Just wondering if there is a way to make the flyer run on th 2100 network only... I get charged for roaming on the 900 network... And it still roams to to this when the "allow roaming" option is unchecked
Thanks

I've been struggling with configuring my Unlocked ATT streat to work on my local provider. It uses 850 MHz band. How can I manually check/configure the band?
I can't get a reliable connection at all.
Hey guys,
For those living in the US... do you happen to know what companies are compatible with our 3G bandwidth frequencies ?
I bought a T-Mobile SIM Card, it's working fine but I can't get 3G (UMTS) , just 2G (GSM) since T-Mobile uses 1700 and 2100 Mhz for his High Speed Data connections... and this mobile (both, sk17a and sk17i) doesn't support 1700mhz, but 850, 1900 and 2100.
I know AT&T uses 850&2100Mhz for 3G, but I think this company banned internet calls through 3G, which sucks.
So... is there any other company compatible with our mobile with 3G support?
Thanks
Did you order the phone outside of the US?
No, I ordered it on amazon and is the American model
Sent from my SK17a using XDA App
I got mine on Amazon and it's a SK17i.
I have T-mobile, but I have a problem with losing network randomly every now and then whatever I do.
edit:Apparently it was a SK17a. Could've sworn it said SK17i on the order page... Odd. Oh well.
I have network mode on manual and set to GSM only, but I still lose signal sometimes...
Try setting 'network mode' to manual, and choosing 3G or 2G only. It seems to help.

Yes: X10a/i is a world phone when sitting up to do this:
Menu/Sittings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click_GSM/WCDMA (Preferred).
If you want to do it right get the full answer. Some times yes or no is not enough.
i know that and is always there even when you go phone settings *#*#4636#*#* i select WCDMA/GSM auto mode.i just want to make sure.
thank's
I have the HTC Radar 4G on T-Mobile. Once I unlock it and use it on At&T, it will definitely do calls, but will it pick up 3G or 4G on the AT&T network? I asked HTC and they were unsure. Thanks!
Do a search in this forum to find your answer.

AT&T uses 850 MHz / 1900 MHz for GSM/GPRS/EDGE and the same two frequencies (850 / 1900) for UMTS/HSPA (their 3G/4G service).
T-Mobile uses the same frequencies (850 / 1900) for GSM/GPRS/EDGE, but uses 2100 MHz and 1700 MHz for UMTS/HSPA/AWS (their 3G / 4G network).
If you want to know what phones will work where, compare the frequencies they receive with those of the carrier you want to use.
In the case of the Radar, it uses the following frequencies
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850 MHz; 900 MHz; 1800 MHz; 1900 MHz
UMTS/HSPA: 1700 MHz; 2100 MHz
So, for GSM phone calls and data you have a match with AT&T (and, of course with T-Mobile). 3G / 4G is a different story. The Radar has the T-Mobile 3G/4g bands, but not the bands for high-speed data on AT&T.
So, if you are happy just making phone calls and using EDGE data, then you can use the phone on AT&T. If you want 3G /4G as well you have to stick with T-Mobile.
bleh bleh +10
I finally was able to get the h2O SIM card (AT&T service) and surprisingly it picks up 3G! I definitely notice the difference from when it goes from 2G up to the 3G speeds

Apparently. It says it does 2100/1900/1700/850
*T-Mobile only uses 1700/1900 bands. source
Interesting! I took my specs from the T-Mobile page which omits the UMTS 850/1900 band. Thanks for the correction.
The box clearly states GSM 850/900/1900/2100 AND HSPA/UMTS: 1700/1900/2100
AWS 1700 = T-Mobile, Wind, Mobilicity
UMTS 1900 = AT&T (although they use 850 extensively too), Rogers, Telus, etc
UMTS 2100 = Asia/Europe
My Radar picks up AT&T 3G. Not sure if UMTS 1900 band will be omnipresent on AT&T as a lot have been extended with HSPA 850 as well.
So, whereever you find UMTS 1900, you'll definitely catch AT&T 3G
Hope this helps.
So, will this work with the medianet plan?

YES!! Gets 6M downloads, 1.5M uploads.
I am having trouble in an area where Immix wireless is the carrier which is GSM 1900, im on ST(ATT most times WCDMA 1900) and a roaming agreement exists. But when I am in this area, data never connects. Our i777's should automatically switch from WCDMA 1900 to GSM 1900 correct? My baseband is UCLE5 btw. Thanks.

How would you do that? I777 modems are locked and should switch automatically, correct?
