Hi,
I got my SGT a week ago and i tried downloading a few stuff from the stock browser (or any browser for that matter). i couldn't download anything from rapidshare or megashare or any other uploading site. also i tried downloading a .pptx file from google groups and also got the same message "<Untitled> download unsuccessful".
my phone (Nexus s) did manage to download it just fine.
Does anyone have a solution to that problem?
Thanks in advance,
Miki.

try renaming your download folder in /sdcard/ to another name and try downloading again.. the browser recreates the download folder and it seems to work for me again
I tried downloading opera and i managed to download the pptx file, but i couldn't download from file sharing because it counts the time for a few seconds and stops.
i also tried renaming the download folder but it didn't work.

Ummm I have the stock browser with Astro installed and in the settings for astro it has an option to allow you to download all file types did you try that?
What filehosting service are you using?
Filesonic, Fileserve, Wupload... You name it.
And what has Astro to do with web browser?
EDIT: Didn't help.
Have you tried another Browser? It would help to know if it's a Browser specific issue after all.
Opera can download those files just fine. Dolphin obviously can't, since it's using stock kernel.
Can someone recommend a dowlnload manager please? Would be great if it also let me download files from sites like filesonic, etc

I use Byte Tornado (free from the market). Its an add-on for the default browser that allows it to download anything that it would not normally download. Really works quite well. Also works perfectly when downloading files from file sharing sites (mediafire, multiupload etc)

I use Opera Browser, the included download manager works like a charm.
I tried Bytetornado which is great but doesn't work on https pages (usefull if you have prenium account on host site or use fast-debrid for exemple).
Opera even let you choose where to download on your sd/card for each file (with no file extension's restriction), and ask you if you want to hide the download progress.
If you just need the download manager and have few ram less, you can use Opera mini.
Hope it helps

Hi,
I installed the latest Adobe Flash 11 update from the Market, but now flash no longer seems to work in Opera Mobile 11.1. However, it does work in the stock browser. Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem too?
Cheers,
morkli
PS: I should add that I installed the same flash update on my SGS2 and flash still works fine in Opera.
i can confirm this, right after update to 11 opera mobile have problems.
Sometime when i am quick enough to click play on video it works but when i just let it go, it shows just empty space of original size of flash plugin or sometimes it just disapear at all - whole flash block in page is missing
cheers

Yes, well aware of that and already tried it. After uninstall of update, Opera reports no flash plug-in. Stock browser is still fine. So, it's like the flash 11 upgrade breaks flash in Opera that even the uninstall does not fix
May be something to do with the fact that lastest Flash Player before 11 was part of my ROM, rather than from the Market. Uninstalled Flash Player 11 and Opera. Googled apk for Flash Player 10.3.185.21, downloaded and installed that, then reinstalled Opera. Flash now working again in Opera
Will see again when next Flash or Opera updates are availabale.

Yes, did that. See post above
Removed flash 11 update, removed opera. Downloaded flash 10.3 apk but unable to install. Failed. Any other idea? Opera reinstall did not help. Flash still working in standard browser. And flash 11 is updating automaticaly. Even after uncheck auto update.

Yes, thanks, I confirm that too
ESPN.com videos?
Is anyone able to watch video content on ESPN.com since Flash 11?? I've been trying to figure this out for 3 days straight and nothing. The Hulu mod doesn't even get ESPN.com's video content working like it used to.
If I try to download files to my browser through pretty much any share site, I either get download failed or a 1kb htm file. I know the solution to this is to install opera browser. Problem is, I like the stock browser especially now that its all synced up with my Google account. I have tried astro file manager (option to allow browser downloads and that didn't work either.
If the astro file manager thing didn't work maybe try Download All Files from the Play Store. And if that doesn't you could try a modded browser such as ICS Browser+, also in the Play Store.

more info required as which ROM are you on... GB/ICS...
although i dont think it makes a difference...
If on ICS stock brower... go to menu ...settings..advanced... default storage...
see if its selected to phone...(memory card only if you have one slotted in the phone)
i just checked a download from www.filehippo.com
works for me...
i dont think you need to use any other browser or app to download stuff...
