[REQ] sound amplify app - Galaxy 3 Themes and Apps

Is there an app that uses the microphone of the phone records sound and play's it amplified at the same time? (Makes the sound louder). So you can for example hear someone speaking while he's at the other side of the street or in another room. Or you can use it to hear animals (like birds) better outside...

[Q] Static in Volume buttons

During music play, has anyone else noticed small amount of static when changing volume. This happens to me particularly when increasing the volume control. However, it is very inconsistent. When I say static, I mean there is a volume increase (or decrease) with some amount of "other" sound added in. This was not something I noticed with my ipod touch and was just curious if anyone else has this or it's a hardware or software issue.
Do you see when playing music through the speaker only, or with earphones as well?
Speaker is not clear enough to hear if there is any audible noise during volume increase or decrease. . . also hear it when using other music players such as cubed. Also, I was listening through my earphones to Avatar and even though the audio is very clear, when increasing and decreasing the volume I still hear what I guess is better described as a small pop instead of static. That might be a better description for the music noise as well.
Static, crackle, pop
I've been listening to audio books on my Vibrant lately and I've noticed this happening a lot. I've heard it through headphones and I have even heard popping / crackling on the speaker when it plays notification sounds.
Did this turn out to be a defect or is it an issue that everyone has occassionally but just ignores?
Thanks
Does this happen when using the on-screen volume control in the music app or only the rocker button?
Mine will actually crackle even when I'm not touching it.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Yes mine too. It will sporadically "skip" in all music players whether I'm using headphones or not.
Vibrant vibrating nicely now,Kthx!

Beats Audio

Hi, I can`t say that I`m a fan of beats audio but without it, the phone lacks a bit of bass impact, this is compared to an siii, ipod touch 3g and ipad 2, the volume is also very low without beats with the 4th notch equal to the first on the siii but that is fine since I like listening to my music softly. However whenever I enable beats audio there is a distinct increase in background noise that doesn`t really affect rock music but does classical and such. This is especially annoying in the gallery app where you cannot turn off enhancers but rather choose between htc enhancer and beats with the htc enhancer increasing bass to the point that everything sounds boomy and echoes. Does everyone have this issue with beats and if so how do we fix this?
TURN BEATS OFF ALWAYS.
Beats Audio is just essentially an EQ setting that is being hyped for marketing. To get the best sound, you need to do equalization based on your listening device, ideally at the amplifier, not the source. For example, audio will sound a lot different in your car than in your living room. So you want the source (the phone) to output a flat, unchanged signal, then adjust the EQ (or tone controls) on your car stereo or home receiver to make it sound best.
Now I'm guess you are probably talking about listening to music on headphones which is a different story, since the headphones don't have an EQ. In that case, just use a music player app (like PowerAmp) that allows you to adjust the EQ in the playback software. You could actually save different profiles: headphones, car, living room to switch between them. Problem with that is, then say you are watching a movie in your living room instead of playing music on your phone, then the movie may not sound optimal. That's why it's best to have the source material unchanged and do the equalization at as close to the amplification device as possible.
The only value of Beats is as a fashion statement for today's young people.

Hi-Q MP3 Recorder

Not being familiar with recording apps I'd like any thoughts on the "best" recorder app.
The Hi-Q MP3 surprised me by picking up voices from another room then the room where the phone is.
You can lay the phone down on a surface (up or face down) and the recorder captures voices within an amazing range
You may know of apps even better than this one.
Thanks.

Looking for a Specific Sound Recording App

Hi! I'm looking for a specific sound recording app which:
1. Records what sound my Phone releases (either via Speaker or Headset)
while
2. Not recording the background sounds (or white noises, specifically).
also
3. Saves the recorded song as an MP3 (or even better, a High-Quality MP3 Sound Recorder)
Reasons:
I'm playing this awesome Japanese Rhythm Music game and I love this one song, but when I tried finding the Song in Google as an MP3, I couldn't find it...
So I tried recording it via those Recording App on Play Store, but when I finished recording, they also recorded white noises (cars driving, people talking including me).
I want to record only what sound my Phone purely releases, and not with any white noises... Anybody care to suggest some of them?

[Q] [Q/discussion] real time sound input and output during calls?

we all know that android(till lollipop i hope) has this (lack of)real time audio issue.
if you tried any "real time" voice altering software you have probably noticed that there is about half a second delay between the real you and the headphones output of your voice.
so how comes that during calls there is no such delay and you can hear yourself in the headphone simultaniously with the real you?
and another thing. why is that when you try to activate sounds during calls(such as music or effects) they sound low quality like the call itself?
are there two sound engines within android?
can android use both at the same time? (the good quality music togather with the ****ty quality voice call?)
i'd love to understand the way android handles sound a lil deeper thank you in advance.
