Skinomi Screen Protector Review - Eee Pad Transformer Accessories

The following will run through the experience of the installation process and comparison with EXiM PET dry install screen protectors and Wrapsol Wet apply body protection.
(Reportedly, Zagg is also similar to Skinomi)
Type:
Installation: WET
Light Permeability: High (ultra clear, glossy)
Prior to Installation:
The protector material is packaged in a tube. Opening the package cap reveals a rolled up screen protector, an instruction guide, squeegee and spray solution. The protector was unrolled and flattened for several days prior to installation.
Installation:
bathroom was steamed up to settle the dust, the screen was cleaned with a mircofibre cloth dipped in 99% Isopropyl.
Compressed air was used to blast off any dust particles on the screen
The protector material was peeled and sprayed with solution
The protector material is elastic / stretchy.
-If my experience with Wrapsol's body protection material that was also stretchy is any indication, caution must be used during installation to avoid accidental excessive stretching which caused permanent deformation of the material. Once the material is over stretched, the holes, edges, etc will be unaligned, rendering the protector useless.
-There is no stretchiness with EXiM PET or any dry install screen protectors
Installation took a few tries before perfect alignment was achieved.
-on several occasions when I tried to realign one part of the screen protector (hoping the rest of the material would follow as with ridged dry PET protectors), the material would instead stretch, so I had to lift the whole screen protector for alignment to avoid stretching and deformation.
After alignment, I used a micro cloth to push all the solution (which is hopefully demineralized to prevent electrical conductivity)
-a micro cloth was used instead of the squeegee provided to minimize damage to the overly soft protector material.
-the material is dentable even with mere accidental stab of a finger nail (not so with ridged dry install PET protectors).
I noticed it's almost impossible to see remaining dust specs due to under lying liquid solution, so you'll just have to hope you did a good job of cleaning prior to installation
First day of application:
-Foggy screen (reportedly disappears after a few days)
-Dented protector (the material is too soft and is pretty much useless to protect itself) (unless this characteristic ALSO disappears and becomes hard material in a few days..., can't recommend)
Second day:
-Majority of the fogginess from the microbubbles have disappeared, a minority of it remains, ~2% of the screen
-material remains soft and malleable
-one dust spec found
Fourth Day:
-Several dents on the screen protector remain from the installation process and more will come from even the slightest impact of a pointy object.
-This material is simply too soft. It is a poor choice of material if longevity is the aim of the protector.
-all microbubbles disappeared
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This stuff is a joke.
the EXiM PET protectors are half the price and twice the quality.
I used to have a manually modified Apple IPAD EXiM PET protector installed for their lack of the Transformer version available on eBay for $12. Now I can tell the EXiM is definitely better both in installation process and usability.
Light permeability might be a little better with this Skinomi protector as it is thinner than the PET dry install protectors. But I can not be completely sure. I am comparing an old PET installation with weeks of accumulated finger prints and other grime to a brand new installation of Skinomi. So the comparison isn't on equal footing.
PROs:
high light permeability, thin
more Fingerprint resistant (more so than Dry Apply EXiM)
CONs:
difficult installation
-hard to realign (due to stretchiness, requires total lift of material for realignment)
-stretchiness (prone to accidental deformation during installation)
-difficult to see dust specs until a while after installation due to necessary spray solution
poor usability on 1st day post installation (delay in fog dissipation)
poor longevity (soft material very vulnerable to dents and scratches)
-extremely vulnerable to vinegar (cause permanent blur smear)
-extremely vulnerable to isopropyl (cause permanent blur smear)
RECOMMENDED?: No

I just bought my Eee Pad Transformer about two weeks ago and finally got the keyboard dock with it also. I also got this purchase on the Skinomi Screen Protector but has yet to arrive to my doorstep but thank you for the review. I'll see if I want to to test this on my Eee pad Transformer.
Thanks again for a good detailed review.

klau1 sorry if the Skinomi didn't work out for you. The vulnerability to dents is one of the problems I have with it, but I can live with it. Thanks for the review. Oh well if anyone else need a video how-to I have made one below for reference.

