I didn't have it Pre-Ordered so I am hoping the phone is still stocked at stores. I can't decide on the the cheaper Wal-Mart/Amazon 2yr Activation, or the enticing Sprint Credit of $125 for Porting my number. I definately know I am going with the Evo 3D though as My G2X is being sold today (Already found a buyer).
Honestly I can wait if stock is completely out since I have a backup Nexus One, but I don't think I will miss my G2X. Great phone provided it stayed powered on and my GPS could lock, but I can't continue to go through G2Xs until the White Buffalo (2.3 with fixes) pushed. Just my luck, it will days after It's gone from my hands, but judging from what I have read about the 3D, I don't think I will care.
Basically, just inquiring as to what deal could be better.
It's hard to beat the 125 dollar port-in credit. On top of that, you get 300 bonus minutes if you sign up for the everything data 450 plan, that offer expires the end of June if I'm not mistaken.
Dude so is this is a new line of service? Definitely go with the $125 port credit, that'll beat anything else.
Since the price difference is $105, and since Sprint always ships their phones HELLA fast, you can basically use the difference to
(1) buy a great $50 case (otterbox, etc)
(2) get 15 months of $7 insurance, or
(3) get super drunk.
totally worth ordering thru sprint. I'm assuming the stores are sold out? Because if not, they'll do the $125 port credit too and then it's instant gratification
ALSO, never forget to try and find out if you're eligible for any discounts--for example, since I'm a USAA member (not an employee, just a account holder!) they give 15% off the entire bill!
Best,
the Panamaniac
Oh ok, thanks for the heads up on the USAA discount. I practically live through USAA so I will make sure they give me my 15% discount.
$125 Port-In credit then. I am going to check store inventory today and setup service there before I try online (I like instant gratification, 2-5 days delivery is too much torture!).
I've been told that sprint stores were suppose to get more shipped to them on Monday. If you want it, call the stores an ask. I did when I wanted to exchange the Nexus S during my 30 day period.
i havent seen this posted anywhere but if you are switching to sprint this is something to consider:
Sprint EPRP
Sprint Employee E-Mail Address + CID for EPRP Plans (SERO Replacements)
After seeing repeated requests for Sprint Employee E-Mail Addresses and the Last 3 Digits of the Employee's ID Number (CID) to get Sprint's Everything Plus Referral Program Plans (which replaced SERO), here is an employee's information that was intentionally made public:
URL: Sprint | Everything Plus(SM) Referral Program
E-Mail: [email protected]
Last 3 of CID: 383
(Reference: http://mcguireslaw.com/2008/07/16/ps...erything-plus/.)
This information was made public by Russ Mcguire on 7/16/08, and is posted on this forum so potential and existing Sprint customers who are interested in getting an Everything Plus Referral Program Plan can get one. (I know there is at least one other Sprint Employee E-Mail Address & CID made public by Sprint a few months ago so the general public can access EPRP Plans, but I can't find that article anymore. I'll post it in this thread once I find it.)

FYI if you order from Sprint.com or telesales before 4pm est chances are you will have the phone the next day if it's in Stock. That being said if your local store has it go get it there.
Can I convert my current account to the EPRP using the above information?

EPRP gets no discounts on top of it. So if you have a discount you might be better off that way. Last time I switched I went from the Old Sero to EPRP so they didn't make it that hard, not sure how easy it will be to take a regular account to EPRP though. Can't hurt to call.
Thanks for the replies and information everyone. I found a Sprint kiosk in my local mall that participated in the Port-In Credit (Sprint Corporate store down the street told me the promotion had ended.) and purchased my Evo 3D along with getting my USAA discount.
I have to say, this phone is really impressive. Coming from my G2X the performance wasn't mind blowing, but I feel much more comfortable with this phone than I did with my G2X. Don't get me wrong, my G2X was monster of a phone, as long as it wasn't having major issues but I think I like the 3D better long after the newness of the phone wears off and I actually don't mind the Sense UI. Not sure if I will ever purchase an LG Smartphone again after the way things have been handled in regards to the G2X.
Looking forward to the unlocked bootloader soon and seeing what the Dev community has in store for this beast.

