Hi
As title really, I installed void forever (+addon zip) ROM using clockworkmod, it loads fine but if I shut down the phone WHILE usb is plugged in to PC, the phone reboots...
I cleared cache, dalvik etc, same result.
Why is this? It shuts down fine if the phone isn't plugged in via USB.
Thanks in advance!
Because LG sucks. The same reason why it displays the stupid battery animation when charging.
Well it seems if the phone is in a shut down state, and I plug in a USB cable then it starts up automatically, I no longer even get the 'charging animation'.
I used to get that with original 2.3 ROM. Maybe 'void forever' has a bug.

Every time i turn off my S 2 it starts showing these two images alternately:

Only way I can turn on the device is to remove the battery or while charging.
Also sometimes the phone keeps thinking usb plug is still connected because the charging and 100% icons won't leave and unable to toggle usb debugging.
Phone is rooted and currently using KE7 with default kernel. Anyone stumbled upon this problem?
Restore to original and if not cleared return phone .

i am having excatly the same issues, did you end up finding how to fix it?????
This is a little odd
Factory refurbished atrix from ATT running 2.3.6
I Cant get into recovery, it just gets stuck on the ! screen.
I also cant connect to the computer, USB is having a issue, every once in a while I can plug the phone in to the wall and it works just fine. sometimes I can plug it in and leave it and after a while it just radomly starts charging.....
Any Ideas on how to fix this????
Thanks a bunch
When you get to the "! " screen, press both volume up and down buttons.
Are you charging your phone using your computer's usb? If you are, you might be missing the required drivers.
Sent from my MB860 on CM7
No luck on the volume up and down....
Yes I have tried to charge off the computer USB and the wall.....only works when it wants to....which is almost never
SGS2 I9100 with Ressurection Remix ICS_v2.4_AOKP-B39-4.0.4
Device was working fine, battery was low (<5%) so i connected my charger; went to sleep, woke up and tried to turn display on - couldn't ... i thought that maybe phone was battery dead when i connected it so i long-press the power button to start it up but nothing was happening.
Disconnected the charger, took out the battery, waited 20s then put it back, connected charger and tried to power on => sgs2 splash screen .... .... ... showing desktop screen w/o icons and after 5-10s device shows "Shutting down" vibrates and shuts down.
Rebooted into CWM recovery, reinstalled ROM => no change
Rebooted into CWM, wipe data/factory reset => no change
Any ideeas what is going on? is the battery malfunctioning?
Try a new battery in the first instance. If it still happens once you've done that then we can look at other causes. Also, if you feel so inclined, do a clean install of stock & see if that fixes the issue to rule out something in your current setup (rom/kernel/etc) causing the problem.
thanks, been thinking the same about trying another battery but that is something i cannot do today

also i recharged battery on another phone and when i use it in mine, it gets drained quickly
guess the problem is the "power supply"
Hello guys, i own a ZTE 967s device,
lately my device was malfunctioning (shutting down and freezing), i flashed a new rom and i found out that after reseting applications cache memory the "proccess has stopped" problem stopped.
today my device shutted down and nothing can recovers it. everything is black. even the charging led. the only thing i noticed is that when i plug it to my pc, the sound of something connected comes out and after some seconds the sound that disconnected, and that loops for ever.
any idea?
Try bootloader mode when you have the phone plugged in to the computer.
Hi,
I came across a charging problem recently (happened all of a sudden, no clue why it is happening). My phone(m2 max pro) charges only I turn it off, when turned on the USB connection is not even recognized.
So, the only way to charge my phone is to switch it off!. This appears to be not so very rare problem, there are few posts out there (with different phones) complaining the same problem, but no working solution yet.
Few things:
1. Current rom is Arrow OS(m2 max pro), Android Pie.
2. Restarting the phone with the charger connected helps. The USB will still not be recognized though, but the phone charges(although, it charges slowly, the lockscreen shows - "charging slowly").
But, If I later disconnect and reconnect the charger it won't charge anymore, I have to restart with charger connected again.
3. Tried cleaning the USB port, tried clean flashing the rom(even with a different one), did not work.
5. Tried moving/adjusting the pin in the USB port slightly (recommended in one of the posts), did not work. Although, I didn't fiddle around this much, afraid I might damage the pin/port, will try again.
6. Tried draining it off completely to 0% until it auto shuts off and then charge it until 100% (this was recommended in one of the posts), did not work.
7. Tried different USB cables and ports(including original charger and wall port), did not work. I don't think this is a problem with cables/port.
I still think this was some kind of software problem, I hoped clean flashing the rom will fix this but was surprised to see that it does not!. or is it a hardware problem?
Anyone has a fix for this or seeing same symptoms(If so, how did you get around this)?
Thank you.
This is fixed now, after caliberating the battery(with a rooted app)
-> Rooted the phone(installed magisk), wiped cache and rebooted.
-> Installed Battery caliberation app[ROOT] (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ot.superthomaslab.batterycalibration&hl=en_IN) and caliberated the battery.
-> Did a reboot and the problem went away
I didn't even had to wait until 100% to caliberate the battery (but the app recommeds so)
[EDIT]
The problem came back after a while, now its kinda randomly happening, most of the times it seems to work fine.
But, then again, it only charges, it does not recognize USB connection(to PC, which I used to connect to successfully previously), I don't see the "touch for more usb options" notification either. A workaround to this is to change the default usb configuration(in developer tools) to a different one (I am switching between File transfer, No data transfer, PTP), but as soon as you disconnect and reconnect the problem resurfaces (you'll have to again switch the default usb configuration and then reconnect)
I am perplexed!, I thought this is clearly a software issue and I hoped it would go away if I clean flash rom (the exact same build which worked fine previously, also cleared everything including vendor partition and excluding external sd card)
