Just like the title said i brick my x10 yesterday by installing the wrong version of MIUI on my x10. When i saw that the rom wasn't working i decide to go into the xrecovery menu and i dont know why i just delete everything from the phone: Full wipe, Wipe dalvik cache and wipe partition. After that when i wanted to get my backup from my WB rom it just didn't work i had a error that my sd card couldn't be read by the phone (it said that the ressource and a nother thing was busy) It wasn't the first time that it happen to me. The last time it was simple i had android 2.1 i use pc companion to upgrade my phone to 2.3.3, but now IT'S NOT WORKING. Don't know what i did but i cannot go into xrecovery anymore it stuck at sony ericsson screen and pc companion when i click on repair it said that there's no new software for me and to try later AND update service said that I already have the lastest version of android so it can update it for me.
What can i do ? i'm thinking that i can do problamy something with flashtool, but i dont know where to start, please help me guys. THX
Use flashtool to flash a complete firmware package. There is a guide in the stickys
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
Alright i'll try it out and tell you if it work thx
I'm Bricked!
I tried to update official 2.3.3 from SEUS and fails at end of process.
I've tried flashtool and many roms and always same result: Looks good during flash to 99% then fail
I got Bin4ry and Androxyde Flashtool (Recent version) and it looked like it would work, but no. Ended same way. Re-booting brick and this message in Flashtool:
08/048/2012 20:48:49 - ERROR - (X10flash.java:255) - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="MEMORY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="HASH_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Final data verification failed";
I tried to use some of the fix it firmware and got this message:
08/022/2012 21:22:53 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
My other X10 took generic 2.3.4 last summer without any problems. Could antivirus on x10 be causing this?
How to rescue please?
try disabling the antivirus
or download another firmware and try it
A quick Q: Can you go back to stock rom (like using PC Companion) or are does it not connect to PC Companion ?
Kind regards
/Johan
btdt
I tried PC companion unsuccessfully many times. Both repair and update fail. I've tried about eight different firmware's now and always the same result it fails at 99%.
I can't disable the antivirus or do anything with the phone because it is brick. It will not boot up at all beyond SE and error icon. An interesting sidenote is that the error icon only shows up properly when I attempt to flash Rogers branded 2.1.1 firmware.
I meant try disabling antivirus on your pc
Your phone boots upto SE screen means its not bricked
It doesn't go as far as the animation logo. I get Sony Ericsson in white letters and then I get a picture with an ! in a triangle over top of a dead phone. I don't see how disabling antivirus on the computer would make any difference because there are no alerts.

Ive had that situation before,a triangle and a blue arrow pointing down to a phone. All I can remember is it took me a few hours to fix,and it may have been doomlords easy rooting kit that fixed it

I meant that I thought perhaps the antivirus software on the phone originally before my first attempt to flash it.

No nothin on phone can prevent flashing.
I've tried almost everything.....
I tried Nordic Flashtool and at end when I power on phone, I get a slightly different looking error icon than the one I'm used to seeing.
I ran the SEUS again and got messed up error picture. I ran regular flashtool by Bin4ry and Androxyde and still no love.
Here is error log in case somebody can decypher what it means...

Sorry for my spelling, I am from Poland
SEUS it and then try again.
Root, unlock, flash new kernel and then the new ROM.
Re download the ftf probably corrupt in some way.
if you used the new CM 7.1 then the kernel that comes with it is broken. Wait for the kernal to be fixed.

uninstall seus and install again to reinstall your drivers so your flash tool can recognise your phone?
did the same but doesnt work
Does SEUS recognise your phone?
Is your phone working?
here is a tip, but only do this if all solution didn't work.
just restart your computer although it is recommended not to close flashtool while flashing your device.
for me, this method is useful. i encounter several times with the same problem like your, so i just reboot my laptop, then continue at which step i stuck, in your case continue to upgrade step.
hope this can help you...
ps: don't forget hit the thanks button if i help you .. XD
