Flash
Our ARM v6 doesn't support flash yet. If it could we would see flash 10.1 in the Android Market for Android 2.2+. Don't worry qcomm and Adobe are working to support older ARM v6 processor

Have a look at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155920
It works for me and my [email protected]

As far as I know there is no way to get flash working on Android 2.1 with an ARMv6 processor. I have 2.3 now and there's no flash too.

Flash player on tattoo?

I have tattoo with android 2.2 and everytime i try to install it fails. Is there any way to make it work?
Sent from my HTC Tattoo using XDA App
It never gonna work for Tattoo, even with 2.2 ROM.
Tattoo lacks the OpenGL 2.0 ES, which is a pre-request for Flash Player. It's a hardware issue.
But i remember that 2.1 had working flash. I think Kiljachken rom had flash on his 2.1 rom.
On sense eclair and froyo flash videos and games work
As they use Adobeflashlite but not adobe flash player
Following ROM has latest flashlite

Flash lite in tatfroyosense is latest version than the one in 1.6.
I dont know if porting these to 1.6 could be possible, so you can have flash running in donut.

Lol that's not right at all..if you don't really know the answer to a question then don't answer it. Anyhow the other person was right you need a rom that is 2.2 or higher in order to use flash.
You need a froyo (2.2) custom room like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947613
Dude u need a 2.2 ROM, if u have rooted the phone, just install xrecovery and choose install custom rom & location of the rom zip.
Voila you are good to go
Can someone explain to me in layman's (ish) terms, why it's not possible to hack Flash Player support on 2.1?
I want to learn!
Because the framework for flash didn't exist on 2.1.. The only 2.1 that had flash was for htc and it was flash lite, but it sucked..
U just have to flash a 2.2 ROM like Free X10 and download Flash from the Market - Finish
Greetz, Kevin
Flash Palyer is working well on Free X10
thanks guys would you be able to tell me which custom rom is the best I mean best froya 2.2

Okay, so thats why there were a lot of rumors about Flash on 2.1
Because HTC had some Flash Lite. But, you could also install it on other phones, or only on some HTC?
Does flash realy need some files from 2.2 ? isnt there a way to copy these files from 2.2 and use under 2.1 ?

Only worked on htc phones because it required their sense rom...
There is no way no matter what you do to get it to run on 2.1. It will never happen.

Again, there's a difference between flash and flash lite.
Most flash websites do not support flash lite, but there are a few that do. Many ads, for example, are based on flash lite. But anyway, I think the OP has got his answer, so further discussion is futile

Yes but newgrounds.com still did work with flash lite as it worked when I had htc sense, then once I rooted and installed a 2.1 custom rom it no longer did, even after I had flash lite supposedly installed.
Ask any of the htc devs and they will tell you the exact same thing guaranteed... It did not actually work...

So cyanogenmod was the GB rom and this one is the froyo?? Do we have to flash gapps in cwm in this rom before flashing it as in cm7??

you can upgrade to cyanogen without using your pc, but you have to install something first
http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/(development)-cyanogenmod-7-1-'galaxy5'-port/
But the person above you is saying that cyanogenmod RC1 is not fully stable for g5 device!!
Which rom do you use for taking the full advantage of your g5 device??
Sent from my GT-I5503 using Tapatalk
That rom i previously posted, the only things that dont work are :
*ROM Manager - our phone's version of ClockworkMod is not supported yet.
*FM Radio
*SIM Toolkit (menus will display, but options/commands do not process properly when selected).
*Some audio/video codecs (needed for media playback and certain commercial games)
*Troubleshoot battery drains (Fixed...ish)
*Wifi not reconnecting properly after sleep. Workaround: install Blade Wifi Fix from market, or set wifi sleep policy to "never".
so its not so unstable that your phone will blow up, it just doesnt have full features.
But what about the 2.2 froyo firmwares displaying on samfirmware.com for galaxy5???
are they flashed by odin mehod only??
What is the difference in those firmwares and madteam roms??
Sent from my GT-I5503 using Tapatalk
Btw can you tell what is the difference between the firmwares on samfirmware.com and the motafoca rom 2.0.9??
Are those firmwares the basebands only and we can flash that motafoca rom on those basebands??
I am.confused!!?!?

ok, here you will find all the roms for our phone, and descriptions of each. read them and see the differences
No actually I was saying that can I flash the firmwares on samfirmware.com and motafoca rom after it without replacing the basebands, firmwares?
Sent from my GT-I5503 using Tapatalk
flashing is changing the firmware, and you wont have to change your baseband version unless you have connectivity problems
Say if I have a baseband of I5503DDJG5 and I am on stock 2.1, can I still flash a rom without changing the baseband?? Doesnt it changes with the rom??

Andro-id is customized version of gingerbread 2.3.4 and is better than gingerbread. And it also comes pre-rooted and is more flexible than official gingerberead.
Just flash a froyo rom for your region/area phone from http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-s5570.htm and flash it using odin one package option. If you have installed any custom recovery like CWM recovery, doing so will replace the custom recovery with stock recovery.
I think Andro-id 3.2 is better than gingerbread. but, cm7 is even more better than andro-id. THe diffrence however is cm7 looks and is completeley diffrent from gingerbread but andro-id looks similar and has similar functions to gingerbread... CM7 is very much customizable comes prerooted and can be overclocked.

Cwm for gts5570 currently doesn't support rfs so you can't backup froyo via cwm at the moment . But yiy can find froyo firmware for your region samfirmware.com download from there and flash using Odin. Where are you from? If you wanting will give the link to download froyo for your Tom. Also include the info you get when you dial *#1234#* in your dialer ( ie PDA version and baseband)

my question was if I can backup rom stock, because I would try to flash a custom rom (andro-id)... but if something goes wrong, or that rom doesn't like me, how can I go back to the original one?
Try searching for your rom on samfirmware.com . If you are able to find one you can flash it from odin to go back tp stock rom after upgrading to custom rom....

and one more question .... When i was on cyanogen mod7 for samsung galaxy mini i saw it uses only 50-60mb ram IS THAT REALLY ??!!!!
The ram consumed depend on how many apps and services you install.. May be a clean and fresh boot uses about 60 mb but when you go on installing apps the size increases.

[Q] Q's about installing ROM & Kernel on Player 5.0 INTL

Hi. I wont introduce myself as there is no need for that, i'll just say that i have no how to PROPERLY install a ROM and Kernel on an Android. I know how to do it in Symbian S60V5, but that was ages ago.
I have a Galaxy Player 5.0 International, YPG70-EB confused
I already rooted it, but i dont like the TouchWiz 3.0 at all. I installed a custom TW 4.5, its much better but it crashes often. So i got rid of it.
Anyways, what is a Kernel? Do i need to put a custom Kernel? If yes, before the ROM or after the ROM? Do you install the both via ZIP file in
Android System Recovery (3e) ?
I'm sorry for being a total noob, i already tried this once and i hard bricked my Player. Cost me 20 euros to fix it.
Firmware version: 2.3.5
Kernel version: 2.6.35-G70XXKPF-CL562492 ([email protected] #2)

Link for custom ROMs
Go to this link. You can find all the custom ROMs as well as stock ones for the Samsung Galaxy Player. Note that the stock based ROMs are simply modified versions of stock firmware, most have alternate launchers installed. The non-stock based ROMs usually have some problems, so if you want a fully working ROM with cool tweaks, use a stock-based one.