I would add to the cons... getting the thing off after you've had it on for a few weeks is ridiculous... I thought I was going to break the damn screen. To me that's just unacceptable. I replaced mine because where it touched the dock, the surface marred... agreed that this is crap.
I did end up buying this one on amazon and am very happy http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-P...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1309202152&sr=8-1
Easy to install, no fingerprints, cuts the glare, and easy to lift up with scotch tape and remove any dust deposited during install.. and it's not that expensive.

Usually Matte ones that cut glare, also cut contrast or clarity. How does the picture quality compare with the Skinomi ?

Did you try to put a mild soap solution on the protector before removing it? It might help get it back to becoming more flexible.

I have one of these from posr.us. Really does cut on the glare, but is not very smooth on the fingers and also reduces clarity/contrast like you mentioned.
I think I am still going to try the skinomi.

THIS SH*T IS A JOKE and SCAM!!!
Use a bit of rubbing alcohol or 99% isopropyl and it blurs over.
There is now a blotch of blurriness on the spot I briefly rubbed with the alcohol and quickly stopped.
DO NOT BUY!

This also happened to me - don't use anything other than a mild vinegar solution to clean the screen w/ this protector on it or else you'll get this blur/white patch effect - it ruins the entire screen protector.

Great review, thanks lots of useful information.

I got the silver carbon fiber back from skinomi and I love it. It makes the back of the TF look so cool. I only installed the back because I didn't like the pieces for the side and stuff. I kept the screen protector for future use because I got a SGP anti-glare protector which I love also. The finger prints just disappear, well almost lol.

I couldn't disagree more with this review. My skinomi went on without any problems and looks great, can't even tell there is a protector on it.
How on earth do you get 'dents' on it during installation is beyond me......did you put it on with a knife and fork? There are many reviews and installation videos showing how easy it is and how good the skinomi looks when installed properly.

UPDATE:
CAUTION
ANOTHER Blur smear created by SubWay's (TM) Sweat Onion Chicken Terriakyi sub.
I was eating a sub when I accidentally made contact between the sub and the skinomi protector screen, some "sweet onion sauce" was smeared on the screen, when I wiped it with a napkin, ANOTHER blur was left behind just like with the isopropyl.
so even light vinegar will ruin this piece of crap.

I got the Skinomi for its full body skin... of course im already using something else as a screen protector...
thanks for the update!
would love to read anyone else's reviews on this product!

Added:
After weeks of usage, it's proven to be:
Pro:
more Fingerprint resistant (more so than Dry Apply EXiM)

I bought two for my gtab....the first one had a deep scratch in it right out of the box and the second one went on like crap. I also see what appears to be bubbles in the material in spots.

you can pretty much just duplicate this review for the bodyguardz ultra clear screen protector. the same rolled up packaging. the same pain in the ass installation with alignment issues(although this isnt their fault ill admit.) i did the same tactics minus the cleaning with alcohol before hand and after a week I still had these ugly " blotches" on my screen. after a week. emailed bodyguardz and the rep said it was from lack of solution used. thats funny because i used 2 vials of the solution. ( i had one left over from my phone screen protector) anyways, i think im just gonna rock the tab without a screen protector. i have a decent case which it never leaves, i should be good.

while the Zagg is similar in installation i never had any of the problems you had installing it. The zagg doesnt come in a tube its flat out of the box. i Swear by the zagg, i have installed it on 4 iphones , a n1, ipad, Inspire 4g and now my transformer. while the zagg stretches ever so slightly you shouldnt be pushing so hard on it with the squeegee thiers is a rubber squeegee and works great. The Zagg also allows alot of light to come through and seems almost as good screen clarity as if it wasnt on. It cleans easily and resist finger prints, i have never noticed any denting either with the Zagg.

^ if you can confirm that the zagg doesnt have the " orange peel" feel on the transformer screen protector i will order one right now.

Iirc, zagg will yelow over time, and it is thicker so might result in lower light permeability

Thanks.

