It showed as credit towards my account but they shipped it anyways.
You guys are looking for a reason but the reason is either west coast or overload.

Well I am in the same boat as everyone else that order technically on the 20th before Midnight central time....all day I have been checking myorder status and each time has been the same with "order in process"....then I logged into my account and checked order history and seen my order cancelled and then reprocessed later on the 21st....Just checked minutes ago to see if there has been any update since plenty people who ordered after me seem to be getting their orders with tracking # and low and behold my order has been updated with a tracking # that guarantees it by 3pm tomorrow.......I live in Wisconsin so the myth about East coast only seems to be wrong too, at least that a myth i read about...

i got in early so the 1st with a date of 6/20/11 says canceled but right under that it says 6/21/11 and it has the price for the evo 3d.
i did get the email that it has been shipped and that it should be here by the end of the day tom.
so i expect the phone to be here, if its not here tom, then i will be calling sprint and having a little talk with them.
if a mistake was made by someone and they posted the phone on the site the day before then they should allow it and "satisfy" the customer.
but im not worried.
i would imagine they would have emailed me if the order was canceled and not on the way.

i have done it before with a problem i had when i had the mogul and i got the touch pro for free without using my upgrade...
but, like i said. im not worried. and the end of the day this is just a phone and while i will enjoy messing with it ( mostly dirty 3d pictures and videos) i do have a new evo i got after i my original evo crapped out on me.

Well this sucks ass! I ordered after 11 mountain time last night and all my order dates show the 21st but I have the same cancelled item as previously mentioned. It does show processing just beneath it, but what do you know, the online order number is now closed. Crap!

i got a $22 credit from them for the errors so far. and i'll be going back for more if i don't receive tracking info. least that covers tax, and $8 more, and it'll match what i was paying wirefly with next day air.

Mine just says, order in progress. Ordered mine 2327 on 20th.

BuyMobilePhones caution?

I have ordered a T-Mobile upgrade thru BuyMobilePhones.net. Having never heard of the company before I was a little cautious. They do however have one of the best deals I've found for my situation:
600 mins
500 texts
500mb internet
18 months
£30 a month
19.99 for the phone
The closest mobiles.co.uk have got is £35/m and £50 for the phone. And as its an upgrade I don't have to fanny about changing my number over which is a Brucey bonus.

I rang on bank holiday Monday and spoke to a bloke who basically said he cant do anything today as its a BH and he would be on the phone to T-Mobile for too long and he took my details and would call back Tuesday. 'Hmmmmm' I thought, and agreed.
I got a bit antsy in my pantsy so rang back an hour later. I spoke to another bloke who took my details and said he'd ring back in ten mins after speaking to T-Mobile, he took the telephone password for my account (the one you tell the operator when you ring up), I was a bit apprehensive but gave it too him anyway (I have changed it now). He rang back after about 20 mins and said its gone through and I should expect delivery on Wednesday. I said goodbye but was still suspicions.
I then rang T-Mobile an hour later and asked if there had been any changes to my account. They told me a dealer rang up questioning an upgrade to a Motorola Milestone but nothing had been put through. I rang back BMP.net but they had all gone home.
So I rang them today(Tuesday) and spoke to the same bloke and he said they have to put it through as a milestone to get the best deal. 'Fair play', I thought, but the big question is will I still get it tomorrow (Wednesday). He told me that he thought there would be enough stock in for my order but there may not be and I may actually get it Thursday.
I have just rang up T-Mobile (Tuesday 18:20) to ask if any upgrades had been put through on my account and they said 'No'. I will call BMP.net a call tomorrow (Wednesday) at 09:00 to chase it up again.

I had a 'mare with Buy Mobile Phones a while back. Ordered a new phone, they dicked me about, finally sent it, when it arrived the box was open, so I sent it back and they told me they wouldn't accept it because the phone was 'used'.
I had to scream, shout and threaten them with the office of fair trade before they'd even concede that it was them that opened it (or someone previously); and even then they gave me the old 'as an act of good faith' line. They are, without doubt, the murkiest phone shop I've ever used.
I wouldn't trust them any further than I could push them with my piss.

I ordered it 'new' despite being eligable for an upgrade with t-mobile. A new number for the specified deal appeared on my existing account ( a couple of my kids also have t-mobile contracts on my account) on Saturday along with the dispatch e-mail.
Therefore all looks OK.

I ordered on 11th of April and my order was 'processing' until Saturday.
This was a new order.
Status is now that it is on the delivery van. Unfortunately I won't be there to receive it today and touch and go whether there will be anybody at home at all, so may have to wait an extra day.
Just had an email response to say that they have a massive backlog of orders for the galaxy s 2 and that is the reason for the delay in processing my order.

thats probably the day THEY receive it. legally they cant give it to you until the 19th.
Does your order status from BB say that the case and phone are backordered? I hope I didn't preorder it too late to where I'll be delayed in receiving mine longer than the earlier orders.

