I'm caught between the two the nexus sounds like it has great specs, but supposedly it might only come to Att or Verizon. I'm going on vacation Friday until the last few days of September and my dad is.letting me swtich to sprint and I won't need a phone so it might be leaked but I know if the.nexus.comes out.for sprint it will have nfc(which Google is implementing in a lot pile games, and etc),ice cream sandwich, and etc, but the evo has sense 3.0 which is nice what are your opinions?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
No info in the nexus so no good answer can come from this.
Did you get an official statement on the specs? Or just rumor?
Im sure the evo3d will see an ICS asop port, and yea which knows when it will.come out and on.what carrier.
"Nexus Prime" will be a flagship device for Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich . Furthermore, the screen will use Samsung's "Super AMOLED HD" glass and come with a 1.5-GHz, dual-core OMAP4460 chip from Texas Instruments."
So another Sammy?
I say get the 3D.
look guys rumored specs:
Monster sized 720p screen/Super Amoled HD
advanced 5-megapixel sensor delivering class-leading image quality in addition to superior low-light performance
NFC(i'm 16 i dont use credit cards, but google is working on NFC stuff so its good to have)
Ice cream sandwich
Dual-core OMAP(dual-core already on EVO) who knows maybe it could be quad-core
4G LTE
"Our source indicated that Google could be working with multiple carriers and multiple OEMs on their own “exclusive” Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) halo devices, and that they may all launch around the same time. Imagine flagship releases from Motorola, HTC, and LG with Ice Cream Sandwich available on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint all at practically the same time… in addition to a Google Nexus handset from Samsung."

http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Nexus-P...ream-Sandwich-Release-Devices,news-11660.html
but it wont have 3D,so no Nexus Prime for me
What did HTC do to piss Google off?

I don't think it was that. Samsung produces phones with better hardware. Look at the Epic compared to the Evo and now the GSII compared to the Evo 3D/Sensation. Don't get me wrong. I owned and walked around with both the Evo & Epic daily for months and the Evo won my heart but hardware wise the Samsung phones are better in almost every aspect. They just suck when it comes to supporting their products with timely updates. And the fact that Sense is 10x better than TouchWiz imo but with a "Google" phone updates will come almost immediately. Better hardware + quick updates = Google Flagship. Not to mention regardless of their rep around here, Samsung sells a lot phones! They sold over 10 million GS phones last year.

thats true, the SG2 is rated the best smartphone by many websites, and etc. the nexus prime in my opinion should be all manafacturers coming together for one great phone;
Samsung- SUPER AMOLED HD/720p display, dual-core 1,4ghz exynos processor(its getting bumped up from 1.2 to 1.4 each core i'd prefer quad-core), 32gb internal, 4g(HSPA+,LTE,and Wimax)
HTC-design, materials, led notification
Sony-Exmor camera with all features, and more
Motorola-personally i would want the fingerprint scanner
Hardware/software i would like;
*quad-core/Dual core 1.2 or 1.5 Chip
*1GB RAM
*Battery that can last a full day
*8MP camera
*Notification Light/LED
*LOUD speaker phone
*4.5" Screen SUPER AMOLED HD
*Front Camera, 1.3MP
*AT&T LTE/VERIZON LTE/SPRINT WIMAX/T-MOBILE HSPA+
*Camera Button with instant capture
*Ice Cream Sandwich
*NFC
*32 GB user accessible memory internal with micro sd expansion
*Gyro, ambient light sensor, accelerometer
etc
got from: http://forum.androidcentral.com/rumored-devices/97987-nexus-prime-6.html
If you keep waiting for the next best thing you'll be waiting forever. Are you satisfied with your current phone? Wait some. Is it really getting to you? Just buy, it isn't like a car or house where you are stuck with it for 5-30 years.

