Im looking for a little help regarding this phone for roms. I have a bell atrix and I was successful in rooting and installing CWM. I want to install a rom and I was reading as much as I can on this and it was said that because its a bell atrix I cant unlock it so i have to install p-roms but when I go to GingerBlur Beta, it says not to install if you have a bell atrix so Im a bit confused. Any help would be appreciated. If this has already been talked about, Im sorry but I searched and could not find it
I believe there are a couple of P-ROM's you can install on Bell, but most you can't. You'll have to look for the couple you can use I'm afraid, or look through threads seeing what other Bell users have done.

Can anyone point me towards instructions on how to take a dump of the stock ROM from my Orange UK Atrix? I'd like to make a backup before I load a custom rom. And once I've created a dump, and how do I turn that into and SBF file?

You cannot currently dump and sign your own sbf

So is there no way of doing a dump, and then using it to restore to stock if there's a problem with a one of the updated ROMS? Is there any other way to switch back?
What are ya new

I got the same problem. I´m trying to install GingerBlur but I wanted to know what should I do to go back to stock if something goes wrong.

Yeap, make us two. I tried to manage a different rom in my Sony Xperia X10 and totally screwed the phone, it doesn't even turn on yet =/
I'm looking forward to install other rom (most possibly GingerBlur) in my Atrix, I've buyed it branded, wanna de-brand it. Hate those 'Claro' stuff =D
So far there has not been any SBF's for the brazillian atrix...
That's a bummer, i really wanted to experiment, but if I can't go back to the original, it's kind of a deal breaker for me...

Can´t u go with the 1.8.3?
That's the SBF from telstra right!?
I've downloaded it and want to flash it, but, not having a way back kind of freaks me out...
With my late Milestone, there were all sorts of sbf's avaible...
How do i know that the tellus sbf is more up to date them my brazillian one?
Read the guide in the dev forum. Only at&t phones can have at&t sbf's. All the other phones can share sbfs AFAIK. therefore brazil atrix cannot get 1.8.3 as its for at&t. These are the risks in modifying locked down devices

But even if he has a brazilian atrix, he can flash back to a original AT&T sbf right?
No i believe his options are the telstra and France sbf's.
Best option is to use CWM to make a nandroid backup before installing any other mods.
New to android and the forms and looking into some info on seven guide. I would post on that page but since im new I can't so I thought I would start here. It shows that Canadian Atrix (OLYLA 0.37.4)is supported, now I have 2.2.2 OLYLA 0.37.23 as a build number. Since my build number is newer can I not use any of the methods posted on his guide. I alreadyhave it rooted with gingerbreak but I was looking to deodex the systm and run grey blur on the phone.
Thanks
Some roms are for the att version only I would go post on one of the roms you want and ask. The developer should be able to point you in the right way.
AT&T ATRIX - VERSION 2.3.4 ROOTED BL UNLOCKED
I know that done roms won't work on bell. Grayblur works adter flashing the smb. I just don't know if my build is supported or not

Bell firmwares are not supported. You can run greyblur on the Frech SBF (2.1.1). It's very easy to get greyblur on a Bell Atrix, unfortunately it means flashing another SBF. It's not such a big deal anymore though because we have a method of getting back to stock Bell if need be. My advice: follow Seven's guide and flash greyblur or gingerblur on your phone. It's much smoother and I found a significant increase in battery life. If you don't like it, you can always find the guide in the general section that explains how to get back to Bell's firmware. It's all very straightforward if you follow the guides to a T. We are lucky to have such helpful members in the Atrix community!

I rooted my phone and put GingerBlur 4.5 (on 1.8.3?) on it a long time ago. I'd like to update to the latest from Motorola firmware with the unlocked boot loader and flash CM7.
I'm not sure how to do that though and I'm a little nervous to flash the firmware too because of all the bricked phones.
Can someone point me to the appropriate threads to read to get where I want to be?
Thanks,
Z
search for swift's noob guide in General section.

Hi all
I apologize for my bad English. I own a Sprint Photon, of course, and I live outside the U.S.. I bought the Photon from ebay and who sold it has installed Electrify rom that you see in the screen attached. I would like to try other roms, but I'm totally noob with Android, it's my first Android, so I want to know how not to brick my phone. When the Photon starts, there is written at the top, unlocked.
There is the CWM backup and a recovery 1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.5-4.5.1A_SUN_USC_19.0-19-release-keys-signed-USC-US.zip
Can anyone help me or give me a link?
Thanks in advance
Darkane
PS: I have also installed a version of Ubuntu webtop, I would like to remove it since I do not use

None can help me? :crying:
With your phone unlocked, you should have no trouble installing the roms posted in the development sub forum. Essentially all you should have to do is place the zip of the rom in a folder on your site card and flash through CWM. However each rom has specific instructions, so read and reread carefully.
Each person has their own tase for roms and no one is going to tell you that there is one best rom, I'm using CM7 right now, after having CM10 installed for a while.

That actually looks like stock Android for the electrify. Are you sure you are running a custom rom? Are you sure you got a photon? Some people list items wrongly in ebay so you should check those two things before going flashing anything

That screenshot reeks of a US Cellular SBF that has been floating around but if it says unlocked you might be okay.
Install the CWM, do a nandroid then grab a known-working non-stock ROM from the dev forum. See what happens. As long as it stays unlocked you can fix it.
