[Q] No keyboard sound (clicks) - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Isn't there supposed to have a click sound on the keyboard when you press a button?
I just flashed stock rom again, and on the setup I had the click sound, but as soon as I finished it was gone :-(

Did you check/uncheck the box in the settings ???
It could explain it... Or maybe is the sound off... There isn't any click sound when it's on discret mode.

Are you using the stock messaging app? What rom and phone are you using?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Yes, stock messaging app on SGS2 (as the forum states). I'm on stock KE2 and rooted via chainfire's rooting method then reflashed stock kernel.
Have you turned on always vibrate from within the messaging app? Go to all threads in the app, press menu, then settings, scroll down to notification settings, then press the option that says "Vibration" and make sure the option for always vibrate is selected.

I would but the setting isn't even there which is what surprised me most!
EDIT: I found an app to let me enable that vibration and it works now but it should be there as an option by default!!! WTF SAMSUNG!

The bottom bar you mean?
There is a feature that does this added to the power menu on Task+Phantom's "In Paris" V4 ROM

I haven't seen an app for it, I doubt there is one.
This wont change anything with your ROM execpt add that to the menu.
Honeybar or HideBar. I currently use Honeybar for fullscreen movies.

Honeybar is root required and hidebar's not working...
Any other suggestions?

Right. I assume you're not rooted, then? If not, there isn't anything available.

Ring tone and notification link

How can we link ring tone and notification volumes like in gingerbread? I lower the volume but just the ring tone lowers, I'm looking for both volumes to lower at the same time.

I've tried both versions of this app (there are two different developers that make an app called Quick Settings and they look to do about the same thing) and it looks like it will lock them together but it doesn't...
Im using the Verizon phone. You?
I'm on Sprint and it doesn't work. Tried both apps.

This works as an app to replace the volume buttons but I'm looking to still use my volume buttons. I am amazed that this functionality doesn't exist stock!

Is there a way to get call controls in notification area on CM9?

I'm using CM9 and during a call, there are no options to mute, hang up, hold, or anything else in notification tray. This is the one thing I loved about the Samsung variant of Android. Do I simply need to install a dialer app from Google Play to get this functionality, or is there a feature in CM9 to enable this?
Can anyone help me get this functionality? Thanks in advance.
What would be the point all those buttons are on the in call screen in ICS?

If you are multitasking outside of the phone app while in speaker phone, isn't it pretty quick to pull down the notification tray and click the phone so the phone app opens (which has all the options), then just switch back to what you were doing? Doesn't even take 5 seconds to go from browser to phone, back to browser...
Although it would be a nice feature, it is not a necessary one.

No offense, but I didn't ask what you thought was necessary. I just want to see if anyone knows how to get what I want. I don't know why people are trying to talk me out of this

To start with, how about posting questions in q &a? Thread moved to q&a.

Remove Recommended Shortcuts (earphones)

Under the settings, theres an app called PageBuddyNotiSvc
Disable it, and force stop it.
You'll no longer the annoying "earphones connected" notification clogging up space.
Cheers :victory:
Thanks for this! I renamed the app and it worked also.

To clarify:
Pulldown
Settings (gear icon)
"More" tab
"Applications manager"
"All" tab (since it won't be under "downloaded")
PageBuddy NotiSvc
Uncheck "show notifications"

Thank you, I am slowly getting rid of the annoyances in the stock rom and this puts me one step closer.
Me and elesbb Are working on removing the Safe Volume Adjust currently. I'll throw that up after we're done with it.
Get rid of that annoying vol down after inserting headphones.
Awesome. The volume thing drives me nuts.