I originally bought the evo 3D on an upgrade to test it out. But after I fell in love with it I went on ebay and got a new SEALED in the box evo 3d with new otterbox defender for $378 (pays not to use buy it now). I then returned the e3d I bought as an upgrade. I dont need the otterbox so I sold it on CL for $45. bringing me to $333 outright no new contract. Im happy as can be. And if the new superphone (want quad core next) comes up within 2 years I still have my upgrade.
I was thinking the same thing. Since Icescreem Sandwich will be a big jump in version (4.0 vs 2.x), it will be like a new generation (future-proof) and it might come with buttonless phones. So even if you can port Icescreem Sandwich to current phones generation, the soft buttons will be obsolete and a waste of space IMO.
Maybe the next flagship phone from HTC with Android Icescreem Sandwich on board will be a big hit? Will it come in December?

This is kind of what I did as well. I traded my Nexus S 4G and cash for the Evo 3D and kept my upgrade and I kept particularly for the Nexus Prime if it comes to Sprint. I honestly loved the NS4G(even though it's built by Samsung it does feel sturdy). Even though it had about the same specs as the Evo 4G for some reason that phone was just plain faster. I think it was because it had a better GPU, but idk, the NS4G is a great phone. The OG EVO is too don't get me wrong, but I just preferred stock Android and it just worked better + fastboot oem unlock and boom the bootloader was unlocked.
Okay so back on topic, yeah if I were you I would buy the EVO 3D off contract if you want it because it is blazing fast and once they get the bootloader unlocked and we can get some AOSP goodness on it, it will be amazing. That way you can keep and upgrade and do that when another phone you like comes out. Or if you do the the EVO 3D on contract, you can always sell it on Ebay or CL and then buy the next best thing using that money and it will be about the upgrade price. I have had the Evo 4G, NS4G and now the Evo 3D all about 6 months apart from each other with only renewing my contract for the first EVO.
If you are always waiting for the next best thing you will be like my friend who still runs a cheezy little dumb phone that is equivalent to a free pay as you go phone. He is like that. Always waiting for the next great phone on the rumor mill. He is currently waiting for the iPhone 5. I LOL at him often...
There will always be the something better around the corner when it comes to tech, it sucks, but that's just the way it is.

Vent about what? Four months after the amaze comes out, there will be another flagship phone... I guarantee it.
If you ever buy technology so that you can own the best and fastest, whether it's a phone or computer or something else, then dont bother buying. You will always be disappointed. Instead, maybe just use your sensation and be happy with all that it is and all that it can do.
No, it's a phone, you'll get over it just like everyone else.

Sensation is still very young. While we can't have HW limitations changed, there can and will be things done to work around it (ok, not camera, but how many people actually use it). RAM is enough, especially with all the optimisations lately. Few more quirks to work out and Sensation will be almost perfect. Who's to say that Amaze won't have more problems than Sensation?
So no, i'm not pissed off at all. Oh, and Amaze is UGLY.
I'm pretty sure its gonna run like butter with a LIL more RAM nd sense 3.5..cuz with the specs the sensation has..lag shouldnt exist

And its not really the biggest jump either, i mean
1.5GHz dual-core CPU(That's what we have just under clocked to 1.2),
1GB of RAM(dont realy need that much and were just off buy around 256 mb),
4.3-inch qHD display(got it),
8MP rear camera(got it) ,
2MP front(ok this is and upgrade but who uses the front camera extensivly)
dual-LED flash(got it).
So all they did was not under-clock the cpu, raise ram a tiny bit, make the front camera 2mp and made the phone ugly.
Doesn't matter that much anyway. This phone will be overshadowed sooner or later by quad-core soc's like the tegra 3.
Every phone is outdated specwise around max. 4-5 months after their release.
im happy with my sensation. and as mentioned above there is really that big of improvements on the amaze. and also the sensation as is with all phones will be outdated a few months after its release.
if you are really upset with the the release of a newer phone so close to the release of the sensation, than go out and buy an iphone. atleast there hardware dont improve so quickly and you wont be so upset after buying it and a few months later they release a better one cause it wont happen so close after its initial release.
Sure I'm a little miffed about the specs, but honestly our phones will blow the amaze out of the water until they get cm7 on it. After buying the sensation I decided I'm not buying a new phone until it can be completely hacked s-off/rooted ect.. And an official CM build is a available for it. Otherwise the phone just feels like crap despite the specs due to sense/bloatware.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I am only mad about this because i have had 6 sensations and each had major issues weather hardware or software and at times each have been practically useless.... If they took the time to assure this wouldn't happen I wouldn't mind so much. However, that hasn't been Tue case... So I will be ditching my sensation as soon as the amaze is available.
Also correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the amaze also have a 42 mbps radio and also built in 16gb storage amongst the already mentioned specs.
I love HTC but they really let me down with this phone........

