I like some of the Themes listed in the Wiki but one question I have is can these be installed over the stock rooted Sprint ROM or do I have to flash a different ROM first?
Thanks.
Most of the "themes" are for cm7. There are a few for stock/stockesque (mik roms). In order to use a theme or rom you need to be rooted, s-off, with a custom recovery installed.
Always double/triple check what flavor (sense or aosp) of the theme you are going to apply... Mixing and matching sense and aosp can make your phone act silly...

I would suggest a different ROM not stock rooted Sprint ROM. Install a ROM compatible with whatever theme (sense 1.0 ROM if its a theme made for it or cm7 if its theme chooser app). Don't try flashing a sense 1.0 theme over sense 2.1 for example, its not going to work.

It depends on what theme... if its a flashable zip theme, you SHOULD be able to flash the original rom over it without harm (you will have to delete bloat/apps again) but if the rom contains wipe scripts you will start over from scratch... cm7 themes are changeable in the theme chooser...

Is there such thing as flashable lockscreens for the S2?
I'm on 4.0.3 ICS REMIX RESURRECTION XXLP6 Kernel.
I don't really like WidgetLocker or the typical, default lockscreen available with the custom ROM I have installed, I do however love everything else about it!!
I've used the search but I can't seem to find anything on flashable lockscreens using CWM Recovery
Theres no need to flash them via cwm... MiLocker has some ok ones

Thanks, just having a look now
Miui has a good range of lockscreens if you want to go down that route.

sometimes there is a need. especially if you need the lock to be the first thing that boots. ive had lock screens that dont boot right away and people were still able to get in. i am also looking for a flashable lockscreen
Tablet Mode for Galaxy Player 5 ICS ROMs - Supermaster34
I consider the galaxy player to be a sort of mini tablet, but so far most of the available roms use a Phone UI. The Phone UI is great, but the user experience can be enhanced with the addition of Tablet Mode. I know tablet mode has been applied to the Player 5 before, but on an old and buggy rom, so I decided to fiddle with a few bits and bobs and I managed to activate Tablet Mode. One of the best things about my MOD is the ability to apply the patch to any ICS rom. There may be a few UI bugs, but everything works as it should
Features:
Tablet Apps can be used
The Status Bar and Navigation Bar combine to form the Combined Bar
Landscape Lockscreen
Full Album Art displayed on Lockscreen
Apex launcher runs very smoothly in tablet mode
Can be applied to any ICS rom (I think)
Installation Instructions
RemICS-UX v1.3.1+:
Install the latest version of RemICS-UX if you don't already have it installed
Flash the RemICS-UX tablet mode zip file in recovery. No need to wipe anything, just flash it
Boot into the rom and download LCD Density Modder (or similar) and set the DPI to 128 or lower, but not below 120, and reboot
Read my Tips for Tablet Mode here
CM9:
Flash a CM9 rom if you do not already have one installed
Boot into recovery and flash the CM9 mod
Boot into the ROM and use LCD Density Changer (or similar) and set the DPI to 128 or below, but not lower than 120 and reboot
Read my Tips for Tablet Mode here
AOKP:
Flash an AOKP rom if you aren't already running one and boot into it.
Go to Settings > ROM Control > Navigation Bar and enable the nav bar.
Reboot into recovery and flash the AOKP mod
Boot into the ROM and go to Settings > ROM Control > General UI > LCD Density and follow the steps.
In step 5, scroll to the bottom on the list and select custom and set the DPI to 128 or less, but not less than 120
Reboot
Read my Tips for Tablet Mode here
Tablet mode can be entered by changing the DPI of the device to 128 or less, but putting it below 120 causes bootloops. I am still testing my mod, but it appears to work on any ICS rom for the player 5. All you have to do is flash the zip file in recovery over the rom you want to apply it to. No wipes required and setting the DPI above 128 returns the player to Phone UI
Tested to work on:
RemICS-UX v1.3.1 (Maybe v1.3.0) - Use the RemICS-UX version of the mod
Latest CM9 rom by me - Use the CM9 version of the mod
ICS Crumble v1.6 - Use the AOKP version of the mod
Untested but should work on:
Any CM9 based rom
Any AOKP based rom
Downloads
Mod for RemICS-UX. Click on Tabletmode DL on the right
Mod for CM9 roms
Mod for AOKP roms
Screenshots can be seen below
I try it on your ROM and it works but after uplying tablet mode youtube did not play video anymore(it worked perfectuly with before tablet update)..does it work for you or i did something wrong.

