Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 Audio Problem - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ever since I got the cyanogenmod, my audio has been coming out of the ear speaker instead of the actual speaker phone. Everytime I call someone, it starts to work correctly again, but the problem comes back at random times. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Headphone problem

Hey there folks. I'm looking for some type of script or adb command to over-ride the headphones for every sound when they're plugged in. When using cyanogenmod I found a CM setting, under the sound sub menu, that allows me to over-ride the headphones on particular sounds. This makes me believe there has to be a way to do it for every sound including music and phone calls. Any insight or direction would he appreciated. Thanks

Settings->CM Settings->Sound Settings. I think this is what you might be looking for and it's on all Froyo Vanilla ROMs that are CM based. Check the section titled "Note." It says all of those settings are applied only when headphones are being used. They seem to be what you're looking for. Hope this helps.

I appreciate your response but unfortunately that's what I already do lol with those settings I can enable alarms, notifications, and ringtone. My hope is that since cyanogenmod has those options, there has to be a way to apply that to the few things I still can't hear unless my headphones are in. This would include any/all music apps, hearing who Calls me without having to use speaker phone, and game/app sounds/music. I know my speaker can still play music because one day I was listening to music(with headphones of course!) And got a call. So I unplug my headphones and pick up the call n press speakerphone. Well, after the call when I hit end, I heard a split second of the song I was listening too beforehand on the speaker. That gives me hope that I can eventually overcome this. PS.- none of the headset overide apps in the market work.

[Q] Low call volume using headphones

Morning all,
Love this phone, love love love. What I'm worried about though is the in call volume on headphones. Doesn't matter whether I'm using the supplied Samsung ones or a set of Sony ones the volume is so low that the person at the other end is in audible.
I have no problems with volume on anything else (as in music player on in call volume using the actual phone)
Anyone else experiencing this or am I just very unlucky.
I've noticed this too. When having earphones plugged in the call volume is just too low. Last night I had to plug mine out and xall again because I couldn't hear her properly. Good point

this is absolutely the worst news possible, because i make 99% of all my calls with my headset. you guys are saying it is not usable? most of my calls are on the freeway with loud raod noise.
Post on here somewhere secret codes for volume ++

Not sure about volume with the earpieces with mic that came with the sgs2 but my sony earphones volume was quite low during call. I get calls when I'm listening to music a lot.

this app seems to have fixed it for me give it a try it ups the headset volume over default levels.. works fine for my sgs ii
i think you may need to be rooted to use it but not sure
Does it have HAC mode? Setings > Call settings > HAC mode. I set that on my SGS to increase call volume.
+1 on the issue, will try the apk tmo

I wonder if this is connectd to another very frustrating problem I've just discovered. When I go out running, I normally have Spotify playing in the background and CardioTrainer occasionally prompting me with updates on how badly I'm doing. Worked fine on my old Galaxy S, now I can't hear the updates over the music because they are so quiet. I've tried fiddling with all the settings, and have also tried Endomondo and SportsTracker and they all seem to have the same problem. Anyone else tried this?
Fixed in latest update

Hey champ, you said this was fixed in the latest update but I just got my galaxy last week from Vodafone Australia and mine has this issue. What update fixed yours and does anyone else know about any fixes?
Fixed? In which update?
Hey,
I have this problem on my (sim-less) SGS2, and no update is available.
Any version number?
i'm having the same problem too. i currently use the stock headset, and am thinking of getting a BT headset as i get calls while driving. tried the app, did not help.
can someone one please help? it will be even better if voodoo sound is developed for i9100. *fingers crossed*
yep. same problem here!
Noticed it as well - on headphones Senn PX 100 II - very annoying (have to plug out the phones each time)
Also noticed the volume problem. The overall voice call quality is not great either. Can someone confirm if the apk. fix helped and if it needs the root access?

problem with bluetooth headset

anyone have problem with the x10 screen while picking up phone calls using bluetooth headset? everytime i pick up phone calls using bluetooth my x10 screen will turn on. this is very annoying because if the phone is in my pocket with screen on, it will accidentally touch the screen to do something, like hanging up the call, mute, speaker, etc... is there a way to NOT turn on the screen while picking up phone calls using bluetooth??
i tried it with SE MW600 and samsung WEP450. both have this problem. currently using 2.1 eclair. i never have this problem with 1.6 donut...
please help!!
Anyone help??

It behaves like this on all stock 2.1 ROMs. Let's hope it will be handled in gingerbread upgrade.

[Q] cm9 ringtone on head phones/ car aux wire

Im not sure if any one else has this problem. I tried to search the forum to get a solution. But cudnt find any. I was using cm9 stable build last week and faced this weird problem that while listenin to music in car, my phone didnt play the ringtone when someone was calling me. Had the phone placed on the other seat and later saw that i had 5missed calls and my phone didnt pause the music to play the ringtone and it only vibrated. Tried using stock earphones. Still the same. The phone was only vibrating even though the sound wasnt selected to be off. Can anyone help?

[Q] Mic not working except when using speaker phone

I've had this problem for the last few weeks where if I try to record something or for example try to listen to a song using Sound Hound it doesn't appear to be detecting any external sounds. Currently I am on the newest Avatar rom which I love but this also happened on the AOSP xXx 1/9/13 rom. Any ideas?
When you are in a call try turning off Noise Reduction.
Thanks. That was it. In fact I tried this last night and was pleased to see it worked. I appreciate that you took the time to respond.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Problem is that noise reduction re-enables itself and you have to turn it off for every call. But at least you know where to start looking to fix the issue.
To add.....what kind of case do you have on your phone? At the top of your phone you will see a small hole about an inch from your audio out jack. That is the 2nd mic used for noise reduction. Do you have it blocked?