Big deal, stick to Radioshack or Bestbuy and they honor it on the spot. I used to dread getting a new phone when I only went to the Sprint store...for many reasons...that wasn't even one of 'em. Not to mention no restocking fees to worry about.
That and the Sprint store near my house is staffed by potentially the most inept bunch of fools I've ever seen. I've gone in for screen protectors and stood in line for 20 effin' minutes while the entire store piled up with more people...there was only one person in line in front of me...fully staffed store...and it was like nothing was moving at all. It's amazing that they get anything done at all.
Sure, I could have left, but I was ironically entertained at how awful the experience was. I just had to see how far it went on for. I'll never go back there again...for anything...

Must vary greatly then. My local store has great staff. Knowledgeable, courteous, and really the best customer experience I've had in years! I went to Best Buy just 2 days prior to the 3vo launch and was told I'd have to pay full price minus a measly $75. Apparently at Best Buy, you don't get the premier silver full upgrade override, $125 line porting credit (my wife was still with AT&T), and a 10% discount for being a AAA or credit union member. Best Buy knew nothing about ANY of those deals and I would have been screwed royally had I bought from any place other than the Sprint store. They overrode my early upgrade and made it a full upgrade, gave me the $125 porting credit for the second phone, the 10% discount on my monthly bill, and I walked out with two 3vo's... FREE after all the discounts. I would have paid over $500 at Best Buy and I bet Radio Shack too.
Not to mention the fact that when I brought back one of the 3vo's to exchange it due to the crooked screen problem, they let me sit down in the repair room with the new one, boot it up, and evaluate the screen for dead pixels and to confirm it wasn't crooked before I even made the exchange.
This is probably one of those things where service varies greatly depending on your location in the U.S.

Hello,
I too prefer purchasing my Phones from the Sprint Store and was so excited when they had done away with Mail in Rebates. It is greatly disappointing that they have reverted. Another advantage to purchasing from the Store is you can Bill directly to your Account. I hated having to send the Rebate for my 4G to El Paso, TX and waiting 6 Weeks for it to come.
Cheers,
JJ

I'm sure everyone's experience will vary greatly from place to place...but my Sprint store is worth avoiding. Typically I get my phones from Radioshack 'cuz I'm buddies with the chicks that work there. They hook me up with deals, I hook them up with nerd advice and help. One of them wanted a rooted Evo, so, we swapped Evo's and I used hers to trade up to the NS4G, and then up the the E3D (again). The only reason I went to Best Buy is 'cuz RS doesn't get the NS4G. Too bad the radio on that phone is the worst I've ever seen cuz otherwise it's an amazing little single core phone.
I've heard nightmares from all around. The RS always gets all discounts applied, and then some. The Best Buy also had absolutely no trouble giving me up reverting me back to Gold status....but BB aren't my buddies...YMMV from store to store of course, but, aside from the mall Sprint kiosk and 1 manager at the corp store I have never dealt with a Sprint employee that knew what the hell was going on...

That's crazy. I have the horrible backlight bleed around the buttons and a damn crooked screen, and I asked a rep at the store where I bought it from (corporate store) if I could exchange it for a new one because of the backlight bleed, of course she said no. On top of that, I couldn't even open a box of another one and power it up without activating it, just to see if it had the bleed or not.
I was really pissed.
Sprint is going back to MIR but this time around its a little different. All phones under the price $149.99 will have a $50 mail in rebate. So the 3vo and the new Motorola phone will still be instant.
Sent from that one guy with that one phone
correct, from what I read on on sprintusers, the 3vo will not be impcted with instant rebates
Just received $150.00 credit on bill. My GNOTE was an initial early preorder/upgraded contract.
Premiere Business Acct
The goal here is to NOT have agents run around looking for answers on how to go about. YOUR CHANCES ARE 10X BETTER if you request nicely to even accept a credit on your acct for a $150.00
Reason Being; Agents mostly have the power to do that instanty.
Also marks an easy, instant customer satisfaction score call.
STEER them to ATG&T.com
Let them know the phone is offerred for 50% off. Its tyhe first phone featured clearly on the sales page.
You will get a run around. I was transferred about 4x.
Until one agent said no prob.
Good Luck!
Where is the link to this page?
Did you call Premier or Business Care (611)?
Yes ..I contacted Premeir as they are the ones who ordered the phone for me.
Throw that option out foremost when speaking to an agent; about credit your bill.
Make it light & easy for them. You will indeed get it done along the line somewhere.
Premier DEFINETLY has all the power to instanly issue an immediate credit!
How we know if we premier?

Discounted price shows up after you 'add to cart'
I just did the same, my upgrade was pre ordered through Premier online on 2/5/12.
Called 611, told them about my recent purchase and obvious disappointment in the rapid price drop of my new device - and that I'd like a credit to reflect the difference. They asked what I paid, how much it's selling for on AT&T.com and proceeded to issue a "one time only exception" credit to my account. Done deal, had to be on silent hold for a bit and the CSR confirmed the credit was applied to my account...$155 positive credit on my account since they were nice enough to credit me the tax =P
All worth it for a $150 Galaxy Note!
This does not apply to upgrades they said, it is only if you added a line or opened a new line. I guess being a loyal customer for so many years means nothing if you are not new business.
help! quickly!
I'm trying to get a 150 credit, but theyre saying that since i bought it in the store, i would have to return it to the best buy and then go online and buy it at the discounted price.
im telling them that i ported my number over from sprint and what would i do with my number if i brought the phone back but shes saying that theres nothing she can do!!!....
im asking for a superviser.. can somone help..
I too got the $150 credit but in a different way. I upgraded and have a premier acct.
I did not call but rather went to the local ATT store. I had my original G-Note invoice and a copy of the ATT checkout shopping cart showing the 50% discount on a new order for a G-Note. I indicated that this wasn't right after less than 1 week and that I really didn't want the hassle of returning the phone and ordering a replacement at the discounted price.
I was very nice throughout and even commiserated with the woman helping me because she was shuttled around to 4 different parties within the internal ATT web order service center over a 20 minute period.
Eventually she just got her manager who explained to me that they were not going to be able to get it resolved with the on-line folks and simply issued my account a $150 credit.

That's what I'm worried is going to happen if I try
I got a $75 credit for not getting my Note on time. I will stay happy with that and not get greedy. $225 for the Galaxy Note is still a great deal, seeing as I paid $249 for my SkyRocket.
But good luck to those who try getting this credit
I'm ordering mine today, this wont work for regular upgrade right?

I just called att the second time today and WOW! $250 credit from my sky rocket and note! Although the rep said it needs to be approved since it was a big credit refund and takes about 4-5 business days before it reflects my account. Hopefully I will get my refund back. Btw, premiere account here also, both phones are upgrade.

Simple and painless $150.00 credit!
Wow this worked for me right away without hiccups. Around a 10 minute phone call with ATT CSR (nice lady). I just told her that I purchased the Note 2-days ago for 299.99 and today I've seen the 50% promo that drops the price to 149.99, and If if I can receive a credit for the difference. She said "please hold on sir", came back and advised me that she can issue a one-time credit for 150.00 back to my account with no questions asked and without confirming I had actually purchased the Note, at all! I actually purchased through AmazonWireless (they refused any price matching or adjustments unless the price drops on their site in the near future).
I was not being stern or sounding angry. Just professional.
I am premier and the phone was an upgrade through Amazon Wireless @$249.95
I dialed 611 and got connected to Enterprise CSR without any transfer to other CSR's!
Thanks to OP for this advise! And am happy with my SGN (ceramic white) for $100 plus 2-year extended contract of course and additional 181 day EFT @Amazon Wireless

I called 611 the other day to see if they could match a different 50% offer that was found online...they quickly said no because it was a promo for add a line or new customers. Quick history lesson, i bought an infuse last year under upgrade, its been replaced 5 times. I got real fed up and told them I'd cancel unless they replaced it with a different device, they said they could not do that but they would however allow my 2nd line to upgrade some 8 months early. I called 611 a few days ago to get everything in order when they told me because of my situation i need to upgrade that line directly thru them which meant i couldnt purchace at my local retail store (drag) so today i called 611 to place my order and i referenced this new 50% deal, he said i most likely wouldn't qualify...i said whatever that's fine. As we were about to close the deal over the phone he told me that he can't process the upgrade cuz his system is under maintenance and to call back tomorrow. I called back in 5 minutes and started over. I again mentioned the promo than they transferred me to premier. The lady had no problem giving me the 50% off plus free priority shipping plus free activation. Had i ordered yesterday or even earlier today when the first dude had system problems i would have paid 299+15 shipping and 30 activation fee, i ended up paying $157 all said in done. Pretty nice savings if you ask me.