Which rom? RemICS-UX or CM9? I tried it just now on RemICS-UX v1.3.1 and it worked. Try turning off HD video or wiping cache and dalvik cache in recovery
the tablet patch doesn't work for remi ics v1.3.1 but it gives a nice theme style to apex launcher : )

It does work for RemICS-UX v1.3.1 but the touchwiz launcher doesn't work so I included apex launcher. Everything else works fine.
The MOD doesn't work perfectly with AOKP roms so I'm currently optimising the MOD for AOKP. Currently the MOD only works perfectly with RemICS-UX because I've modified some files in its system, but once I remake the MOD for stock CM9 and stock AOKP it should work on every rom

it does work yeah but you first need to put the dpi to 128 and have apex as standard launcher.

You can set the DPI to anything between 120 and 128 inclusive. You can also use any launcher which can handle tablet mode. Currently I think Apex handles it the best so that's why I included it in the mod
I have a problem... and i'm pretty sure it happened when I installed this tablet mode...
When i go to settings> apps... it causes a reboot..

OK for a short term fix you should move all of your apps on your SD card to the internal storage using titanium backup.
Which ROM did you apply the mod to?
Also are you sure it was caused by this mod? If it was I'll be able to fix it soon

RemICS-UX already had this bug. I've been trying to fix it for a while now but no luck yet. Just move your apps to the internal sdcard using titanium backup

Yeeeeeeeaaaaaah! I didn't even know until you pointed it out to me . Thanks for the tip! I'm planning to see how I can create a unified mod using Aroma installer so you can have one file which you can use to enable tablet mode on the different ICS roms. I'm also trying to fix the string misalignment on some roms. I can't give you an eta on any updates, but I'll try to be as quick as possible. The galaxy player 5 cannot afford to lose any more devs..
Also, first post on the XDA portal about the SGP
Congrats on the portal article, i believe this is the first time for the player.

Yeah, awesome job on making the front page! Now to get our 4.0 ICS thread there...now THAT would be nice .
I've got a Fascinate, but I bought it exclusively to use as a PMP, but I hate all of the phone features it still has. Anyone foresee massive problems arising by using this patch on the original Galaxy S, to effectively convert it to being a Galaxy Player?

Yeah it probably won't boot. If you can upload your services.jar from /system/framework I can make a patch for you. Might have to wait until Sunday as I'm busy until then

Is there any mod to have recent apps like on Sense 4? I'm using AOSP ROM, and I've been searching for a while but I haven't found anything. So I would appreciate if somebody could help me.

You have to find a ROM using Leedroid Tweaks Like mwakious or Cool ICS Rom , you will find the option the tweaks
He meant sense 4 recent apps on AOSP roms not sense roms. A simple google search turned up this thread. not sure if this will work but you could always nandroid and try:

I really miss the stock motoblur clock app. I just have a question that can I install that clock app on my CM7? If yes, please post the apk
I think that all the blur apps are not compatible with any other rom, i mean they will not be installed in any other non-blured rom (i am 99% sure about that)(ex. i tried with no luck installing a touchwiz app on cm10.1) but you can always give it a try.
I dont use GB so i cant provide you the apk, but its easy to find it. just download a blured rom, then open the flashable zip (with a browser) and find the apk in the system apps