Sometimes our computers show two dates. One is listed as an in-stock date, and the other is listed as a street date. This is commonly set to prevent someone from selling a phone/game/anything earlier than intended by the manufacturer.

I was just wondering if the other BB preorders are currently showing the same backordered status as mine is. There's about a one-week window where people have been placing their orders (my order being on the latter end), so it's not out of the question that BB has ran out of their allotment for their initial shipments.
I can also understand how since these are preorders (and therefore not in stock), that BB would therefore indicate the status of the item as on backorder until they're allowed to ship them out on or around the 17th.
Either way, I'm fine with whatever the outcome is and am not expecting any magical early shipment.

I wasn't responding to your post and I wasn't being sarcastic. BB and AT&T made it pretty clear when the phone would be shipped/sold. I wouldn't expect any email after the order confirmation until it ships or is canceled from lack of funds.
It actually isn't unheard of for preorders to ship/arrive a day or two early.

I pre-ordered from sprint and called them about 8 times trying to cancel so i could pre order from wirefly. ALL of them said i cant, only until its ABOUT to ship out then i can cancel it...
6 out of 8 of them kept saying how they dont have a date but its getting to the warehouse to be packaged on may 16th.
I doubt we will get it before the 18th. It will prob ship the 16th and come 2 days later in the mail on the 18th. =/

When I called to confirm my ID for my order on Monday, he said preorders would be guaranteed delivery the day of or 1 day before the release date (depending on location). This seems to fall in line with that so I'm happy
who knows with them, just talked to my friend at the corp store on the campus and she said this to me

Yea, I had gone into Sprint to talk to them about it and what they had said was it would arrive one day before or on the release day. However, with the iPhone 4s, they had so many pre-orders that they had arrived one day after launch day, so we will just have to wait and see.
With the Galaxy Nexus, it launched on a Sunday, and people had them in hand on Friday and Saturday. They usually do a pretty good job of trying to get them out before the official release date.
I know Best Buy and a couple other 3rd party retailers said they weren't going to release before the 18th, but I don't mind the wait. It'll give me a few more days with my EVO before I turn it into a dev phone

I am curious about this too. What i really want to know is if they will leave the package if I am not home at delivery. I would hate for it to get sent to a distribution center with weird hours and delay getting my hands on this thing.
Anyone ask sprint about this? I may call and ask a few questions if nobody did already.

No problem. Also FYI while I was on the phone with Sprint I asked about my activation fee and he initially said that I would have to pay it. I explained that I ordered through sprint even though I could have gotten the phone much cheaper through a 3rd party and I would appreciate it if they would wave the fee to help offset the cost difference. He put me on hold for 1 minute and said the activation fee has been waved.
When I pre-ordered with Sprint, all I had to pay for, besides the phone, was shipping. No sales tax and no activation fee. The only thing that upset me was they wouldn't let me upgrade my line. I'm eligible 6/1, from when I bought my 3D. They wanted me to pay full price or wait. I then told I'd upgrade another line. I was looking at my account on line and told then the phone number for my Airave. He checked the eligibility and congratulated me. I couldn't believe it.

Sprint's warehouse and shipping are all managed by UPS. Their warehouse is literally at the end of the runway where the plane takes off. My Evo 3d preorder shipped at 12:30 am and I received it the same day it went on the plane. There is a video on UPS's website about this.

Many people who pre ordered the EVO 3D received the phone before release date. I remember being jealous and wishing I ordered through sprint instead of best buy. I don't see why the LTE would be any different. I'm planning/hoping to receive the phone next Wednesday or Thursday as they typically do overnight shipping.

I think it says back order because its a pre-order? Not sure?
But release is not until 5/18 so.... I hope it ships that day because I have 5/22 off from work.
It says free activation for new lines... but when I ordered as an upgrade it said Sprint would charge me $36 activation. I called Sprint retention department and complained about their lack of lte, etc and got a credit to my account and a promise to waive the activation fee
To get free overnight shipping just email amazon and ask nicely. Include your order #. They were really cool about it.
The $36 fee waiving is for new lines only, not upgrades.
And don't worry about the backorder note, Amazon told me that's just a placeholder type deal. They told me that that all pre orders are on track to ship by 5/18.
My estimated delivery date is the 5/21.

I made a promise to myself to never do that again, so my next HTC phone will definitively be via Amazon for sure.