The fact that Sprint has not set a street date yet is scary to think about.I pre ordered on May 7th and have no idea when I will ever see my purchase.I thought for sure it would be in stores by Friday but it seems I may be way off...
Either the new arrivals have to be inspected just like the 1st batch or there is a major shortage on the S4 Chips or its a combination of both.I feel us who pre ordered in Stores not called Best Buy won't see our phones for 2-3 week minimum.

So what are your thoughts..im at a loss of words here..How do you go from a national launch date of May 18,putting stupid little memos out to your stores about opening early and having launch parties to a one week delay, sent out pre orders and SCREW any local sprint stores you went to and pre ordered your phone from?
I don't understand and wish we could know more about what is going on instead of being left in the dark.Because as it stands they have my money collecting interest and I have no god damn clue when I will see my purchase.(yes i pre ordered but i paid the full amount)
i went to the sprint store to buy a case and they were all excited to see the phone and the ppl their told me national release is next week. take that with a grain of salt
I'm another one following closely. I even paid 115$ to get my upgrade date pushed up so when I buy this phone I will get it for the upgrade price...Anyway I didn't pre order it because I have the Evo3d and was gonna stay with it because I didn't think it was that much of an upgrade...anyhow I just cracked the screen on my 3d from dropping it...so I figured instead of paying 100$ to get a refurbished Evo3d I midas well just get the lte...So thats what I'm going to do...
So I'm waiting for it to hit the stores..whenever that will be...I see Bestbuy is still taking preorders but what I'm worried about is that the phone will hit the stores before I get my preorder...but I just don't know...I'm not sure if I should just wait for the stores to start selling it or preorder it from best buy..
Any thoughts??
That sucks Brian. I do know there is an impending S4 shortage. The US version of galaxy 3 will have s4 too, rumors are iPhone 5 also
I'd be ecstatic if launch was this weekend or next week
Someone posted a number on the bestbuy thread. It gave me the run around to preorder at stores or online. Online says to call the number or go to a store. Gonna try a store after dinner

i too am awaiting sprint stores to carry the phone so i can use an upgrade. i was hoping i wouldn't have to wait long
Good venting topic. I could not pre-order from Sprint online because my upgrade elegibility only reset on May 18. I could not pre-order from 3rd parties because I have a SERO plan. Now BestBuy store pre-orders are being filled while the Sprint corporate store where I'm on the Device Waiting List for EVO LTE tells me that maybe they'll have them next week. Should have just pre-ordered at BB and gone through the pain of activating a phone on a SERO line there. I sure hope this merits at least a waived activation fee once the phones are actually available.
I still believe that most of us pre orderers will get the pphone tomorrow ..I did mine at target and they said they will have it tomorrow ..and I'm the only preorder..I'm thinking about my lonely evo all by itself..I wonder where it is right now ..wish I could go save it from her misery

We are in the same boat my friend..I initially went to Best Buy for my pre order because of the deal they had with the gift cards. After waiting for 30 minutes i remembered i went though this last year with my Evo3D.Im on a really cheap contract(Sero+ Discounts from the OG Evo 4G) I have 2 lines unlimited everything No $10 data premium charge for $95/month..No way Best Buy could keep me on this plan.Last year I had to go to a Sprint Corporate store to Pre Order.
I can only upgrade through a Sprint corporate location because my plan doesn't show up in 3rd party computers...And here we are to this very moment, lost and hoping for some info.I've ruled out this weekend(god its going to be long) and set my eyes to next week...Im not looking for a freebe here or a damn cheeseburger..Just give me a god damn date and be done with it.I think there isn't a date because its going to be a long while(2+ weeks) buts thats just the pessimist in me./Frustration

I've been saying it for a while. But there are more issues out there. The fact that some of these phones cleared customs a week ago and only getting to customer now is crazy. I think the phones are barely trickling in. In fact I know they are.
There is a reason why only enough phones (for half a dozen preorders) are being shipped to every best buy. No extras are being shipped anywhere.
Sprint has dragged their feet with a new launch date because they just don't have the supply. I think they fulfilled the preorders first, then shipped to Best Buy, then shipped to Wirefly, then shipped to Amazon. Now they are probably trying to build some stock for a national launch. But its trickling.