I have the first one - fits well and does the trick. I have just ordered the second one so the rear and sides of the device have protection.
Pricey, but lifetime guarantee and made of a cool material.
Good customer service too.
Have had Martin Fields for quite a while now.
http://www.martinfields.co.uk/dis_product.asp?model=HTC_HDTouch&modeln=Touch%20HD&prod_type=screen
It fits really well, I almost can't tell that it's on besides for two whitish lines at the left and right edges of the screen but it's under my silicon jacket so I see none of that =)
hi,
search the forum, this is a popular topic. i agree the htc protector is a little too big, i have also tried the Brando anti-glare, which is a little short top to bottom. a cheap ebay alternative was a good fit, but too shiny, prone to fingerprints.
I got the EXiM SPOC one from ebay, its the exact size but only problem is it doesn't have a hole for camera.
No sticky touch, smooth and washable/reusable. Very good, always had EXiM, never been dissapointed.
You can also try www.purplemoo.com they only produced fitting protectors. Very good customer service.
I have just bought this from ebay
I spent a couple of frustrtaing minutes trying to fit the one that came with the phone
Has anyone used the wet application type (eg the Clear Protector mentioned above)? I've bought one of these but the idea of putting water on my device fills me with dread, especially as there's a big hole in the facia for the microphone. This seems like lunacy!
I bought an InvisiShield screen protector, not whole body, came with rubber squegee and spray.
Spray your hands, peel of protector, spray film not phone, place on and squegee off. Left in airing cupboard overnight, and you cannot notice its even on there. THe only thing I did was wipe of the front with a damp cloth as the spray stopped your fingers running smoothy over it.
As a testiment to it, I dropped my Touch, bounced twice... body has a couple of minor scratches but they stop where the protector starts... would recommend!

Man i bought this EXiM SPOC and what a load of ****!
The worse screen protector i've ever used. It is so easily scratched and whenever i drag the stylus across the screen, it leaves marks on the screen.
A cheap 99 cent screen protector on eBay that i bought for my mums Omnia is better quality.
AVOID at all cost.
This is EXIMs claim.
"Ultra Anti-Scratch
•Enjoy stylus writing on your PDA. EXiM® has properly sheltered it for you.
EXiM® Screen Protectors could last for a long period of time without affecting its smoothness and transparency because of the stiffness of the raw material used. Anti-Scratch Coating is applied on top of the PET Film surface to further increase the durability. Different hardness of coatings are used in different types of EXiM® Screen Protectors to best meet different needs and applications."
My ass, it scratched without me doing anything. One small drag on the screen protector makes marks.

How about checking the Skinomi thread in this very first page of this section ?
I just orderded some screen protectors from ebay hong kong. 11.99 for 3. ill let you know how they work.
Good Screen Protector
Ordered one from Amazon made by Aurum(do a search). It came quickly and I am very happy with it, wished I waited a few days, they have a deal going on with it.
It says its made from Japanese PET, in my experience it is better than those "military" strength ones like Zagg etc(bad evo 4g experience). This one has a dry application and protected on both top and bottom by covers (a protector for the protector). Ships from the US.
I have the Skinomi. I'm happy with it, but it does not appear to help with glare or screen angles (though, honestly, I only used it for a few minutes before installing the protector).

Go with the Skinomi one. It's cheap (relatively if you consider lifetime free replacement) and if you don't botch the installation it looks fantastic. And... you don't have to wait three weeks for something to come from China.
Don't get me wrong, I buy stuff from China sometimes but only when I can't get it here or if it's a lot more money to get it from here.
Anyone have recommendations for screen protectors? Looking for helping with anti glare and no finger prints on it. Any info would be great. Thank for all the feedback so far.

Do you mean this one ? according to the user image its not custom made (no holes for the camer/sensors) not sure if it would even cover the bezel + the screen.

The Skinomi one requires a WET application, that then has to dry, do you really want to spray some liquid on your new g-tab? I tried this on my Evo installation was a pain but then my fingers got stuck scrolling, so I learned my lesson and stick to the PET material which has a silicone coating for smooth movement
Aurum Screen Protector
You are right, I have the Aurum one from Amazon on my G-tablet, and there are no holes, but I do not see a difference in camera performance. The protector covers bezel to bezel. I've used the camera with and without the protector, all I know is that it is as grainy before as it was after the Aurum screen protector. I do not use the camera(I really do not need anyone getting scared looking at me) so it's fine by me, it the smoothness of movement that matters.
just my $0.02, but why not use the one by Zagg....?..

Thanks for the info, Traderny. Would you say that the Aurum screen protector allows for smoother gliding movements than the unprotected GTab screen? I'm hoping to find something that provides a nice swipe feel. Too often my fingers would "stick" to the naked screen or (less so, but still) the Skinomi protector.
My .2 cents

Wet application screen protectors have been around for a while and it has been shown to not be an issue if you follow the directions on installation. There are thousands of people that have used wet installation screen protectors here in the gTab forums that have reported no residual issues with the gTab during/after application.
Also, you don't spray liquid on the gTab, rather you're supposed to spray the liquid on both sides of the screen protector before application and dab up the excess liquid as you work it to the edges with the provided plastic card.
I've used both PET and this style of screen protectors on devices before and I prefer this over the PET as I have found the PET style protectors to be too shiny for my tastes.
Among the most helpful reviews for the PET protector on Amazon there are these comments:
1.) Good product, but a pain to put on. Just the slightest piece of dust will cause an air bubble.
2.) According to the packaging, this item is "Finger print free" and "Bubble free application". I experienced both. I would NEVER purchase this product again or recommend it.
Just goes to show you that people will find something to complain about no matter what the product is.
Protectors Protect
My experience with screen protectors on cell phones is that they are only good to protect the screen from damage. All of them will show fingerprints, smudges, grease and oil. This is esp. true with a touch screen. it's like wearing glasses you got to clean them alot. So save time money and headache by putting a microfiber cloth in the bag with your Gtab.
I went with the Exim anti-glare screen protectors, but did have to wait for shipping from China. I bought a complete skinomi skin set, and promptly botched the wet application of the screen protector, but since I wanted the anti-glare it just meant a week wait for the Chinese Air Mail which I had already ordered.
Overall I like the Exim, it was easy to install without any bubbles, though you might want to trim the corners a bit as its a very tight fit. I ended up cutting them off after applying it because I had the screen on perfectly without a single dust mote making a raised area. I don't mind a poorly cut corner, but do wish I had just done a quick trimming beforehand as I wasn't perfectly centered.
2 for $12.99... Was worth the wait.
Hey Naieve,
does it really help with the anti glare issue? Also does it have any issues with the touch screen interface? Is the screen protector to thick that it doesnt detect your finger movement on the screen? Any help on the finger print issues haha?
It helps some with the glare, definitely diffuses the light, but it looks more like a compromise in between a clear protector and some of the very heavy anti-glare screen protectors I've seen. I like it because of this actually. As to issues with the touch screen, I spent some time googling before buying, and while I forget where I read it the fact is there is no difference while using this protector. Even a light touch still works just fine. I wonder if that is the reason this AG protector diffuses less light, as I have heard of some AG protectors being too thick and screwing up touch. It does still show fingeprints, but its not that bad and is easy to clean. Definitely less noticeable than just the screen itself.

I said I would update once my Aurum arrived. Like others have mentioned, there is no cutout for the camera or sensor - I don't know what effect that has nor do I really care. I never use the camera anyway.
The protector itself fits perfectly on the screen - it is so perfect that I had trouble aligning it properly and i would get halfway done installing it and notice it was running off the side of the screen slightly.
It took a few minutes to install because I did want it to be perfect. Now that it is installed I am really happy with it. My fingers slide better across the screen and there are far less fingerprints. I am happy with my purchase.