Thanks man, I'm going to try this out! I just hope to get it before Memorial day weekend since I'll be out for almost a week. Hopefully my preorder is on track since I ordered a few hours ago lol
Edit: Can confirm this works!
I just cancelled my order from Wirefly and placed one with Amazon. I was in early with Wirefly on 5/7, but they would never give me a straight answer of when or if it would ship soon.
Amazon did say I should have it by 5/22. Not sure whether I believe that or not, but at least they are giving me a date. I also noticed they gave me a free car charger once I placed my order. That was a nice surprise.

Yep they are giving a free car charger to everyone. Can never have enough of those generic USB chargers.
In all honesty, I doubt the Customs thing is going to affect pre-orders that much. Most of those phones have probably been in the country for at least a few days.
Those customs batches are for units not yet sold, I suspect.

Same thing for me; I'm curious if anyone who requested the overnight shipping has seen a change on their order status. (IE: Arrival Date: 5/21)

Amazon often plays by its own rules. So I wouldn't be completely shocked to see them ship out preoders if they were able to get their batch. I know Sprint would prohibit them from doing this, but how effective could they be?

I had it change a while ago. My status still says this when you go to view order:
Shipping Estimate: May 18, 2012
Delivery Estimate: May 21, 2012
Shipping Speed: FREE One-Day Shipping
Interesting because I got a completely different response!

Just got my response back for the change in shipping. My order has been updated and says it will ship on the 18th and be received on the 21st. I figure Amazon will join the delay alongside everyone else, but they are taking their time getting that info to their customers, so I wonder if they will do anything about that... they are generally good with their customer service. I don't mind waiting if it comes to that.
Yeah I'm trying to keep my expectations low so I don't get disappointed but I'm hoping they already had some stock onhand before it went to backorder status and are still sending those who had preordered their phones on time.
On a related note, I did email again and requested for one-day delivery instead of the free two-day shipping that they automatically give you and score!

My EVO is NOT Out for Delivery...

For those of you who pre-ordered and whose orders aren't out for delivery (not being delivered today), what's your story?
I pre-ordered 5/7 around 2PM central time.
My tracking number shows delivery in Lexington.
I've received no shipping email from Sprint. My order status says "in progress".
I called Sprint and they said my phone just says it's "back-ordered".
Let's cry on each others' shoulders.
Theories:
1.) Sprint didn't keep enough stock on-hand to fulfill all pre-orders.
2.) Warehouse workers collapsed from exhaustion yesterday evening and not all phones were shipped out together. They'll ship today and we'll have them tomorrow.
3.) God hates us.

99.999% of the time this will actually update will all the info once it's actually scanned for the actual delivery.
However.... *if* you're in that .001% for which this isn't the case.. and your status hasn't updated by 4 or 5 today, send me a message, as we have an internal process setup as of today to handle these 'super expedited' and to bypass the 'backorder' status that you'll get if you go through a regular process to have it corrected/resent. Remember, this is for those rare scenarios only, please, I don't want to send 50 people to process, LOL... but i do expect a couple *may* need it.
so give it some hours.. but if you need it, there is an expedited process in place to handle these issues and still get you a device asap.

I got that email the first day of the pre-orders, because they needed to get some more information from me in order to port my number over from T-Mobile. For the duration of the pre-sale I had no order status and Gordon Ramsays method to see order details showed my phone as back ordered. I got various answers from Sprint's CSRs, but most indicated that my order was processing normally (I was pretty worried that something was screwed up with my order since I know better than to trust those guys). I got the MY UPS notification yesterday, and my order status finally updated with a tracking number and changed from back order to "in progress." Phone was delivered about an hour ago.
Just got off the phone with UPS, they said even though the website did now show my package was out for delivery, she confirmed it was placed on the truck this morning and is indeed out for delivery!!!! Going outside to wait now! LOL

i ordered mine the 15th, just an hour before they shut off the pre-order part and got mine today at 350pm
I got that also, I even had an e-mail at one point from the "My UPS" thing showing that it would arrive between 3:30 and 7 today, but it then showed it as delivered to Kentucky yesterday (it had my address to begin with)
same thing for me too. nothing on my end either. they changed my info too.
The worst part of all though is that I have no idea what is going on. Even people who ordered from best buy are getting their phones first and here we are without any idea what is going on. If I at least knew if it was coming tomorrow I can plan for it (I don't want it sitting on the porch all day for someone to walk off with), but as it is, I don't know what to do!
I think the effects of the customs thing is still screwing things up. Sprint believed they had enough phones to meet initial pre-order demand but they don't. Best buy stores aren't getting enough for their pre-orders. Wirefly and amazon, who knows?
We still haven't heard anything about a national launch date probably because they don't have enough stock to give corporate stores and partners. Customs is clearing shipments probably by the pallet and that's how slowly Sprint is receiving them.
We could see another gap of a week or two if customs is the hold-up again.

But, an hour and a half before that I got an email that just said:
"YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED" with no explanation.
I actually felt better when I got the email below:
