Market Issues 2.3.4 - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After installing 2.3.4, I can no longer access the full market. Can anyone help?
Normally where it says AT&T, now it says My Apps.

Mine also says My Apps, thats what the generic market is suppose to say. Our original one was AT&T branded. Not sure why this one isn't. My market works fine though, what aren't you able to access? Do you have the content filtering set right in the settings?

application settings -> Unknown sources

[Q] Apps not accessing Wi-Fi

Has any one else had this happen? I have added apps to an stock ROM which went through the official upgrade. The browser works fine but the apps which need internet access are showing up as being denied. I check the permission but it still shows that the app in question have permission to access the internet. I have used several of these on other devices with no problem. One of them was the preloaded Kindle app. The device is one of the Woot specials. I have not had time to change it from stock yet and besides at first glance it seemed to be working fine.

[Q] Where is my device in web based market?

I have read nearly all the "Market Fix" threads and can't find an answer to this. And I have tried searching as well, but pulled no results from the gTablet forums, so my apologizes if this seems like a double post of something already discussed.
When I access the Android Market via my pc, it says that I do not have any devices and can not install from there. I can merely browse. Now when I first flashed Vegan 5.1.1, I saw my device but now it's gone. I have not changed my account since I started and signing out and back in has not resolved this.
Also is it normal to have to apply the "fix" on a regular basis? Even before my device disappeared from my web settings, I have noticed a few times that my Market web searches often show results my Market app does not.
Thanks.
Does your tablet still have access to the Market?
While it's not typically needed to do the fix "again", I have read and experienced it myself where the Market seems to have reset itself back to its pre-fixed state.
This happened to me when the Market updated itself from 2.x to 2.x1 or whatever version it pushed down. I had to do the Market Fix again after that....this time quite a few times to make it work.
The Market on your device is designed to show you what apps are available for your device (ie hardware features and OS version) while the view you see from the Web is everything, regardless of hardware/OS version.
Do your Market Fix until you have a significantly "full" market and download something from the Market on your device. Check back on the web and see if you see it.
I've switched ROMs and such and still see my device (though it's name/info has changed on the website).
Thaks for your reply.
The market is accessible from my gTab, the device just does not show up via the web Market (either from pc or DolphinHD).
My big concern is that I will be upgrading my phone to a HTC Inspire this week and I want to make sure the apps I have purchased will be available when I add the new phone. If I don't have a device in the web store, will it effect my ability to get to all my apps?
As long as you use the same gmail account on your phone you should be able to get all the apps you purchased.
Not sure why your tablet does not show on the web market. We have 2 phones and the gtab on the same account, and they all show up on the web.
Maybe you find a solution in google help https://market.android.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=1141080 or the tab magically shows up once you have your phone.

Missing apps in market...

Hi everyone,
Since Saturday a happy Galaxy SII user, but coming from a LG Optimus 2x I notice something strange:
I miss some(?) apps in the market.
e.g. Flitsieflitsie, ikea, tubemate...
The LG finds them in the market and my desire found them as well.
I know there are market fixes around, but I am not rooted yet and have no plans yet to do it because of warranty reasons.
Ridiculous that certain apps are blocked.
Anyone noticing this too?
I bought it from the T-Mobile shop in the Netherlands, they did not put any branding on as far as I am aware.
Does the language choice influence anything?
Have you tried market-enabler http://code.google.com/p/market-enabler/downloads/detail?name=MarketEnabler.apk
Root needed for market enabler
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Same thing here, I cannot see some apps in the market (Evernote, Slice It! etc). If I try to follow some market links from the internet, the market just says that the program is not found. Also they're not found with the Market search.
I've tried clearing Market cache and data, booting, updated firmware etc.
Phone is a rooted KE7, bought from Expansys UK and I'm using it in Finland. Tried to change areas with MarketEnabler, no go, still some apps doesn't show up. There's huge amount of software showing up though, just some specific apps are missing. I just confirmed that they show up on a friends SGS2.
Any ideas how to fix this? Maybe I should try a factory reset, but I really wouldn't want to do that if it's not absolutely necessary.

Thanks jje, but that doesn't really help. The download links in appbrain point to android market, in which they cannot be found with the device. Additionally I cannot install the AppBrain-app, because it's among the apps I cannot find in market.
When clicking direct market links, market just says "The requested item could not be found."
Even if I could use the appbrain application, I'd like to fix the root problem.
Anyone got similiar issues? Or suggestions about fixing it?
Well, did a factory reset and that resolved the issue, now the market shows all apps.
As an afterthought, latest version of Titanium Backup wasn't able to restore any of my datas, just apps. I just got a error message that said "Unable to restore data" or somesuch.
Downgrading Titanium Backup to one version prior fixed this issue, and I could restore my backups.
this method works and is easier:

[Q] apps not available on market

Does anyone have issues with quite a few apps on the market not available to install on i5500? Some of the apps I've tried to download from market seem like they would be available for this device, example searching for yahtzee games, about 1/3 are not able to install. I thought maybe it was a screen size issue or similar. Recently I wanted to install Auto Memory Manager and it's ghosted out in the available devices menu. I left a note on the devs blog and he stated that there is no restrictions, yet I can't install it. Is this an issue with the Market, i5500 or the devs?
yeah i have the same,
its for like the half of the apps wich i want i cant install...
thats also why i use Applanet, because than i sill can install them
Ok I downloaded that app, but I can't seem to search. Or both apps I'm looking for aren't on there.
Well the dev for AMM asked what version of android I'm running, so apparently there is some sort of restriction or he wouldn't have asked. I'm suspecting devs mark apps for US phones and the i5500 probably isn't labled as one. Any devs know how the app restrictions work?
This is due to the Galaxy 5 having a small screen resolution so only a few apps show up....for the HTC Vogue it was fixed so i guess that it can be fixed somehow....
I already posted this question on MAD Team forums but no one replied : http://www.madteam.co/forum/index.php?/topic/511-full-android-market/
Ther than that it could also be due to the region of your Market....to fix this just use Market Enabler to fake your region
Did you try "market enabler" from the market? I dont know if its the screen size but it brings more selections of apps onto my X10. Just a thought.....

I installed this app onto my friends 2.2 ROM on his galaxy 5. I believe it was also possible on 2.1. He is using a north american ROM. Try the app I posted above me and see if it works.

I tried downloading market enabler, but I get the message that it's not available for my device as well. So it appears another one of my issues is not having a carrier and using my i5500 as a pmp/pda with only wifi.
Any update on this problem?
Android Market is running a great sale (lots of popular apps for $0.10) and I can't buy almost any of them.. Specifically - Paper Camera, SketchBook, Great Little War Game, MineCraft etc.
These apps are not searchable and when I'm trying to buy from web page, I get error "Item not compatible with your device".
I live in Australia, until today was using I5500LUYJP2 firmware. Today I also tried a bunch of other firmwares for Asia, Europe, Telstra Australia, also tried "Market Enabler", but nothing helped.
So is it something wrong with my phone or just all these apps require higher screen resolution?
I say the screen size. Some may need multitouch but the main reason is because developers don't bother with our phone, because its not very new or popular.
I tried them games too, kinda bummed as its only for a while and I'm getting my x play for xmas. Ah well

Screen size, multitouch, lack of hardware resources(we have an anemic RAM), or sometimes just 'cuz they didnt test it with our phones yet. Most apps not available on the market still so work with our phones, just download the .apk files (search for them on google), push them to your SD card, and select them from your file manager. (you need to enable "Unknown Sources" in Setting->Applications). Even though this may work for most apps, some are still not compatible, so even the apk files wont work either.

Ha.. so I guess carrier truly is disabled…

I was on market.android.com the other day, browsing around… and I noticed my list of downloaded “installed” applications for my google account includes some apps that I have not had installed in a long time, even since my last phone. The market thinks they are still installed…
The only thing I could accredit this anomaly to would be the fact that since carrier IQ is disabled they have no idea what I am doing with these apps after I download them, so their systems assume they are still installed.
Anybody else want to verify seeing the same thing? You have to check from your browser.
Also, just to verify, I tried manually installing one from the site and it didn’t allow me because “application is already installed on your device” lol
It's not carrier IQ doing that, I've had that problem since the launch of the Market website with the OG EVO.
Google Needs to fix the Market's web syncing.
Fail sauce
um... you sure you didnt just use the same email... please don't tell me its that much fail sauce.