I think they fulfilled the preorders first, then shipped to Best Buy, then shipped to Wirefly, then shipped to Amazon. Now they are probably trying to build some stock for a national launch. But its trickling.

Thats fine..but trickle that Sh*t to the customers who gave them their $$ in THEIR stores as well..Im sure there weren't many of us...We pre ordered just like the rest of these guys. Why are we the ones to wait..If Best Buy can hand it out in store to their customers we should be treated the same way.
Hello Everyone,
I am buying outright once my local sprint store gets one. My job pays for my simply everything plan but, if I want ownership of the phone, I must buy outright. To have done an upgrade or bought outright through the corporate account, would have been a nightmare with our office. Plus, the phone would have shipped to corporate( in a different state) then would have shipped to me.
Sure hope my local stores can get some soon. Yes I must wait but, it is worth getting free simply everything plan and mobile internet for my laptop that I can use as personal too.

I agree. Seems like Best Buy got preferential treatment. Think about it, they had to get the phones shipped to their distribution centers then shipped to the individual stores and they are handing out the phones the same day online sprint orderers are getting their phones.
None of the logistics of this whole ordeal make any sense. But one would think that Sprint Stores would have higher importance over third party retailers.
I'm beginning to get a little aggravated myself.
I did go to the trouble of preordering but someone at Sprint keyed in the order number wrong for someone else who was canceling and my order got cancelled by mistake. So, I call Sprint and spend about an hour and a half moving up the chain of command only to find out that I'm SOL. The phone is no longer available for preorder nor is it available for regular orders.
I'm thinking "no big deal" since I'll be able to walk into a Sprint store the day after preorders arrive and pick one up but now it's looking like that's not gonna happen. To add insult to injury they've still got my $216 and they're telling me that it will be another 10-15 days before they'll be able to credit it back to my account.
Sheesh!! Come on guys........

While box sales are important for corp owned stores, they make up a very small % of overall box sales within the company. They are mainly for customer service.

Actually now it's no go for we SERO-P customer to upgrade at BB. I pre-ordered the phone from BB online on the first day, and today they shoot a call telling me that the order could not be processed since I'm on SERO-P. I then called Sprint employee account service and got confirmed that we SERO user can no longer get new phones while keep the plan from 3rd party retailer. Now I'm stuck at nowhere to get the phone except waiting for the official launch date to be announced. Hope this would make you feel better
It's $299 - $100 Walmart E-Giftcard = $199! Great for those for a new account.

I've already read people on the Slickdeals forum for those wanting to upgrade, they just called customer service to order the phone.
Thank you! Saw this on SD and was looking for the link to it. Do you know how I would apply my company discount if I was to buy via Walmart.com? Also, any chance Walmart would waive activation fee?

You can always call Verizon customer service to apply your company discount. If your company discount includes waiving of the activation fee, they normally remove that as well. It can all be done after the fact. That's how I've handle my previous new accounts before with different carriers so I would think they would do the same. I don't think you can get Walmart to waive it but you can always try by calling their customer service number.
Just pre-ordered...thanks! :good:
Thanks. I just canceled my Verizon order and did this. BTW you can't keep your unlimited data just by checking the keep existing data option, it messes up the order and then you have to call them and chose one of the other data options. I thought it'd be worth a try though.
It says it applies to upgrades as well, but it also says "ships when available". I have a $50 credit at Verizon so I might just get it there so I know I don't have to wait several weeks.
Also, people should note that it is an eGift card, so you won't be able to use it in stores on groceries etc.
Is this just a today thing, available through cyber monday or likely throughout the holiday season?
It's a limited time thing, but you don't get the card until you are out if the 14 day exchange period. The guy I ordered from said they already have the Verizon Note 2s in their warehouse, and are waiting for launch to send them.

