Just ordered my Thunderbolt last night on Amazon to take advantage of the $179 price. According to the site its on backorder right now. Anyone else order from Amazon and still waiting? Also, who here has ordered a phone from Amazon and its on backorder? Did you have to wait the full 8-9 days as it says? Man, i can not wait to get my hands on this device!! Hope you all are enjoying yours as we speak!
Not amazon, but I ordered from Verizon and it's been literally within an hour of me since it shipped Friday with no signs of moving according to the fedex tracking....

Today I got notification it shipped, and is expected to be delivered tomorrow (despite 2 day shipping, since it's coming from NJ -> NY, it will arrive in 1 day).

Same here! Has been sitting at the sort facility about an hour from my location, all day long. Should be here tomorrow according to tracking though.

must be frustrating. they are offering free 3pm overnight shipping right now too. maybe you could call and have it resent via that for delivery tomorrow?
Amazon overshoots their delivery times, never had to wait as long as they estimated for anything I've ordered there, including phones.

I got one in the store yesterday and made them match there online price so it was 189 with my NE2.
In the store price was $10 more than online and I got a case for half off.

Took about 2 1/2-3 hrs for me. But that was on a sunday night.

Glad you talked em into it. I tried this on Sunday afternoon. VZW and Best Buy both refused to match it. I said "No Problem" and ordered online. Hopefully they will give me an update soon.
I purchased my TB on 3/18 and amazon sd it was backordered. got "Shipped" confirmation saturday 3/19 at noon and was in my hands monday 3/21 around 3pm. Came from Louisville, Ky and shipped to TN. I had to wait 24 hours for Sprint to release my number. All I can say is Amazon Wireless rocks!!

On bright note for everyone whos ordered. The Thunderbolts are back in stock and as of late last night my order was packed and ready to be shipped. According to Amazon, i should have it tomorrow.

There is a $20 Saturday/Overnight delivery charge. Which is then done FedEx. Without it, you're looking at Tuesday. They still ship on the weekends... They just don't deliver without the extra charge.

The fact that my dad ordered 2 primes on the 20th (one for each of us) and it it was backordered til the 28 when it turned to... " 3 day delivery pending " it still has delivery on the 5th. Which I highly doubt will happen. I know it's not their fault but they can certainly handle this a lot better. I have sent two different emails and got very similar responses. That didn't even answer my questions. I didn't want to call them cause it hasn't bothered me that much until now. I asked then to upgrade my shipping lol. I can dream.

Hey Axe, did you get a tracking number yet? I ordered on Dec. 28th and I got a UPS tracking number for it yesterday but UPS says it's not at their facility yet. My scheduled delivery is for the 5th as well. Also feel like it's probably not gonna happen :/ cancelled my Amazon order too, maybe should have ordered from Gamestop, their ETA was Jan. 6th but who knows, they're probably not getting any either.

Mine finally made it to the UPS shipping center!! Says it will be here right on time on the 5th fingers crossed.
i ordered on the 28th, item says its backoredered, went on live chat about 10 minutes ago and they said ill get it on the 5th. i dont think its going to happen but we'll see. they said the site might not be updated with the latest info.
Ya mine got to the shipping center as well. Btw I haven't been contact yet like they said the local Distributer would. But this is better than nothing.

Office Depot order
I ordered mine on 12-30, est. delivery 1-10-12... currently " In Warehouse".
At the time I ordered it was not showing up as "back-ordered".
Just an update I finally got my tracking number. It's in Texas now scheduled delivery 1/5. Only problem is I work at 4am on Fridays so I guess I won't be getting much sleep. Haha.

Mine is out for delivery from Office Depot this morning. From the way my order progressed, "In Warehouse" seems to indicate that your tablet is in a box, waiting to be shipped.
I called customer service yesterday because my order said delivery on the 4th (today!) and I still didn't have a tracking number. They said they're using a third-party warehouse and that was delaying the tracking info, but assured me it would ship on time.
This morning I woke up to an email with a tracking number and it was already out for delivery. Hang in there, the numbers are slow to arrive, but your tablet may be on the way. Mine shipped from Harrisburg, PA, about an hour from me!
Now I just hope everything is okay with mine so I don't need to deal with an exchange.

That's really weird. I ordered on the 30th, and had a ship date of the 4th and mine did ship. How can yours be backordered if you ordered before me?
From the conversations I had with customer service, they don't seem to have a firm grasp on their supply chain. I don't think I'll be doing business with them again. I wasn't impressed.
My order status with them doesn't say a word and the shopping page only says "will ship by July 11th", does anyone have a clue when they will actually begin to ship?
I was just notified on Wed 7/4 that my phone was shipping! When I pre-ordered my phone on the first day of pre-ordering, I was told then that mine should ship by 7/9. So it would seem to me that they might be slightly ahead of what they told me when I originally ordered.

Yes, they only charge upon shipment. My phone should arrive either Friday 7/6 or Monday 7/9. Monday 7/9 was actually the day I was originally told would be the shipping date.
I just ordered mine on the 2nd and was given a shipping date of the 11th...I hope they're ahead of schedule!

I figured we should start a thread like this, considering the phone should be shipping this week and there are rumors are circulating about VZW/WalMart shipping out as early as Monday morning. Additionally, a lot of us have been posting in random threads updates to their status order, so I'll start out by saying where i've ordered from/the dates/send any updates throughout the week.
VZW - 1 note, ordered 11/01, order in process, expected ship date 11/27.
WalMart - 1 note, ordered 11/25, order confirmed, awaiting delivery confirmation/delivery date TBA.
Pre-ordered day 1, expected ship 11/27 (my birthday), status pending.
Ordered from vzw on 11/16. Expected ship date used to be 11/27. Has been "unavailable at this time" for a few days now.

Nope. According to the WalMart rep I talked to they have nothing in their warehouses yet as far as the N2 goes. This contradicts what someone else heard, that WalMart would ship today as well too.

Who has had their card charged??
I ordered this phone from Walmart and its current status is: Approved - Awaiting Inventory. I'm not expecting to get this phone by the 29th since it hasn't even shipped yet (crossing my fingers though!), but hopefully I'll have it in my hands before the end of next week.
