Only 2 things I've seen after flashing bionix-v...BTW that rom kicks a55!
Any way my signal has gone through the roof with the new rom but when I put it on the charger, signal drops to no bars...is this a known issue with this rom? I had the battery level issue to but there are more than enough post on here to figure that one out.

I don't seem to have this issue with Bionix-V and this is the first I have heard of it. Maybe try reinstalling bionix. Also the best way to fix the battery level issue is always flash on a 100% full charge.

a little backstory:
i recently came out of the dark ages. i was running a froyo rom (bamf remix 1.7) with the original stock radio.
roughly a week ago i flashed droidth3ory's blacksourc3 v2.1. then i immediately flashed the latest radio (GB radio from 2.11.605.0, 1.48.00.0817r, 0.001.78.0802w_3). shortly thereafter, DT released an update to blacksourc3 so i flashed that and am now running v2.2.1.
now, of course, i did a FULL wipe before the initial rom flash. booted into the rom and was, of course, getting no signal due to the outdated radio. flashed the radio and all was peachy keen.
flashed the update after a cache and dalvik wipe as well as a format of /system. still all was well.
now i finally get to the puzzling issue. all of a sudden, my battery is draining like crazy and i can barely get a decent 3g signal. sometimes i'm even dropping 3g altogether and only getting a 1x evdo signal or no signal at all.
i know i'm not in a 4g area, so i have my mobile network set to cdma/evdo auto. but i also know i'm definitely in a very strong 3g area. so what gives?
everything was working just fine, and i haven't done any tweaking at all other than some slight undervolting (which i've since undone and returned to kernel defaults.)
so stumped here. HELP!
forgot to mention that i have pulled the battery, re-seated both it and the sim card.
and i'm sure the battery door is on just as tight as it gets. i have a seidio active case (soft and hard shell) around the phone at all times anyway, so i don't see how the door could have ever gotten loose. (which it wasn't.)

will give the new radio a shot when i get back home and can drop it onto my sd card via usb. at the office at the moment and left the cable at home.
thanks for the heads up, dude!
fingers crossed that this will work and i won't have to mess with getting a replacement sim card (or worse yet a whole new phone!).

Download file manager from Market download it with your phone will be in downloads of SD card. Then you can rename it to PG01IMG.zip and move it to root of SD card and reboot to Hboot and you are Golden my good man.

would if i could, but i can't!
i can't maintain a data signal long enough to get the download finished. drop from 3g to 1x to nothing and back and forth and up and down. ugh...
new radio works great on my phone went from -100 to -80

so i'm just trying to delve into this signal and battery drain issue a little further.
i just flashed the new 906 radio. going into "about phone" and looking at actual signal strength is showing me at -69 to -75 dbm on average. (with 5 asu, but i'm not sure what asu is?) this should be plenty of signal strength, right? i mean -60 dbm is damn near four full bars, or so i thought. so why do i always only show as having 1 or 2? could it just be the accuracy of the signal bar gui in the rom i'm running? (dt's blacksourc3 v2.2.1)
speaking of which, if that's the case, is there any way to get more accurate signal bars?
still not sure if my battery drain issue is going to be resolved with this newest radio flash. will have to give it some time.
i should note that gps locks are super fast, inside of 10 seconds. just don't get what's going on here. :/
Yea AOSP always shows low signal

Ok so first off my internet connection is perfect, and it isn't my internet because my internet works fine, now to my issue....
My WiFi on my amaze turns off by itself every 5 minutes, but not only that it throttles and I can't get a stable connection to my internet, I tried loading google and it took me 5 minutes because my WiFi was disconnecing and not working even though I have full signal
It's not my Rom, or any Rom (it happens with my Rom, Mikes rom, and NRG's Rom)
It could be a hardware issue but I doubt it because my data connection is fine, although my connection has been weaker ever since this has started happening, any advice? Could be a radio issue but I havnt flashed a radio since the first leak so I dunno

I have the same issue. I'm on the latest stock ICS and my wifi has been acting up too. Weak signal strength and extremely slow. Wasn't like this before on GB. And, yes, my internet works fine on other devices at my house.

Does your security use WPA? I know that for some routers, the WPA handshake interval (also known as Key Renewal Interval) can be set too low. This is not something you can change with your phone, but with your router. I find that anything below 3600 *CAN* cause problems. Try changing it to 3600 and see if it improves.
Stupid question: Do you have the "Best Wi-Fi Performance" option selected? I find it that it helps sometimes.
No its not my router, my iPod touch 1rst gen loads pages fine, aswell as my old mytouch 4g
SuperSayain Sense 3.6 coming soon
I have WiFi issues as well...I always reset the router everyday just to deal with it. The only time it works better is with stock. ICS or GB I don't have issues...only Roms.

My real world experience with it seems good .. but speedtest.net app shows only 5mb/s when is usually close to 15mb/s on hi.gingerbread (i pay for 15gb speed, so it made sense).
It never times out or has a hard time connecting tho
I'm running stock rooted .3 ics... Interesting find. I will keep an eye on it myself
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using Tapatalk 2
Tried resetting your wifi router? That could be the issue, since I use both wifi/3G on the leak and official updates, both are fluent, hence the idea of a hardware issue possibly, but you can try reflashing the latest radio file. And I don't think wifi should affect network data, sounds like a hardware issue with that for sure.