Again, is limited time today? For a variety of reasons, I would rather buy on monday (I need to decide whether to upgrade or buy outright to keep unlimited data), but would do it now if the offer expires today.

I THINK a local store also had $100 gift cards with a bunch of in stock phones (including GS3) until December 1st. That doesn't mean the online site will keep this deal until then though...
You could call or email them. I'm sure they'll tell you if it's ending soon so you feel rushed to buy from them.
The $100 promotion runs until December 1st.
http://wireless.walmart.com/additionalDetailsDisplay.aspx?AdditionalDetailsID=8214
I have a $100 walmart GC so this is a perfect combo for me.
Does this one come with a sim card? I don't have my own yet and I know Verizon gives you one for free when you preorder from them.
I called my local wal-mart and they had no idea of the promotion. Can someone else call their local wal-mart and see if they know anything about this as well?
Plus it isn't really like we are getting the N2 for 199.99. It should say 299.99 + $100 eGift card.
EDIT: There is a commercial for this on the TV. I called back my local wal-mart and they said they have the same offer and that the associate I talked to earlier must've been in electronics and not in their mobile dept.
This may be an issue for some...
I was all set to jump on this deal and then read some of the terms and conditions. For those of you who are looking to upgrade another line and then move the phone over to your line in order to keep your unlimited data, you could potentially trigger a fee of up to $400 by doing so. Please see the bolded text.
Instant Savings Discounts
By accepting this Instant Savings Discount, you agree to repay $200 of this discount ($400 for smartphones, tablets, and netbooks) and authorize us to charge your credit card in repayment of this amount if, you signed up for a 2 year agreement and during the 181 days after your new equipment is activated, Verizon Wireless notifies us that the services you purchased have been suspended, disconnected, or deactivated, or if you return your purchase outside of the return and exchange provisions of our Satisfaction Guarantee.
Other than you simply deactivating a line we've activated, Verizon Wireless could notify us that you deactivated if:
You fail to pay Verizon Wireless in accordance with their terms and conditions
You transfer equipment we activate on one line to another Verizon Wireless line, even within the same account
You activate this equipment on a new line of service on Verizon Wireless and use it to replace an existing Verizon Wireless line by deactivating the existing line.
I'm guessing this won't be a problem if you transfer an eligible upgrade over to another line, since by doing such a transfer, it now ties the line that is taking the upgrade to the new data terms (e.g. removes grandfathered unlimited data). However, this is different than trying to circumvent the system and keep your unlimited data.
My fear is that this trigger doesn't happen within the 14 return period and then you are stuck with a phone on a different line than what you originally wanted.
My fear is what happens when I sell the Note2 for a different phone in 6 months. Am I going to get a $400 charge?

As long as you have kept the phone for a minimum of 181 days (approx. 6 months) you should be fine. As that is the trigger for the Instant Savings.
I decided to bite bullet by cancelling my Verizon pre-order and going for this deal, but once I ordered it they told me it was out of stock. Now I have to wait for some unknown time to even find out when my phone will be shipped. Unbelievable. I know I'm getting a $100 gift card, but it's not like Wal-Mart is the sorta place I would want to shop (with the way they treat their employees and whatnot). Eh, it's just a phone, I'll get over this. I'm just a bit irked right now.
Yes, I followed up on this since someone else in my family is interested in the N2. I am forced to buy one at VZW because I need to deactivate it and swap-lines. However, my sister does not... so I called in Wal-Mart and ordered through them since she does not really care when she gets it. The deal is this, the eGift card works both in real life and online per the rep. If you want to use these gift cards somewhere else, buy a visa gift card. They charge a fee, but pretty much you can move it elsewhere. The other issue is VZW allows you to get $50 off without activation fees (with some haggling, I've had no luck with this, but other members have) so $30 saved too. So essentially if you are up for the $50 off at vzw, you can save a whopping $20 by going to Wal-Mart. According to the rep i've talked to, they have no idea when they will ship out the phone. The phone, according to them, is in very high demand. They are awaiting stock still and have no clue when it will be shipped out from their warehouse.
On another note, I was looking at their insurance plans for phones. No deduct, covers stolen, water damage, etc... for $60 bucks for two years. Seems way better than VZW, which has a $150 deduct, and BB, which doesn't cover stolen devices.
Anyone deal with their insurance at Wal-Mart? Seems sweet, since they are such a big company they rarely fight with customers in terms of returns... so I assume this should be the least amount of hassle in covering the device?
EDIT:
here is the funny part too. you don't get the gift card right away. she said as late as feb 2013 you will get a code for it.