Just announced
http://htc.t-mobile.com/amaze-camera-phone
If the release of the Amaze 4G pisses you off, don't ever buy a new Macbook Pro, or any Apple computer for that matter.
Dropping $2k+ on a new computer just to watch a new version come out a month later with more ram, faster processor, better graphics card, longer battery life, wings, beer dispenser, and a $100 bill printer built in will really make you want to punch babies.
Haha you really can't win no matter what you do. Buy "THE" Android phone today, it's old hat in four months.
It was the exact opposite when I was on the Apple ship. Buy an iPhone today then wait a year or more only to find out the next big super secret release is some marginal upgrade. See iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4. Worth another two-year contract? I think not.
I'm not one to upgrade at every new release, but they say craigslist and ebay are good ways to get rid of old phones.

Yup. If you're buying a piece of technology so that you can feel good about having the "best" you're pretty thick.
You purchase something you feel delivers the best quality you can afford at the moment you are ready to purchase, and then enjoy it for what it is.
Sensation was that for me. Best choice for me at my moment of purchase, and I'm still quite happy about my choice.

I never thought I would buy another samsung product but the galaxy note got me thinking about selling my evo 3d as soon as a Sprint Release date is shown if one ever will be.
Im going to miss sense but fellow Evo3d users what do you think of the Galaxy note. I know Samsung is the dark side but you cant argue with the specs.
And no im not a troll I really want your opinions and I am a hater of Samsung, but im rethinking that stance.
I'll admit for being a somewhat anti samsung user, it does look interesting.
Looks good, but still interested to see if Samsung has made updates a priority before I would ever think about taking the dive.
What's the point...its not coming to sprint.

im thinking its made to get ICS, ICS on it will be the only way i put down my evo3d because i really dont see anything on the horizon to make me put my evo3d down, im not into the nexus prime and the sgs2 is nothing but a nexus prime lite and i hate apple more than samsung, so no ip4s. I really would like a bigger screen evo 3d with better contrast, the Galaxy Note would fit my needs only and only if Sprint gets it though. I know its GSM only for now but take the cdma carrier network chip from the epic touch 4g should easily swap in.
Now samsung I don't ask you for anything, I really cant stand you but if you and Sprint can manage to make a Galaxy Note 4g for sprint or call it a Epic Note 4g, Ill pretend to start to like you samsung

If all phones were of this size, people will soon get bored.
what the balls was that video about seriously.... that told me nothing about the phone lol.
Screen is too big IMO. The bigger battery isn't all that to sing about because with a screen that size it will still get the same battery life as any other phone.
The cool thing is the thing will probably see ICS... and so will the gs2.
But in the end, its still a samsung to me. And still a huge con to all the pros.
WOW... 5.3" screen... Suite me with a big palm... Hehe
There are always better phones coming out from time to time (unlike iPhones), no need to put out latest models and say prefer this over that. I am very satisfied with EVO 3D now and unless there is another 3D phone capable of doing ZSL 12MP 2D/8MP 3D pics, 1080p 3D vids @ 30 fps, 4G, NFC, Dolby, Quad-core, IPX7... I am not gonna jump ship yet.

NOW dont get me wrong I love my EVO3d but I remember the feeling I got when I first got my TP2, with the evo3d that feeling was not there but as much as I love my evo3d it was not anything evolutionary about it, its a great phone and it does everything i need it too but all I was saying is the Galaxy Note although it is samsung, have tons more upside than the EVO3d (i miss stylus input badly, and a good camera and that screen 5.3 "BRILLIANT") and all the other devices out here are the same a pixel here a meg there most phone released today are 4"-4.65" 1 to 1.2 ghz 5 to 8mp device all the same. When a 5.3 inch hd screen STYLUS INPUT super big battery 8mp rear 2mp front comes along its definitely different then the norm so yea Ill jump ship then and only then.