I know, but it seems that the Amaze can be a bit sensitive. It wouldn't hurt to check the interval. If it's at 3600, great. If not, change it to 3600 and see if it improves.
It doesn't have to do with our routers. At least not mine. On GB, never experienced this issue. Same phone but now with stock .3 ICS I have trouble with connection and speed over wifi. Same at work. It must have something to do with the new ICS radio because I've experience the same issue on ARHD 2.2.1.

Then reflash the radio, see if it helps, my reception actually increased with the update, from 5-8mbps to 12-25mbps.
I should also mention that my wife's GS2 doesn't have WiFi issues. Stock GB...she won't let me do anything to her Sammy.

Done that. Flashed first leaked ICS - wifi issues. Flashed ARHD 2.2.1 - wifi issues. Flashed latest leaked/official ICS - wifi issues.
On the network, I get great signal and 23mbps in Beverly Hills. Wifi is just slow and weak. Pay for 10mbps download but phone does half of that.
Not a deal breaker for me but confirming eclipze wifi issues.

Actually I was talking about network speeds, my wifi speeds are about 12-25 always. Maybe you should try a complete system wipe using the wipe script then reflash, just to clean up any old files lying around that may be blocking things up.

i was hoping you would say yours is working better
I was using xtremelabs ever since I flashed liquid ics jmod and noticed the dl speed drop substantially, I had just assumed it was the radios I was using. Then I got a wild hair and redownloaded speed net and low and behold my dl speed is still high. Which one should I trust or is it maybe just the servers its picking. Only tested on WiFi btw.
liquid thunderbolt ics
Have you tried cell coverage map? Also, speeds will fluctuate a lot depending on the bandwidth being used on the line or the cell tower so its hard to say how accurate any of them are.
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
I haven't tried that one but I did 7 tests on each in a random order and the results were consistent on each of the two I tried.
liquid thunderbolt ics
Well here's my 4G test lmao why am I even using Wi-Fi lol.

Good speeds. Why do you atk installed? That thing is just a battery drainer. In ics if you long press home and swipe the app it will close it completely.
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
Just habit I guess. I been using atk for the past 6 yrs so I got used to it. I will try your method after next battery charge though and compare.

I think you'll notice a difference. You'll also notice you get less force closes and odd app issues. Like apps just kind of not working completely right.
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
Yeah the one I been getting is Facebook stays all white but when I drag down like im going to refresh everything shows until it goes flush with the blue UI bar

Forgot to say that the holding the home key method did fix that thanks.
liquid thunderbolt ics JMOD from XDA-Developers App
I guess that depends on why you are using speed tests, if it is for your own personal information stick with whatever you are already using it may not be the most accurate but it is still a reference you can use.
I would like accuracy not, eh I been using this one so I'll stay with it. Hence my asking. If its not an accurate measurement how can you judge your radios performance or your networks. Naw I mean mane lol

Would be nice if they made some way for us to roll back to MI1... I've noticed less stable wifi, as well as she chews through battery at almost double the rate of 4.2.2. Should have waited to update, newer isn't always better. I think my 4G is more powerful now though.
That's for AT&T version. Not sure how much is different compared to verizon version.

hmm interesting. I actually just got my S4 coming from my S3. Battery life is a decent bit better than my S3. But I haven't had any issues with it so far.
My Verizon S4 4.3 has been running fine. No problems with WiFi or battery life. Maybe Verizon did something right when they agreed to have 4.3 released.
My battery life sucks since the update. Another thing I noticed is my data use has been a lot higher and I haven't done anything different. I got a text last week that I'm at 90% of my usage...I have never even gone over 75% before.

I haven't noticed any specific issues, but I am with everyone else on the data usage. I have used a surprising amount of mine. I do wish that exterior development was a little more supported by the companies :/
Via Betterbatstats app I am draining at 3.1% after 4.3 update,
Not really that bad for me.

I'm noticing a lot of wi-fi issues on my work connection which has a weak signal. I've gone from being able to connect (with frequent drop-outs) to not being able to get a stable connection at all. Really wishing I wouldn't have taken the update.
I saw a website last night on the pulling of the 4.3 update. It seems almost every carrier is affected by these bugs. There is a list of issues that the site posted...blank black screen...WiFi issues...music player launching...Verizon car charger not working. The ones I've noticed are battery life...Verizon car charger...phone going between eG and 4G a lot more often. Here is the site I found this all from.
http://www.androidpit.com/android-4-3-update-s4-problems
I've also notice a issue where my Samsung charger while charging my phone said to use the OEM charger for better charging performance..I think the update has a bug that is causing the charging port to report false indications or not work at all (Verizon car charger). Dunno but it looks like were stuck with it until VZW or Samsung pushes a update with fixes.

I'm happy to let the dust settle before taking the update plunge!

Huh, here I thought it was due to my tinkering. But since 4.3, I've had the battery drainage and charger issue along with terrible performance. Even before this disaster, I was getting tired of the weak vibration and ringtone, and slow performance. Its loaded with so much crap that it can barley do its core functions. I'm so turned off that I've been actively looking for alternative. Hell, blackberry is starting to look good.
I can go about a day and a half to two days of if I'm not using my phone much... I haven't noticed that that's any difference from pre mj7