Update: as of earlier today Best Buy was out of Silver and you could only order the Black one if you had a Best Buy location within 250 miles of a zip code you entered so that you could physically pick the phone up. i.e. They weren't offering shipping them any longer.
Speculation: Best Buy is dumping their remaining inventory of all regular Pixels (they only carry the 32GB models) and they they already sold all the ones in their warehouses.
Thanks to @xdabbeb for making me aware of this.
I bought two.
You may have to retry website buttons multiple times to get the deal to work if their website is still being slammed. Also even when it says sold out on Slickdeals, you can still order it. This morning when I ordered mine, the get by date was Dec 6th for silver and 7th for black.
In my case I also had to order one at a time and the second one I had to use incognito mode in Chrome even though I upgraded a different line on the same Verizon account and both times I logged into the same Best Buy account.
I attribute all site weirdness to the Black Friday internet traffic.
$9.99 /mo. for 24 months
without having to pay the full monthly price and waiting for credit. Less than $240 total.

Kevin - could you contact me via PM or email? I had a couple of questions I wanted to ask you concerning this deal. We are both in Columbus and I would value your insight.
Deleted.
In addition to this already great deal - for Cyber Monday (Sunday?) BB is now offering a $100 BB Gift Card on top of the $240 Price. Making your total cost $140 Make me wish I had waited.

I just found that out too, wow! Me too, but oh well, one of mine has already shipped. I could cancel the other since it hasn't shipped and do the deal but there's a chance Verizon wouldn't consider me able to upgrade that line, at least for a day or so.
Can you really buy the Google Pixel, cancel with Verizon and use it with T-Mobile without having to deal with Verizon legal (early termination fees, etc) ?
Read a few comments in the thread. There are people that say "No problem", others say "Check the fine print, they will make you pay the full price".
This deal makes sense for Verizon if people open a new account/line and stay for 2 years. But in this case it is how the ol' phone subsidization model look in 2016.
I doubt that Verizon has left room to buy the phone, cancel the line and bring it to another network without charging fees and screwing your credit.
Edit:
Here you go: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp/ver...at748301462624.c?id=pcmcat748301462624&rdct=n
Activation/Upgrade Fees
Activation Fee: $40/line.
Upgrade Fee: $40/device.
Early Termination Fees
The early termination fee is up to $175, or up to $350 if your contract term results from your purchase of an advanced device (e.g., a smartphone).
There's no contract if you pay the phone off, it's not a two year contract, it's merely a contract to pay $9.99 a month for 24 months and once you pay it off, that's fulfilled. If you're creating a new line to get the phone, then whatever costs Verizon imposes to create the line, if any, in addition the activation fee which would happen for a new or existing line (Verizon seems to sometimes call the activation fee an upgrade fee lately) would be the only thing additional besides the tax for your overall cost.
I believe it was @45Wheelgun in the other thread who said he paid the phones off as soon as they shipped.
It *shouldn't* be any problem, but I don't believe anything until I see it for myself, and I might try it and see what happens to get a third one this time with the $100 gift card deal, but not sure yet.
FYI, my "upgrade fee" was $20 per phone, and the same "upgrade fee" was referred to as "activation fee" elsewhere, so I believe they're one in the same, although Verizon is less than transparent about this and has caused me confusion before. I'm on the most recently available Verizon Plan.
@45Wheelgun references this walkthrough for how to do it:
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=92290907&postcount=1562
His original post is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69793678&postcount=45
And "Proof", which is pretty convincing but in the end is merely "strong evidence": https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=92266531&postcount=1419
I just tried to add a line, all looked good, of course it said there would be a $20 a month smartphone access charge on the new line but once I paid the phone off I'd be able to cancel the line. However, the main Pixel page on Best Buy's site says 1) Silver isn't available at all and 2) Black "Shipping:Not Available". I went through the process as far as I could take it anyway and indeed it won't let me do the final checkout without selecting a store, but it tells me there are no stores within 250 miles to pick one up at, so it seems we're at an impasse, and basically maybe Best Buy is trying to dump what little remains of local Pixel stock, wherever they are.
Same issue here. Currently in CA visiting family but also checked my zip code in Portland, OR. No stores within 250 miles.
Also stopped by the local Best Buy and they had no Pixels in stock.