Well, your most likely gonna get a biased answer in this forum, BUT, I, being a huge HTC fan, but also an honest, unbiased person, would go with (as i already have) the GS II, I used to love HTC sense, and i used to hate touchwiz, but then i tried twiz 4.0, and its much lighter, and in my opinion, nicer then sense. Not to mention the combination of the exynos processor and the mali 400 gpu is better then ANYTHING HTC has to offer at this time. All they have is qualcomm SoC, and Adreno gpu's, which dont get me wrong are great, but they just cant compete with the current hardware in samsungs S II devices, as a matter of fact, IMHO, i dont think ANYTHING can compete. I turned down a nexus and decided to wait for ICS for my gs II, and I will not be upgrading until the gs III or a quad core sammy come around. Go with the GS II, from one previous HTC lover, to a current HTC lover, you will not be disappointed, Not to mention the Dev support for this device is greater then any other device Ive EVER seen. You'll be more than happy with a GS II. Please, update me on what you decide to do.
Edit: My bro has the Evo 3D. IIMHO the GS II is better in EVERY department. IF I was going to go with HTC cause samsungs went extinct, it would be either a sensation (dev support) or an Amaze/Ruby (best hardware equipped HTC ATM.)
First thing, why on earth do you feel the need to use so many question marks. It is a question, we get that or did you face palm the keys while typing?
My advise to you would be to go in the shop and test both out, see which feels the best in your hand. They both have good features on them so the choice has to be made by only you.
For myself, I have a SGS2 and couldn't think of myself with any other phone atm. On a side not I have never been a massive fan of things with 3d. I think it is unneeded for a mobile phone.
I played with a 3D in store and it's pretty cool, although I'm not sure how long it'll last past the first couple of days.
I owned the Evo3D when it came out in the US. The real problem for me with the device was the carrier (Sprint). Their service is beyond crap so I ended up returning the device more because I couldn't get reception. The device itself is very nice. IMO the Evo3D is probably the best HTC device out there with its 1gb of Ram and 1.2ghz dual core S3. I thought the 3D aspects were pretty interesting. I was expecting it to be more of a gimmick but it's the real deal.
Overall though, my opinion of Android devices over the last 6 months has not changed (and that includes the Gnex). There's the SGS2 and then there are a bunch of other phones. The GS2 sits perched atop the Android totem pole and no other device I've used has knocked it off.

+1 your opinion on the GS2.... But how could you say the evo 3d is the nicest HTC right now? The amaze has a 1.5hghz dual-core S3, 1 gig of ram, and HSPA+ rated @42mbps, and the rezound/vigor is the same hardware specs as the amaze but with a HD 720 display. The Evo 3d WAS the nicest HTC maybe back in july, but then the sensation was there as well, so i cant even say that with backbone. There is a new gen of HTC devices out now, the Evo 3D is a tier 2 device for them now.

