Just thought I would share. My local Sprint Store has EVO 3d's and is selling them now, you have to ask though.
They also have both OtterBox's in stock. The prices might make you sweat, but they have them.

i went to mine and they didint budge.
Mine confirmed the otterbox commuter to me today on the phone.
They sold me 2 Defender cases, without any trouble at all. They actually walked to the back and got 2 for me.
The Defenders should hold me over until I get a tough case like Ballistic or Trident.

The otterbox defenders usually run $50 retail. This is true no matter what phone it is for. I am thinking the EVO 3d otterbox will be no different.

They do not have the kickstand cases. They have the 2 Otterbox cases, the car charger (obviously) and they also had the window mount.
Call me a retard but how do you pry the plastic case open? I put the phone in after getting it open somehow, now I noticed the screen is dirty and needs to be wiped. I cant open this beast.
Edit: Ok got it figured out. You have to pry open the tabs on the side to open it up. Now that its all situated, all i can say is this thing is a beast. Very happy especially since I got it for $40 using my USPS discount. =)

Just called my store, they are going to call me back. They said they do indeed have them, they just need to check and see if the sku's are all good to go and if they can sell them. Someone is pulling your leg because if it is a corporate store, they should have them on launch.
I just walked into my Sprint store, told them I was told they have the Otterbox cases for the Evo 3D, the guy said yes, went in the back, and brought one out for me. I think all stores have them and its a matter of speaking to the right person.

Today i came across buy.com which is selling the seidio branded one for $2.95, which sells for like $30.00 before taxes on seidio's website. Well according to seidio it'll fit/work with the extended batteries, as long as u don't have a case on it. I ordered it cuz' I saw pics with a naked evo3d/4000mah battery back, & it looked like it fit fine. Also when u look up this product in seidio's website it say's it's compatible with both extended batteries.
Probably won't work with a tpu case, according to seidio it's meant for caseless/naked phones. But hey, for $2.95, what do u got to lose.

Thanks for the heads up! Been looking fire a simple case for the weekends when I'm not using my Defender. Didn't like how tight the HTC leather pouch was, fit my Evo 4g prefect. I haven't even thought about a holster, but this will be perfect! Never bought from them before, hope shipping doesn't take forever. Will hit the thanks button when I'm not on XDA App

Nah', it wasn't a mistake, I e-mailed the vendor & he said it was a limited time thing. If you try to order one now it say's they're sold out, I don't think they're gonna' re-stock it at the same price, I'm still waiting on mine, say's it should be delivered by tuesday

Same here, I just received mine in the mail about 5 mins ago, it came in the original box/packaging too. I wish I would've ordered a couple more, who knows when a deal like this will ever come around again.
I ended up ordering two. Got them a couple of days ago
Mine came in the mail yesterday. I was shocked to see it in the full retail packaging! I honeslty expected it to be in a plastic bag, nothing else. I now wish I would have ordered about 10 so I could help out the members here who want one but missed out on it. Sorry guys.
The quality is great, as is almost everything from Seidio!! This is exactly what I need for evenings and weekends, when my 3D comes out of its Defender case. Just wish I could now find a holster just like this that would fit my Commuter and Impact (since they are almost identical in size). If any one knows of one, please do share!

I couldn't find them anywhere. I was searching for the last 2 days. I ended up trying out the Defender since I couldn't find it. I must say, I'm liking it so far. Not as big as I thought it would be. You just may have to order from Otter if you want it. It seems that no one plans on getting them anytime soon. Good luck

I live in socal I have been searching but no local store have them so I was force to purchase commuter from otterbox.com for my wife and I .. used a code which wasn't much but its better then nothing 5% off 50 and 10% off 70 code:AM2012.. I'm taking care of it like a new born baby Until my case gets here which they ship pretty quick

Yeah but no one has the frikken thing. Sprint seems to be sold out. Amazon "Prime Eligible" one is out as well. Had to order it from another vendor. Gotta wait like 10 days to get it. I love Otters tho. Good product t!

It comes with screen protector included, not attached. A lot of people didn't even know one was in the box and never applied it.
So my amazon order said shipped but then last night I get a refund and a letter saying it will not be coming... So I bought one on ebay... Let's see if I can actually get this case..

I think if that happens I'll just go to BB and get the siedio rebranded one (PT)

I was told by someone at the sprint store that they wont be carrying the commuter in black only the defender. it seems really stupid that they would sell the pink version of the commuter and not the black one. that's why its not in any sprint stores at least

you may be able to contact them and they may send you a free replacement. that's what they used to do, but idk bout now.

I got it from Best Buy so I'm sure they won't take it back. Ima call Otterbox to see what they could do for me. I like putting the clip on my car's sun visor. Its not something I would wear anyways.

Any accessories you buy from sprint they will swap out for you as long as they still stock it. I bought my otterbox and my LG Bluetooth headset from a corporate store and two different sales reps said the same thing. I'm willing to pay a little extra for warranty convenience.

Mine did the same thing. I filled out the support form on their website. They emailed me asking me to send them a picture of the affected area of the case on a sheet of paper with todays date. I emailed it to them the picture. About an hour later I had an email stating that my new unit would be shipped out soon and that I would receive a tracking number. I am still waiting on the tracking number but so far I am impressed.
Otterbox will replace any of their products no questions asked usually. Takes about 5 days for me usually.

Yeah that's why I had mine replaced. According to the guy at my local sprint store, they'll replace any accessories for free for as long as they carry them in the store. Ymmv.

I've taken a broken otterbox back to best buy 3 times since July. Also forgot to bring the holster back a couple times so I have 2 extra lying around if anyone needs a spare. Just pay shipping.
Another thing that can, but shouldn't be abused. If u take a pic of your broken case then otterbox sends u a new one. Well, u can take the broken one back to store w receipt and get money back. So, in the end free otterbox, profit?
Just got my Otterbox tracking info yesterday afternoon. Hasn't shipped yet, but at least I know it coming.
I'm looking forward to having my belt clip again, the case alone is really....clunky.