Skinomi Screen Protector Observations

I got interested in tablets in early 2011. Started with a Nook Color and modded it numerous times with custom ROMS. Progressed through a Viewsonic Gtablet, then an Acer A500, and now the Asus Transformer (the best!!). I have installed screen protectors on all these tablets, needed or not. I used the Acer A500 without one for awhile. It has Gorilla Glass (as the Asus TF101 does also) and I never had any problems with scratching it. For the most part I have used the dry apply static-type screen protectors. With the TF101 I decided to try a wet-apply, ala the Skinomi. I first ordered Skinomi's "DryTech" version. Skinomi originally sent the wet version by error. When notified they immediately sent the dry apply version (Their customer service is great although their order fulfillment is error prone and careless). I tried the dry apply version and I advise anyone to avoid this technique. It seems to me that the dry-apply version is really a wet-apply they say "can be" applied dry. Well, let me tell you that it is impossible to apply this screen protector. The adhesive is very sticky and makes it impossible to re-position after first laying it on the screen. After about 5 minutes I removed it and promptly threw it in the trash. Skinomi either sent me the wrong version and said it could be applied dry or this "dry-tech" technology is really impossible to apply to any degree of satisfaction.
However, to Skinomi's credit, I am a fan of their wet-apply screen protector. I also use the Skinomi Carbon Fiber skin and love it. The skin also comes with a wet-apply screen protector in the kit. After trashing the dry-tech version I decided to try the wet-apply. I watched several YouTube videos on how to apply (I recommend you watch this specific video and follow. It will make your application go very well). Basically, liberally applying the wet spray to your hands, the bare TF screen, the apply-side of the screen protector and the exposed side made this a fairly easy install. Once applied, all the spray makes it easy to position the protector. Using the two camera holes as a guide I got it positioned perfectly almost immediately. I then wrapped the squeegee with the microfiber cloth and began to smooth out and squeegee out the air bubbles wiping off the excess moisture at the edges constantly with another microfiber cloth (Walmart brand). The YouTube video was very helpful as it advocated a repetitive process of smoothing out the application by constantly going over the surface with the squeegee working from the center to the edge. After about 10 minutes of doing this, I had no big bubbles and a nice smooth surface. Of course there were plenty of micro bubbles and some imperfections. However, the documentation said that given 2-3 days, all of these would disappear. Lastly, I took a dry microfiber cloth and wiped down all the edges one last time removing any residual moisture, then carefully wiped down the protector surface one last time with just the cloth and not the squeegee being careful not to move move the protector. However, I found that by this time it was very firmly adhered already and there was no danger in sliding it off center.
Then, believing it to be important to let everything dry and settle, I put the tablet away on a closet shelf exposed to the air. I did not look at it for 48 hours. When I retrieved it after two days I was shocked at what I saw. The screen with its new protector was PRISTINE!! No bubbles, no imperfections, crystal clear and smooth. I powered up the TF101 and the screen was beautiful. I am so impressed with this screen protector and the technique to apply.
Since then (one week later), I have found the screen to be a bit less sensitive but it's really not a problem (EDIT: Sensitivity is good now, no difference from stock without protector. Use attached App - TouchscreenBooster.apk - to really improve your screen touch sensitivity!!). Probably most people would not even notice it. The screen protector seems to get easier to do finger swipes every day. I am convinced that this plastic film has to "cure" out, meaning it takes something like a week for all the moisture to totally dry out.
Also, be advised that this film is "soft" in that the slightest thing will leave an impression. Example, sometimes I leave my microfiber cloth covering the keys and close the hinge (like a laptop closed) at night. The next morning when I open up the Tablet/keyboard, the screen has an imprint of the microfiber cloth. After about 4 hours it goes away meaning that the imprinted image smooths itself out. I read on the BestBuy site that the ZAGG screen protector "heals itself" meaning that surface "dents" and maybe scratches eventually go away. This Skinomi wet-apply is the same way. In fact, after watching some videos of folks applying the ZAGG version I am convinced that the Skinomi and ZAGG screen protectors are basically the same product.
If you watch the YouTube videos on applying this screen protector I am a proponent of a DIY application. You can do it! If you want a screen protector for your TF101, then I recommend the Skinomi wet-apply. It does reduce finger prints and when applied properly is invisible. I am very satisfied with this product.
nice review
Totally agree , i have been in IT for 25 years , have had a new gadget in my hands near on every 6 months , from the days of the humble PDA to my futuristic Asus TF i have used numerous protective products , and none come even near to the Skinomi , i to have the Carbon Fibre skin for tablet and dock , and the wet fit screen guard , i cant recommend them enough , even there customer care should be a benchmark for other companys, the top cover didnt have a cut out for the logo , within 6 hours i had an email back telling me one had been shipped , i expected a single top tablet cover , no , they go and send me an entire kit top dock and screen guard , great product , great customer service , great review , id buy shares!
Good to see some skinomi love. Although I personally hate wet apply protectors, their skin breaths some nice life into the dull brown color of my great Asus TF.