Absolutely agree. and as I said before, Im an ANDROID fan, not a specific maufacturer, look at my list, I've had em all, from LG to Moto, and HTC to Sammy, if its android, ill give it a shot. (not including huawei or pantech) lmao
So now it turns out that the screen is broken on my Evo3D (bottom part of the touchscreen is irresponsible to touches) this is after the whole motherboard got replaced after I had the phone for a month, so my carrier will probably let me have a new phone, though I might have to cough up 50-100$ myself...
Not sure what I should get though, so I'd appreciate some input!
I could get an Evo3d for free, but my faith is HTC just isn't what it used to be. It's not just the poor quality of the Evo3D I'm talking about (the touchscreen issue seems to be fairly common) it's also the fact that HTC is making us Evo3D owners wait until at least summertime to get ICS update, which is just unacceptable for what was sold as a top of the line phone...
Moto RAZR
They'd give me the Droid RAZR for 50 bucks, and I'm pretty tempted, since it looks like a nice phone. A great SAMOLED+ QHD screen (Yes I know about the pentile), expandable up to 48gb, a pretty good camera, and super thin Kevlar surface all line up for a pretty sweet package. The only thing kinda holding me back, is that the SGX540 GPU in it is kinda old, battery life is supposed to be just average, and the camera, while good, isn't as good as in the Samsung GSII or iPhone 4S.
Galaxy Nexus
I miiight be able to get a Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy Note if I cough up 100-200$ but not sure if I should go for it. Yes, it has an awesome screen and ICS, but whatever Android phone I get will have ICS in the next 3 months or so. The downside is a kinda old CPU/GPU combo (OMAP4430 and SGX540), a 5 mp camera, average battery life and only 16gb storage.
iPhone
Depending on what I'm willing to spend, they'll let me have an iphone4 for free, or 4S if I put down some cash. Between 50 and 200$ all depending on the 16/32/64 gb model. Now I know the iPhone option is kinda controversial, and if you had asked me a year ago, I'd never get an iPhone. But lately, I've gotten kinda disillusioned with Android. Even on a high end model like the Evo3D or SGSII isn't as smooth as iOS, and lag, even if very slight, is almost always present if you go to a list, for example. Theres also the issue of hardware quality and service. The last six months I've spent a couple dozen hours either trying to get an Android phone fixed, fixing issues with it, or taking it to repairs hops and waiting days or weeks for it to be repaired. With Apple you don't have to deal with all of that. They DO give really, really great service. If you take a broken phone to the Apple store, they often just outright replace it, and that counts for something IMHO.
I've had an ipad2 for the past 5 months, and I've really gotten to appreciate how fast and smooth the experience is, and how everything just works. The other advantages would be iMessage/FaceTime, which is really cool, having my phone work great together with my iPad, and the whole Apple ecosystem. Cameras are also top of the line, from what I've seen, and battery life is really good.
I know of the downsides with getting an iPhone, the biggest one would be the 3.5 inch screen. No matter how awesome, bright and sharp it is, it will take some getting used to, to go from a 4.3 inch screen to a 3.5 inch screen.
Other phones, like a Samsung or HTC are also available for me to get, this is just my top3. I'd really appreciate your input, and let me know what phone you'd get next in my situation... Thanks!
Based on your phone listing's looks like you have the GSM version. I would go with either the GN or the Note if it is not to big for you.
The GSM GN has pretty good battery life from what I have seen. The CDMA is not as good which is that I own. Needs the extended battery on CDMA to get decent life. There are a lot of people with the GSM version who get an average of 5 hours on-screen time. To me that is some pretty good battery life.
The downside like you said is only 16gigs of storage on the GSM GN without an SD slot. I just do not get that at all! Why only 16 on a device that cannot be expanded! Luckily the CDMA version came with 32gigs.
I owned the CDMA EVO 3D back in the day, then went to the Epic 4G touch which blows the 3D away. The GN is more in a league with the SGS2 then the EVO 3D. The GN is super smooth.
I personally stay away from Moto's, especially if you like to flash things...
I have been really fortunate not to have any trouble with my evo 3d. I also had the og evo before the 3d.
My next phone will not be htc though. Im very disappointed about ics being pushed back.
Anyway, from your list of phones to choose from i would not hesitate on switching. To the galaxy nexus. Ive had a chance to play around with it a few times and really love it. Updates will always be faster to and of course it comes with the new chip for mobile purchasing. Really comes down to your personal preference and needs really. Your listed phones are all great products. I will never purchase an apple product, but i know a lot of people that love them. Good luck to you.

There's no way of telling about the updates. Google's last flagship device has been completely ignored and won't get ICS. Doesn't really matter to me as I have faith in the xda community to get any updates on to it.

Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy S2 i9100. Those two phones are by far the best supported phones development wise on this site. It's only going to get bigger with the GS2 likely decreasing if the GS3 makes a big enough impact.
No HTC phone besides the Sensation compares development wise right now. A few legacy devices here and there, but for the specs, the two phones I mentioned above cannot be beat right now.
I'm in the same boat, well I'm selling mine, I'm so disappointed in HTC, too many freezing up and restarting by itself on stock rom, moving on

Thanks! The one thing I REALLY liked about the Evo was the QHD screen. So I really don't want to go back to an 800*480 screen. The Moto Razr and Galaxy Nexus have pretty much the same CPU/GPU right? OMAP 4430/60

They more or less are the same CPU. I would head over to the Galaxy Nexus forums and learn more about their processor and how it actually is a pretty remarkable in performance. Google picked out nice specs for their flagship.