My friend who was the one who made me aware of both the original and the new deal said that this morning it said he could still pick one up locally but that now they're just not available. I checked a few zip codes I was familiar with as well just out of curiosity.
so If I find it in store, sign up for a new account, pay first month, pay off device, can I then use it with my T-Mobile line?
There are no early termination fees if you pick the 24 month Device Payment Plan (DPP). You will have three choices to purchase the phone:
DPP: 9.99/month 24 months
Contract: $199.99 + 24Month Verizon Service Contract
Outright purchase: $650
Any text you see about contracts or ETFs are in reference to the Contract option and have nothing to do with the DPP option. When you get to the purchase agreement you will see it states you are paying the "full price" of $239.76 for the phone and that is the installment agreement you are "signing". In that contract it clearly states there are no penalties for paying it off early. Only penalties it speaks of are if you DON"T pay your installments on time.
DPP is nothing but a 24 Month 0 Interest load. Think 24 months same as cash with the purchase price being $239.76 +TAX
I purchased 2 on Thursday as 2 separate transactions, one as an upgrade and the other as "add a line". Billed for Sales tax on $239.76 (~$17) As soon as they shipped on Friday I paid them off. That immediately restored my "upgrade" account and I will not need to "add a line" as the phones have been paid in full. I received an Email from Verizon notifying me that my DPP contracts were "Paid in Full" and Closed.
My phones will be delivered tomorrow. There has been no change in my plan, all discounts and extras accrued over the years as still in place. I'm unclear at this point if I will need to activate them. If so there will be a $20 activation fee. I'll know sometime tomorrow.
I went back today when I saw the additional $100 and was able to walk through the entire process as an "upgrade" so as far as my account is concerned "it never happened". I even had Verizon offer me $330+ to use it as a trade in!
I do not think you will have any problems if you just add a line but if you create a new account they may want you to either return the phone, paying the full price for it or $350 EFT.
Whatever... it would not be worth it considering the additional fees.
People were mentioning this after looking at the fine print that you agree on and talking with sale managers.
There is also a hard pull of your credit for a new customer, so I do not want to do that and end up reading in the fine print that I must stay with Verizon for 2yr in order to get the Pixel for $130.
Not sure what to do. Did somebody look at all the things that they ask you to sign or can post screenshots?

Did you look at the link I gave a few posts up (first page I think) with the link to the "proof/evidence" that there will be no ETF if you pay off the phone. I believe it, for what it's worth, but can't take advantage of it any more than I already did since there are no stores within 250 miles of me to pick it up, which is the only option now. I'll add that to the OP when I can.
Yeah... I saw a bunch of posts of that guy, DEEE. He has been active on that thread for 3 days no stop. There are some funny flames He wants to be the "go-to person". He also does everything to shut up who contradicts him. Either he needs some attentions or somebody must pay him to be there and do the promotion.
A few people keep saying "check the contract. It is just $240." but a few others found something off. Check the posts related to this one:
https://slickdeals.net/f/9417827-be...es-100-bb-e-gift-card?p=92444587#post92444587
What I got from that:
- At checkout you sign both DPP and the https://www.verizonwireless.com/legal/notices/customer-agreement/
- The DPP (that is titled "RETAIL INSTALLMENT CONTRACT") says you are subject to the Verizon agreement too. So you need to interpret them together.
- The conclusion seems to be:
1) If you leave Verizon before 14 days then you have to return the phone (or pay full amount for it)
2) If you leave after 14 days you have to pay other $350.
Verizon lawyers are not dumb.
Either somebody that studied law can interpret those contracts and tell me that everything is fine or I will stay out of this deal. It is not $240 vs $250, it is $240 vs $700.