TF300 Screen Protectors

Have had the TF300 for about a week and just cannot stand the fingerprints and worries about scratches. I'm used to Gorilla Glass and this is driving me nuts. I've been researching screen protectors quite a bit and cannot seem to get a consensus on a certain brand. I know the selection for the TF300 right now is slim, but given what you've used on earlier devices, what is a good brand to go with?
I have it in a case (Caseen Designo), but would like an extra layer of protection.
I've had good experiences with SGP's Steinheil screen protectors. I've used both the clear ones as well as the matte glare reduction/smudge resistant models and have been happy with both. The usual reduction in clarity is in the matte protector, but the cut was very precise and it lasted me a year before i took it off because i missed the crisp picture of the IPS panel, the protector was still pristine.
I just keep a microfiber and a small credit card style sprayer with 50/50 alcohol and water mix in the bag that i keep the tablet in, and its been alright so far, if you keep it in the dock most of the time you shouldn't have to worry about it being scratched unless you drop it or something, which i have yet to do since i also have a skinomi techskin on the back so its nice and grippy.
SGP doesn't make a protector for the TF300 yet, but i'd keep an eye on it, they make some solid products.
screen size is same as prime so protectors made for the prime should work.

You may want to check camera and light sensor placement before you put a prime screen protector on. They may be the same but it never hurts to check
Nothing else will work with the TF300 unfortunately.
I've been researching like crazy and think I've narrowed it down to:
Zagg
Stenheil
XtremeGuard
Those seem to get the best reviews. I'm really looking for:
same feeling as naked screen
optimal clarity
mitigates fingerprints
If you've never felt a zagg's wet apply film before i suggest you find someone who's got something similar to it and try it first, i see one of the criteria is feel close to naked screen, zagg and other wet apply soft skins usually feel grippy when you first install it, and gradually over time will wear out and feel smoother. In general there are the wet apply films which feel a bit like vinyl except its clear, or the dry apply protectors which are harder pieces of plastic, those will feel closer but nothing will be quite like a naked screen.
Is there big difference on screen sensitive between glossy and matte screen protector? or just you see difference of screen quality...
Thanks
I almost wonder if I might just be better off with a naked screen. I have my TF300 in a Caseen leather case and am always very careful when it's in use. The only thing I'd like to mitigate is the fingerprints.
Wait for a ClearCoat screen protector....i have tried every other brand and there is NOTHING like them. Super thin, no spongey feeling or orange peel....
I bought the xtremeguard one on ebay for 8.99 It fits great. The one I got isn't anti-glare though. One thing that kind bothers me, since I have never used a screen protection before, is that my fingers don't glide as easily as in the glass, it shows a bit of resistance. But I guess I just got to get used to that. I have not seen a reduction in screen sensitivity as of yet, but my dagi stylus kinda sucks now with the screen protector T_T since its plastic on plastic the resistance is really bad.
I like my skinomi. it takes forever to apply since it's wet application and if you're OCD about bubbles/lint like me. But once you've got it on there perfect and wait for it to dry and clear up it's not bad at all +lifetime guarantee.
I've always liked wet applications over the adhesive/static stuff just because they last a long time, and I havent noticed the yellowing people have talked about on any of my devices, I agree about the stylus issue, though (jot pro)
+1 for skinomi...
I used to swear by Zagg ...
Skinomi has only a slight orange peel effect and is generally smother except I agree it is still a nogo for the Jot pro as it doesn't let the plastic disk glide
after a while the Zagg invisible skins would start to keep my finger from sliding properly...
Skinomi skins do not have this issue and they dont show finger smudges very much
I want to try the Zagg HD skins as they are supposed to be glass smooth but they seem to only be out for iProducts and the kindle fire.....

It would be cool if the Zagg HD worked with plastic disk styluses

the lifetime warrenty requires you to pay for shipping and handling by paying for the shipping and they also ask that you put your cc# on a paper and send it in. kinda risky there.