So now it turns out that the screen is broken on my Evo3D (bottom part of the touchscreen is irresponsible to touches) this is after the whole motherboard got replaced after I had the phone for a month, so my carrier will probably let me have a new phone, though I might have to cough up 50-100$ myself...

It's no slouch at all. It's just older which puts you under the illusion that it is weak. Compared to other dual core devices, there aren't huge differences.

Sold mine on Ebay. Bought a Epic4G touch. Not looking back. The only thing I appreciated about the Evo4G was the development community. Other than that, I'm getting twice the battery on a larger screen.
That would be my vote. And I paid full price for the Epic. Worth it.

Lol I saw you post in a thread the other day that your next phone will either be an iPhone or a windows phone haha
Evo3D.
evo 3d seems very cheap now for a (once high end) mid range phone.
I've had nothing but good luck with my Evo 3d and love it, only thing i dont like is the flimsy backing plate. From reading your post i cant help but ask were you rooted? There are tons of great roms and app mods available in the forums here, all solve numerous issues and improve upon stock in any number of ways.
As far as choosing a phone goes, if you can get a new 3d free I'd stick it out and wait to see what's available withing the coming months, MWC just finished up and there were tons of greats devices announced.
Otherwise GSII gets my vote.
So, after MUCH agonizing (like I'm sure a lot of you have done/are doing), I've decided to go with the Evo 4G LTE over the Galaxy Nexus. Physically, I think the simplicity of the GN design is way sexy (particularly like the slight curve of the phone, helps fit to your face while talking), but the unibody metal of the Evo and the kickstand are way awesome (although I'm not particularly fond of the shiny plastic top third of the back).
In terms of the vanilla ICS vs. Sense 4, what finally helped me make the decision was running CM9 for a little while, then running Virus' Sense 4.0 ROM. I certainly do love AOSP ICS, its quite speedy and responsive, and most of the features & widgets from Sense have some counterpart in the market available. However, coming from the OG Evo, and now the 3D, I've always found myself going back to Sense in the end, no matter how many ROMs I've tried. Plus, this version really is quite light over ICS, and much of the AOSP feel comes through beautifully.
The main downside I'm concerned about is the potential delay with OS updates (even though JB, as I understand it, will be 4.1 and primarily introduce the first iteration of Google Assistant). I was concerned about the locked HTC bootloader vs. the developer friendly GN, but considering the phone hasn't even been officially released to the wild and there's already root access and custom ROMs (although no S-OFF yet), I have faith in the dev community flourishing.
Dunno if this'll give any insight whatsoever into anybody else, but I'm happy to have finally made a choice!
I think whatever phone you prefer in its stock form is the one to go with. I love the gnex and it's quick updates along with easily unlockable appease but hardwire it is behind the EVO LTE. That said I wouldn't buy the EVO LTE because I truly dislike sense. I wouldn't buy either phone myself. But that's just it, that's android, we as consumers can choose to buy the newest phone or just wait for the one that meets our needs! I'd love to HAVE the EVO LTE or gnex right now, however using my upgrade one either one isn't something I'm comfortable with.
So tldr I'm happy for any fellow android user regardless of the phone they have just as they should be with the next man.

No LTE on Sprint. I think One X is the phone to get.
Truth in that. While I have a MacBook (for music/design) and iPad (for music/general net access & reading), I dont think I could ever get down with an iPhone. Android's greatest strength is its variety and flexibility in being a unique, personalized phone for the end user. Within the capabilities of the hardware we choose, we can make our devices do almost anything. I absolutely AGONIZED over what to get, and was on the verge of holding out and getting nothing, but I want to go ahead and push forward with the Evo LTE. Also helps that I have two other lines on my account that are due for upgrades next June, so I'll have an opportunity to move to whatever new hotness is around then

I've been struggling with this as well since I found out yesterday that as of today I'm eligible to sign another two year contract. I thought I would have to wait until october but apparently not lol.
I absolutely love the design of the galaxy nexus and stock android kicks ass. I put a fairly stockish rom on my friends nexus and already its faster than my evo. I love the screen too. But its based on last years technology. The evo lte is a great phone and all but the design isn't uniform enough for me. It's like they had a bunch of different ideas and just threw them all together. While its very fast, I don't feel like its worth locking myself in for another two years for it. It's only an incremental upgrade over the 3d imo.
I want to wait for the quad core Qualcomm s4 with the adreno 320 gpu, and I wouldnt mind a 720p super amoled plus display. I would prefer a nexus device as I love stock android. Less bloat, uniform ui design, faster. And if the next one looks anything like the galaxy nexus I'll jump all over it. But who knows when those next gen of phones will come out, and if they will come to sprint in a reasonable amount of time.I hate waiting when I can upgrade now lol

I think you've made the right choice. Don't concern yourself too much about update IMO. Lots of devs here that I'm sure will have that phone and as far as HTC updating to JB, to me as long as ICS runs great then why bother with JB. By the time JB matures I'm sure there will be other devices out. But I really dont see anything wrong with ICS. So better screen, better camera, newer device, and sense (which you prefer).
For me I'm kinda waiting for GS3 then I'll decide between that and Evo LTE.

it's different not improved.
more SD space on Evo is necessary because of the ****ty upload speeds. on One X with ATT's upload speed I can use my Box (50 GB) or Dropbox (25 GB) accounts to uplad my data and have it saved and shared.
the metal will loose it's color due to chipping, just like on evo 3D. this won't be a problem on One X.
2 things i would miss is the shutter button and kickstand. kickstand can be gained by getting cases that already include them. Shutter button, oh well.....
At least i can enjoy a phone that has reception and quick data speeds.
How long will your data cap hold out doing all the uploading and downloading? Even if you're grandfathered into an unlimited plan they still throttle after so many gb's. Should stick a straight Talk sim in there and get real unlimited for half the price on the same network.

I can only say that by your logic any new phone from an existing manufacturer is considered incremental then?
Bigger size, more powerful chips, LTE enabled, higher resolution SLCD HD screen, newest Android OS sounds like a lot more than "incremental".
Or is the Galaxy S3 also just an "incremental" upgrade from the E4GT?
Wouldn't the "next Nexus" you're waiting for just be an incremental upgrade from the current one? All that'll likely change there is the chipset unless JB is released by then.....it'll be similar sized, same resolution, etc....

No. For example the Galaxy S III, I would be all over that if the american version came with the quad core exynos and LTE. But it doesn't. That processor is beast, and already surpasses the qualcomm S4. And I'd love it even more if it came in the same package as the Galaxy Nexus.
As far as the Evo LTE, yes it's faster, has a better screen, and is LTE enabled. But I won't have LTE until the end of this year in my market, and I already had the latest Android OS, ICS. I think Sense 4 is over rated tbh, and yes I have tried it out. Plus the looks don't sit quite right with me. One thing I love about the Nexus is that it's just so sleek and simple, and that makes it sexy. The front is completely blacked out to the point that you can't really tell where the screen ends and where the rest of the face begins. The Evo LTE has like 5 different designs going on. Brushed aluminum sides, matte black bottom backing, glossy black top backing, anodized red aluminum stripe for the kick stand, and cheap plastic for the power/volume buttons (which I have learned to HATE on my old Evo 4G and my 3D). It's like the designers couldn't decide what to go with and just said hey **** it we'll put all of them together!
And it's not like my Evo 3D is slow right now. It's still chewing through everything I throw at it (thank you mikey for MeanROM).
I just can't get myself to lock into another 2 year contract knowing that the next gen of technology is right around the corner (IE, Q3/Q4 of this year). Specifically talking about the quad core qualcomm S4 with the adreno 320 GPU. That will offer a HUGE increase in performance over what I have now and that, I will have no problem signing a contract for. Especially if it's in a Nexus phone that offers pure android. Also it would be nice if it supported Sprint's 800 mhz LTE that they will roll out in 2013/2014.