This will pass eventually from wear, on my zune hd i used to have an invisible shield which is a similiar kind of wet apply soft protector, and eventually the center part wore down enough to where it was like a hard plastic protector.
You bring up a good point though that i forgot to mention, i've used matte hard protectors, clear hard protectors, and soft wet apply films and my adonit jot still works best on a naked screen, though the matte hard protector had more of a paper resistance to it and the clear and naked both were much smoother.
Szpaner: the touchscreen sensitivity for me was largely the same between a clear hard protector and matte hard protector, i wasn't able to glide as well with the wet apply film so i wasn't able to gauge properly how sensitive it was compared to the other two.
mfratella: a light coat of rain-x on the naked screen helps make it much easier to wipe clean, i can breathe on it once or twice and the condensation is good enough to clear the whole screen. Even with the matte hard protectors which are supposed to be designed to be anti-fingerprint, they will still show up eventually from the oils in your finger, those spots will end up being a little more transparent so you'd have to wipe anyway, though in my experience the matte ones are the easiest to wipe, i used to just use my sleeve and give it a once over and it was all clean.

When I've used a matte screen protector, I didn't notice any difference in screen sensitivity. The biggest difference is in the clarity of the screen. On a phone, I can deal with the graininess that a matte screen protector brings with it. But on a tablet with a large screen, something that I'm going to use for long periods of reading, it's far too distracting for me. Personally, I'd rather work around glare now and then along with wiping off finger prints in exchange for a clearer screen.
Screen protectors compatible with dock?
The Armorsuit people replayed on an email I sent them asking if their screen protector was compatible with the keyboard for the TF300.. it appears it is not. They answered me just to be careful... so I was planing on cuting it. these screen protector is actually pretty good, and I think that I wont even notice the protector end-line at the bottom of the screen after a while. Do you know if cutting it actually works?
I just installed the Skinomi on mine. Took about 5 minutes and it's perfect. Just gotta makes sure you soak the hell out of the screen (you won't damage it) and both sides of the protector plus your hands so that you don't leave finger prints on the adheasive. If you have enough of the solution on everything it should kinda float on the surface of the tablet. You can just very easily slide it around until it is center and then start pushing the water out to make it stick. I didn't have one bubble on mine when completed.
The Zagg is now avail at best buy . No issues with the stylus either. Now all i need is a case im comfortable with.

[VIDEO] HTC One Max Glass Screen Protector Install - Nillkin

Usually I turn to Spigen for glass screen protectors. Unfortunately, they didn't create any products for this device. So I turned to eBay and found the Nillkin available for $16 shipped.
Glass screen protectors have pros and cons. It acts like a second skin. You can barely see the protector on the screen. It does add a little thickness and can interfere with certain cases. It will protect your screen, but it can break as well. Better for it to absorb some of the impact than your screen. It can scratch as well. Finding these locally is difficult.
The ZAGG invisibleSHIELD will protect your screen, but it is known for the orange peel effect (sometimes looks like the surface of an orange). Others note rainbowing can occur (you see red green and blue if you look closely depending on the type of invisibleSHIELD). It is highly resistant to scratching and cutting. The material kind of has a memory to it. With the Note 3, it held the marks from the stylus for a LONG time. Readily available at Best Buy and other outlets.
Plastic screen protectors are usually pretty clear. They will protect your screen, but sometimes I have a hard time making sure all of the bubbles get out when applying. I guess all are not created equally because the one I purchased from the Verizon store actually worked pretty well. You'll see me removing it in the video. There was a little bit of a color distortion if you looked at it from the right angles. Appeared that the adhesive material was causing it. Available almost everywhere.
With a beautiful 5.9" screen, I do encourage you to try a glass screen protector. If you're going naked. You are much more brave than me. I tried this once with a Note 3 and the scratches eventually came. Gorilla glass is resistant to scratches, but is no match to a little time in a pocket with keys, change, etc.

Had this one for a couple of weeks now and it is fantastic! Clear as a bell, smoother than the original glass, and hides, fingerprints, smudges, and makes the screen even more vivid than stock!! Get one of these, you will thank me later!!
